Installed a couple of these after many recommendations on social media. Very impressed as it’s exactly the same boiler internally as the top end baxi 800 series. Only differences is there’s no pipe up back option without purchasing a stand off bracket, no heating filter supplied, 5 year warranty which is great for the price and standard filling loop instead of easy / quick fill type. As the baxi it has a open therm wiring option as well!
I wouldn’t even put this in a budget boiler category if I didn’t know the price. Very very good value for money with this boiler.

been fitting baxi 600 and 800s for a couple of years now and needed a cheaper boiler for landlord jobs. I decided to try the main eco and was extremely pleased, especially when I took it out the box to find it was a baxi 600 but with a slightly different case. it comes with a 5 year warranty backed up by baxi. this is now my go to boiler when I quote to landlords.

We were not a fan of Main products until advised about the Main Eco compact had stainless heat exchanger and basically a Baxi 200 with a 5 year warranty, pretty excellent we thought, now recommend a a budget boiler.

Main eco 25/30 are the same baxi boiler as the 630/830. Ok so you only get 5 year warranty but compared to the 10 year on an 830 but you save around £400-£500. Baxi backup and support, you can't go wrong with a main for the price you pay.

Solid boiler!
The soldier was the Main Eco Elite which done the job no other boiler wanted to do and worked with a dirty system, this was a beast!
The new eco compact is very good value for money but has a lot to live up to and only time will tell, I did have a few problems with the purging cycle on a few of them and one had a to have a new pcb installed but good old Baxi heat team never fail.

Good little boiler if your looking for a sub £500 quid one.
In reality it’s a Baxi 600 with a different badge and a few cheaper components.
I’ve fitted loads of these for landlords since their release and as yet haven’t had any issues. Will update in due course on longevity but for now definitely 5star if your looking for a cheap lift boiler.
