Hi guys. It's Dave from Expert Trades, DCB Plumbing & Heating. Today, I have something in my hands and I'd like to do a little review. It's my brand new tool, and it is a tool, although it is concealed in here. It is a tool. It is a very, very tiny tool. This, my friends, is a four inch Bahco adjustable spanner. What it is, of course, is it is a 0 to 13 millimetre spanner. Only tiny.
I'm a gas engineer, a plumber, so the two I normally carry around, the reason I bought this is to replace these two things, is replace this 8 mil spanner, which is normal drain cock size. So I've always got one of them in case of emergencies to undo a drain cock if something is leaking and I need to drain out quickly. The other one is my 10 mil. I mean this particular one is a ratchet one, but a 10 mil, which is, for all you gas men out there, is the test nipple on a gas metre is always 10 mil. So I've always got these clipped to me. I always have them just on a calliper with a couple of radiator keys and me gas box key. I always have these clipped onto me so that I've always got them.
So again, all I've done it for is, it doesn't come with the ring. It doesn't come with that. That's actually from something else. I just thought it'd be easier for me, personally. So that'll just clip on there, which clips onto my belt so I've always got these particular things always to hand. The worst thing is, is me 10 mil spanner, for example, the main reason I've done this is me 10 mil spanner is actually quite a lot longer, and gets in the way when driving. It is right in the way of me seatbelt buckle, things like that, because that's just the side I have it on.
It's absolutely fantastic. It is a wonderful little, very, very easy, the wheel is very, very good, very, very quick. Very, very good. I just thought I'd do a little thing. Something fits very much in the ... Like I say, it's four inches. It is, I think it's just over four inches, but it's called the four inch. It's the perfect size. It's long enough to have enough torque to do anything that I ever need to do, and it's so small, it's actually smaller than the spanners that I have originally.
So I mean, I'm not losing anything, but I don't have to carry 13 different spanners. I can carry one, and for them odd occasions when you go to a drain cock and it's not 8 mil, or you go to something and it's not 10 mil, or you're adjusting a boiler and you just need that tiny little spanner to get that nut that's on the back and you just can't reach it, it's small enough to get into every little place. I think it is about £15. I have to admit, that's nothing for a tool nowadays.
I do highly recommend it. I think it's absolutely fantastic. Just really good quality, as well, you know? If you've got any other Bahco gear then you'll know what I mean. It is of the same quality. I mean, £15 for something small, I suppose, is expensive, if you want to call it that, but I know this'll save me, oh, countless hours over a year of just not rooting in the bag. It's just on me hip, rather than having it elsewhere. That's only how I work, but I have to admit, really do recommend it. Superb little thing. Very well built, good build quality. Hope that was good enough for you. Take care, guys.
