Now then, people, it's Macauley from SmartPipe Plumbing Services. Just before we get started, I'd like to say a big thank you to Tool Talk TV for sending me out these two products. We've got the Monument Autocut plastic plumbing pipe cutters and the Monument Autocut plastic waste pipe cutters.
These are not something I've used in the past. They're quite a new product to myself. I've not had a chance to use the plastic pipe cutters, but I've used the waste pipe cutters this week. Why I've not had one of these before, I don't know. I've used other brands, as you can see in other videos I've done in the past, and these blow them out of the water. I won't name the brands, but they're a lot more usable. They're a all-around better product, in my opinion. Each to their own, but yeah, my opinion.
So first of all, we'll start with the plumbing pipe cutters. So in here, you get a 10 mm, a 15 mm, a 22 mm, and a 28 mm, placed in a nice, handy little box. Oh, and they also come with a pack of spare blades, which is handy to have for future use. Your 10 mil, your 15 mm, 22 mm, and your 28 mm. So they all come with their own blade protectors, which should slot in there nicely.
They feel really good products. They are made of plastic, which sometimes I'm always a bit wary of, but this is solid plastic, this. You could throw these in your toolbox and you wouldn't have to worry that they're going to get smashed, as I've done with other products before. The blades are interchangeable. Like I said, you get your spare blades there. You've only got to take a couple of screws out, your blade will swap over, all back together, all-singing, all-dancing.
Right, onto your waste pipe cutters. They're in a similar size box but they're slightly bigger, which I'm going to struggle to get off, but there you go. There you go. So they should come in a 32 mm. We've got a 40 mm, and we've also got a 50 mm, so inch and a quarter, inch and a half, a two inch for you old-school plumbers. .Move that out of the way They also do come with an extra pack of blades, handy for future use, like I said before. They work exactly the same. I don't have to show you how to use every single one, but I have got a bit of inch and a quarter pipe here. It can be used on solvent and push-fit pipe.
So yeah, let's try it out. So you just put your pipe into the yellow side, clamp it down, and you can see on the product, it has got the arrows, in which way to turn it. So you just squeeze and turn. In one turn, that's cut all the way through, which is really impressive. Unlike some other products, the hole is directly in the middle, so you wouldn't be able to get it in tight to walls and stuff like that to turn it, which I've had trouble with before where I couldn't turn it properly. So I do highly rate these covers, so I definitely would recommend them.
The only thing that I would improve, and Monument, if you are listening, this is one thing that I'd like to see and I definitely would be buying off yourself, even if it's just the inch and a quarter, inch and a half, and the 15 mil and the 22, they're in one product. So you can clamp it down onto a 15 mil or a 22 mil pipe and it will cut it, same with the inch and a half, and inch and a quarter, but keeping it so that the hole is directly in the middle so the access is a lot better. I think that would be a really good product. That's something I would definitely buy, and I think a lot of plumbers out there would buy. This is something I would use on a day-to-day basis, these products alone, nevermind the one that I'd like to have, if you're interested in making me one.
So yeah, there's nothing really else to say about these. They're all very self-explanatory. They cut the waste pipe in one turn, what more could you want? You don't want no messing about, having to cut it loads of time with hacksaws and all the rest of it. You get a nice, clean finish on the pipe as well. No need to file that down. That'll go straight onto your pipe, will that. So yeah, guys, I hope you enjoyed the video. I hope to see you all again sometime. Thank you, and goodbye.
