Hi, I'm Dave from DCB Plumbing and Heating. The tool I'm reviewing today is two tools. It is the Olive Cutters from Monument Tools. These are the Monument cutters. You put the pipe through the centre. Instead of having to put off the olive itself, you can physically put it over the end, make sure that it's in line, squeeze it together, and there it is. It's gone. That is the olive cut, and removed so you can remove the olive. The nut is still intact if you needed that for a particular reason, and the pipe is still in perfect condition. No scratches, no dents, so you can easily reuse that set pipe.
It also comes in the 22. The 22 is a little bit harder to use, because obviously you are putting a little bit more force into the actual, what's it again, olive cutter straight on in line. There it goes, and that's it. Simple as that. The olive is removed because it's been snipped, then the pipe is in perfect order. No problems whatsoever. Very, very easy to use. That's got me out of lots of scrapes over the past six or eight months that I've had these. Trying to get hacksaws in to try and just nick it so you can take it off, not very easy at all, whereas these, make it a double. Too easy. I'd give it another five star review for both of them. They do work better on copper olives, because obviously copper is a soft metal, but apart from that, if you're lifting boilers into lofts, I'm pretty sure you can squeeze one of these to get the olive off.
I'm Dave from DCB Plumbing and Heating, and today I've reviewed the Monument Olive Cutters, both the 15 mil and 22 mil. I would recommend these to anyone who's working with any kind of copper pipe work. Absolutely fantastic tool again from Monument. Always top quality, always to the highest standard, and definitely #AskForMonument.
