Review for Wiha 9pc MagicRing hex key set in ErgoStar holder (37351) by Smart Sparks

The first impressions of the product were that they were 5 star however having used them they weren’t as comfortable in the hand as competitors and they magic ball ring is just a little rubber o ring which in the larger keys seemed a little loose although did not come out under some pressure The magic ball genuinely does work to hold bolts when screwing other than that, there isn’t really much to say as they are a basic tool Although as I said earlier on the larger keys the magic ball o ring looks to be a little loose it does actually work and do what it claims to do This answer is based purely on the fact that I got it for free, the list price on the website is £70+ which I just would not pay, you can get them cheaper on amazon and the likes which I would consider paying however the main thing that would stop me buying this product is the all metal handle, I prefer hex keys with a plastic rounded casing as I work as an industrial electrician so come across some very tough hex bolts and have found that the ergo star are very tough on hands due to being a metal hex all the way down the shaft instead of having a handle like the wera version. I feel if the magic ball was available with this kind of handle I would happily pay £50+ but when you consider that the wera set is £30 this is being very generous.

Solid construction no rounding of edges Easy markings allowing you to choose the correct size when required Holder is easy to use and helps with selection. Also doesnt slip out of any terminals pr screws etc After wasting money on other sets in the past this seems value for money due to not having to buy any others

I won a set of these from an expert trades competition a while back. They’re a really handy set with all the usual sizes, my set is multicoloured so once you get used to which is which it’s easy to quickly grab the size you need. My favourite thing about them is the how when you turn one out the rest of the set opens with it.

Brought this set as I needed extra length Alan keys and they seem to be nice and robust, sometimes on the longer sets the metal isn’t strong enough, these ones are fine tho

Sold tools both in design and use. Never been disappointed by them, haven't had any problems with the corners rounding off. Housed in a handy carrier they fit in my toolbox without taking up space. Reasonably priced for a good quality tools

These Allen keys are quite simply a staple point in my tooling, I have three kits depending on the work I am undertaking and these are in all three sets. Part of my work is oil/kerosene based which pits/eats away at tools, thus far my original set have been absurd with this exposer for the past 3 to 4 years and show no sign of degradation, I highly recommend
