Had an alpha boiler for 14 years they have a good back up service if anything goes wrong also you can get alpha boiler with a gas saver kit

I have an alpha boiler and what a great company they are, had the boiler 8years and had a few problems recently so rang alpha and they still covered it on warranty

Great boilers had mine over 10 years with hardly any faults would highly recommend for anyone looking for a new combi boiler and come with long warranty

Alpha is my go to boiler because of the service and support they provide aswell as the great range of warranty from them.
Only had 1 or 2 faults in the 30 boilers I have fitted over the last 3 years.
In my opinion better than vaillant and Worcester

Good boilers if you are on a budget. Boilers work well, I have fitted a few of these on landlord properties and they haven’t had any problems.

Good boilers overall and would definitely fit them again.

Come a long way in last few years with the gas saver and storage combo on the market good build quality and extended warranty with stand off bracket

It would be fair to say that alpha is not my 1st choice of manufacturers.
Over the years, I have repaired loads for water leaks.
The spare parts are really expensive compared to other manufacturers too.
Hopefully they have sorted the issues out, they now come with long warranties, so spare parts costs shouldn’t be an issue as long as the customer sticks by the T&Cs to keep the warranty.

Value for money boilers, the long lasting build quality may not be the same as other brands after a few years of installation....................................................

We usually fit an alpha boiler for landlords or customers that just want a low budget boiler but still in my opinion a good quality boiler.
They have a good range of products

I used to fit alphas a lot but with the problems with them leaking a lot and the expensive parts to repair I have stopped fitting them years ago. Think they are a little better now. Nice cheap boilers for landlords

Recently gone back to giving these a go as a Landlord special, after hearing some positive reviews from other engineers.
Used to fit their CDC range many years ago but sadly like most, quality parts were replaced with inferior and so the brand fell from a good standing, well in my eyes anyway.

I’ve fitted a few alpha boilers and had problems with them straight out of the box, leaking on factory made seals. Would never recommend to a customer again. Build quality is poor and not the cheapest boilers out there either

Quality boilers at keen prices. Warranties up to 13 years !!!! One of the best on the market. Also a good back up service with technical advice and expert engineers if needed.

I’ve fitted many alphas over the years and there current range of e-tec and evoke with up to 13 years warranty is up there with the best . It’s good to see quality components and a stainless steel heat exchanger

Even tho these boilers are cheap they’re not value for money, would be so horrible to fit one for a customer. These things leak like a mad.

I used to look at Alpha as an economic or cheaper brand, but after a customer of mine with a few properties asked me to install 2, about 4 years ago, I changed my opinion.
They now have the same main heat exchanger, hot water heat exchanger, brand of gas valve, manufacturer of the electronic parts, and fan manufacturer as Vaillant who are perceived to be a top end boiler. But Vaillant for a LOT more cost..... ? Where's the money go?
And most of the same names as Baxi too I believe.

3 customers of mine have Alphas that I didn't fit that are all around 12 years old, & to date have been much better than a lot of Worcester & Vaillant I have been called to fix.

Their "bottom end" Evoke boiler matches the "top guys" for their 7 year warranty, and fit the Alpha Cyclone filter adds a year, up to 8!
or go to the E-tec Plus and it's 10 years out of the box!!!!
Fit their filter with mounting frame (premier pack) to take it to 13 years!!!!!!!!

So with those warranties I have had many customers go for them over all the others, I've fitted quite a few since they went up to these levels!

Economy?
They've far more confidence in their products than the other guys!!!

Yes I agree with the other reviews that the pipes are different to the usual pattern, but so what it's just pipes to alter isn't it. Alpha actually do a pipe crossover kit if you're short of fittings in the van.

And the flue may not match up precisely with what's coming off, but I suppose we have to earn some of our money hey fellas!
The display has improved greatly recently and tells us way more than the Worcester did for years.
Yes we could do with a bigger output on the combi range.

All up I have no hesitation in offering the option of Alpha along with the others I install to customers I hope will be coming back to me for many years for routine servicing, with hopefully no repairs. That's what gets me my business - happy customers recommending me.

Great budget boiler and great back up service . Really need bigger output boilers as 28 & 33 KW boilers are a very poor range hopefully this gets sorted ASAP

Recently installed Alpha etec 28 for a customer on a budget replacing old cb28 with vertical flue
To be fair for the money it was a good boiler , easy to install .
Negative points are flow and return position to other boilers are different didn’t mater on this occasion.
Also flue centre is different from new to old model

Very sound budget boiler. The filter is tbh ghastly looking. But putting that aside the boiler itself is simple to install if you ignore the unusual pipe configuration. Easy to Commission but very basic display
