If you are going to have a hammer! It has to be a estwing. I have had mine for a few years now and would not ever look back. Fits the hand well with great balance

Old stuff is better then the new stuff on the market but overall quality is still there. Nothing comes close go to product for all types of hammers etc

I have a lot of love for these hammers I now have five of them my most recent one is the drilling hammer which is so good being a heavy lump hammer with a longer handle I love the colour of these tools and the overall design and build quality and comfort best part with the lump hammers is they dont twist in your hand when hammering like some hammers do

My go to brand for their product range. I swapped to their hammers from another brand and seen a huge difference in balance and feel at the same weight as other brands. Excellent quality and a solid high end brand.

Got to say these are by far the best hammers on the market! Will not be going to any other hammer brand again just great build quality and very fair prices too!

Best brand of hammers available, the one piece construction makes them virtually indestructible. Straight claws gives extra leverage and the longer handles also make for easier use when nailing above your head or when hammering in bridgings between joists.

I’ve used my estwing hammer and board lifter for many years and they’ve put up with some abuse. I can’t fault them and I would always recommend one to others.

Had an estwing 20oz hammer since I started grafting and it’s never failed me grip still perfect top quality hammer. They are abit pricey however to say it just a swinging stick but I suppose you get what you pay for.

Estwing hammers are by far the best. They are the best quality with a wide range of models and grips. I have a couple, they are very comfortable to use and although they are a little expensive they are worth every penny. For a tool that you use all day every day it’s worth spending the money.

Very good hammer, very durable. Nice flat surface to hammer things. Good handle length for lots of momentum and no annoying clinking noise that some hammers make on impact. Handle is comfy and the 16oz is plenty heavy enough for my needs of just clipping cables down. Thumbs up

Great quality product, well balanced. Tried many different hammers but always come back to Estwing. Might be a little more expensive but feel the quality is worth the price.

Had an Estwing hammer when I started my apprenticeship back in 94, still going strong today! Good quality products. You pay that little bit more than other brands but if you look after your tool ... it will look after you !! Ha. Can’t fault this brand of hammer. Go on treat yourself!

Estwing are great. I had a brief flirt with another brand but will always come back to them. Yes they are expensive but unless you are in a habit of leaving tools on site they will last a lifetime. Great quality.

After using several makes of hammer I found Estwing ! The 24oz is (for me) then perfect combination of weight and balance. The fact it's comfortable to use is an added bonus.

I’ve used a 24oz estwing hammer since I was an apprentice 31 year’s ago. An I wouldn’t use anything else. Brilliant Balance for me. I also use the estwing axe for cutting wooden plug’s.

Have a 16oz estwing leather grip hammer and it is by far my favourite in the tool box! I’m a woman with little hands so it’s perfect weight and size to get a good swing and grip. Had it from day one and still going strong with no wear and tear high quality product!!

Good quality brand, definitely up to any job you can throw at them. Have used them for years and will continue to use estwing hammers going forward.

The best hammers on the market you can not beat estwing perfectly weighted. You may think that they are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and these hammers will last you a lifetime can't fault them at all. Brilliant

If you can keep the prying eyes of other tradesmen on site off your hammer these are well worth the money! A hammer that will last you you're career if you can keep it, Just don't put it down to long because the light fingered type will have it away.

I've had two over the years and both have been stolen on site so I buy Stanley fat max now

Love my 24oz framing hammer so solid has survived being dropped countless times and can drive a 3 inch wire in with 3 sacks if the technique is right amazing brand and If mine ever breaks wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one

Great tools, last for ever. Only downside is when the plastic bit goes at the top and all the leather hoops start moving. I used some araldite and string to fix this, lasted for over a year now. Will buy again and fully recommend to everybody

Don't use hammers as much as I used too,,, it's nearly all done with screws now but when a hammer is called for I reach for my trusty Estwing,, had mine thirty years now and not many tools last that long

Can’t really beat an estwing hammer. Very good value for money. They are balanced nicely. I go for the 20oz claw hammer. Smaller or bigger ones are available. They have a very good range on all types of hammers

A colleague of mine has an Estwing hammer which I borrow as often as I can as it’s such a comfortable and capable tool to use. I don’t think I’ll be stretching to buying my own though as they are a little expensive! My brain can’t justify that sort of cost for that sort of tool, unless I used it all day every day, and I don’t.

Estwing have a well deserved reputation for making quality hammers. In my opinion they are the best hammers on the market, l own several different ones.
They are perfectly balanced so you have maximum impact for the least effort

What can i say. When it comes to hammers Estwing are the route for most tradesmen. The only hammer i have used that i preferred was the Vaughan Steel Eagle (sadly i left mine hanging from a rafter of a central london 6th floor newly refurbished roof) bought my Estwing as a replacement having been unable to find a stockest for my lost hammer, not far off the quality but the hickory shock block within the steel eagle does make a difference.

Years ago when i was not long started out in this game i thought it was time to get some quality tools for a change. Well i was certainly not disappointed when i got the leather bound handle claw hammer. I still use it to this day!

Everything they do is a super high quality and 99% of the time you are getting exactly what you pay for. A tool that will last you a life time in every aspect you expect it to complete.

But because they are such a well known brand there is a huge market for fakes. The fakes are the 1% that will disappoint.

More expensive than the average hammer but you can see why. Completely outlasts all other competitors, great product range and customer service if you have any issues. Would highly recommend.

I have burnt through some average priced hammers and thought finally I would invest a little bit more. Completely worth it, I wouldn’t choose a waffle head design again given half the chance because the head is positive enough and it would be nice to sink it without leaving a pattern on the timber. Very much states made in taiwan despite all ads claiming made in America. But it a great hammer, lovely hickory handle.

For years i would wonder why eswing hammers cost so much?, thinking about it it became evident that because they are of such a good quality, they last so long!! A lot longer than the average hammer.

My children got me an estwing over 25 years ago was still going strong until some thieving scumbag stole all my tools. Got a replacement and expect it to last now until I die or another scumbag steals it

Had my last hammer for 25 years still it got stolen on site these hammers are great to use every Day and all day you only know how good they are when you don’t have it.

I’ve have got three estwing claw hammers the first one I bought was over 25 year ago still have it bought another for my other tool box now my son is working with me I’ve bought him one now excellent product would recommend to anyone

I've had the same Estwing now for 10+ years and it's not failed me yet, you call tell the quality of the tool With how long it's lasted. I wouldn't have any other hammer.

Excellent quality tools not always the cheapest but you get what you pay for quality dosent come cheap a variety of well thought out useful accessories for the tool box that can be adapted for various jobs

The go to for a multi use hammer it’s either this or the dewalt demolition hammer both have their own uses a great company for a great build quality hammer

Pay the money and look after it & it will be by your side for life, solid, Balanced . Market leader in hammers every good chippy has one and the other trades should too.

Owned this Estwing hammer brand from being an apprentice. With 18 yrs of hard graft its still going strong. Real testament to quality of this product. The hammer is due me nothing really.

I challenge you to find a better more comfortable hammer my thirty year old 20oz fits in my hand and will pound nails all day long without me becoming tired. Has minimal rebound if struck poorly struck so all good

Definitely the best hammer money can buy. Been using for years and always is my favourite. Not the cheapest but that reflects with the quality

In my opinion as a professional carpenter Estwing Hammers are the best and have been for many years. I have had at least four Of their Hammers all different sizes for different tasks including a straight claw etc. They are all still going strong and continue to have the best balance of any of their kind and I don’t think I will ever go onto any other pro products I was in this brand!

My eswing hammer is Probably my oldest tool got it as a 16 year old apprentice im 30 now and I still have the same hammer the old issue with it is the grip at the bottom is starting to split. I know when you look at eswing and think £50 for a hammer but trust me its worth it

Top quality hammer had mine since the 90s, something that was made to last and they did guarantee the quality of their product, the is question if today you can get similar quality for much lower price

Had a s-wing hammer for nearly 20 years and still going strong from roofers to bricklayers to joiners all have used a s-wing at some time and the quality of the products speak for themselves

My opinion on estwing hammers is that they are durable, good value for money and very easy to come across. More expensive and possibly better hammers are available on the market but an estwing is a good solid choice.

I’ve had my estwing for many years it beats the pants off any other hammer love it when one of the lads comes on site with a new Stanley or dewalt hammer and it breaks don’t get anything but an estwing

Why would you have any other hammer. Lovely to use and last years, the problem is on site is that you need to keep your eye on it or will be stolen or swapped for a cheap one

Have used some of their hammed in the past and very impressed with them. Still yet to take the plunge very difficult to justify the money for a just a hammer!

Estwing is the best hammers out there, the only problems I have occurred is the people who will take them on site so I can only get away with a Stanley on site

My first hammer was the estwing blue handle it’s served me well throughout my apprenticeship only now is second to my new Martinez M1. But it will always be in the tool box.

There really is no other hammer to have then the eswing framing hammer. Its so comfortable to use good quality handle which doesnt slip when in use. And u can drive 4inch nail hkne in 2 to 3 hits just toatlly awesome hammer

Is there any other hammer to have apart from an estwing? I've got 4 or 5 and my first claw hammer is still in use from getting it as an apprentice 25 years ago!
If i need another hammer its got to be an Estwing.

My preference is the 20oz which is an ideal weight for me. These are a greatly balanced and durable hammer. They’re ergonomics make them very comfortable to use all day. I also like the 28oz framing hammer for those jobs that require a little more persuasion.

I have 2 of theses there are just the best hammer out there they are great for ripping stuff out as the claw is set back. I have a 16oz and a 24 oz

On my 2nd due to building the first under the floorboards and if I was to need a 3rd it would be the same, a 20oz estwing. Only hammer that feels right in the hand. Have considered a martinez once or twice though haha

Simply The best claw hammer Ive used the 20 oz version is heavy enough for most jobs and has various uses. The balance is excellent feels like an extension of your arm.

I always wanted an Estwing hammer just because they looked the part and when I seen the price I thought why would I pay that much for this Hammer however my fears was soon put to bed. There’s a reason the old boys on-site still have Estwing hammers from 30 years ago and that’s because they last forever.

I have just acquired my first ever personal estwing, all of my very own. I have used other people's and really liked the feel of them. Now I've got my own, I don't think I'll use another claw hammer. A+++++++

I’ve used a lot of different hammers over the years and my favourite by far is the Estwing. Usually a bit more expensive than some of the others but they are built to last and have a nice feel.
I’m starting to get some tools together for my new apprentice and the claw hammer will be one of the first tools to go in the bag.

Estwing make awesome hammers. Top build quality, although expensive. Highly recommend them. Ive a 15oz ultra claw hammer and it does everything I ask of it

A company with a reputation for hammers. And expensive ones at that. I can attest it is a good hammer. However as I don’t use a hammer regularly for much more that demolition and knocking in and out a few nails , I can’t see that it’s a product targeted at a large audience other than a Prestige item.

Your festool and Knipex are exceptionally versatile tools with fine engineering, however I’m not very knowledgable of their entire product range, they offer little else than a well made price tag.

Firstly I’ve had to give the customer service 3 stars as I’ve never had to use them, I’ve got the 19oz framing hammer and I use it for my daily work as an electrician, it is a farming hammer but when I used a friends it felt so comfortable and perfectly weighted in the hand so I had to get one, I’ve been using it for a week or so now and so far it’s been outstanding compared to my trusty dewalt!

They have been around for a long time and haven’t changed much over the year as there’s no need too, great hammer with a nice balance and comfortable in the hand, you can use the hammer over a long duration and your arm won’t be hanging off ,
they can take any punishment , I have had mine for 6 years and still going strong
