Good quality and extensive range of decorating gear. Not the cheapest but most certainly not the most expensive either. Available through Johnstone’s decorating trade centres and often have promotions or special offers on products.

Fat hog make pretty good decorating products!
They may not be quite as good as products like Purdy etc. But they are quite good value for money! Higher quality than budget Do it yourself product’s.

A very middling brand, they are reasonably priced and fairly decent quality.
There are almost two levels of product, some can be great and others not so much. Brushes can shead constantly and roller holders fall apart.
And others are fantastic, roller trays are good quality and filling knives are good.

Never really thought about how good a brush was untill I used one of these brushes. They’re a pain to clean but that’s because there’s so much brush.

Really struggled with the brushes dropping bristles , if this can be resolved then I would recommend but obviously shows in the finish. Room for improvement

Fat hog are great i dont use my painting gear very much but its all ways top quality and never had a bad roll of fat hog sand paper. The all purpose filler has never gone wrong either

Purchased some of there brushes from leyland decorating centre. Found the brushes were rubbish. Hairs constantly falling out. Found the sash brushes fell apart.

I brought this brand thinking they would be good but when your painting the last thing you want is to pick bristles out of your paint work was not happy and had to go out and buy more brushes

I have only used the fathog sythetic brushes and found them a decent enough brush for the money. I do like their more advanced bib and brace. It is better made than the basic one and has more pockets. The pouch can be removed by the zip if required.

I bought a set of Fat Hog sash brushes and must say I was extremely disappointed in them I’d imagine if I’d continued using them there would have been no bristles left. I was having to pick the bristles off the surfaces I was painting. I’ve read on decorating forums some of the other brushes they make are half decent but I’d be reluctant to try them after my experience with the brushes I bought.

Have approached fat hog a few times about two roller poles I had purchased. I had explained the rivet on the screw section of the pole keeps breaking away to solve this problem was easy replace the rivet with a nut and bolt. Gave them both poles and never received any replacement or heard from them again.
