Have used flueshoe and found it really good to use. It helps hod the flue while cutting. Only thing I might suggest is the surface where you are cutting against might be metal to protect it but this could be how I am using it. Otherwise a great product.

For many years I've struggled when reducing the length of a flue unless you have a second pair of hands. With the flue shoe it's makes the job a whole lot easier and tidier job.

Got a flueshoe as I liked the idea, it’s Genuinely ok how ever it could be a little longer to help with cutting down longer flues, you can still use it but it a little Fiddly, if I’m honest it spends a lot of time sitting in the back of the van not doing to much

great idea, mine is starting to fall apart even though I rarely use it due to Worcester telescopic flues but when I do need it, it is great. I just need a battery angle grinder to make it a little easier. no longer worried about denting flue, now just concentrate on cutting flue rather then worrying about holding flue securely.

Picked this up at Installer 2017 used it quite a lot not just for boiler flues but also for 4” soil pipe, gives you a nice firm grip of whatever your cutting, purchase the deburring tool as well for extra ease. Fantastic little tool.

I bought my Flue shoe & although the price is a bit steep I soon found it an excellent bit of kit that makes the job of cutting the flue relatively easy & accurate
I wouldn’t be without it now , but for the price it should come with the de burring tool

Good bit of kit. Holds flue still and allows accurate cutting of both outer then inner flue.
Should come with the deburring piece for the price though.

Got one of these at a show and thought why not give it a go, to be honest I really like it and used it on every flue so far. If you do a few boilers a month then it's handy and worth the money. If mind broke I would buy another one

Purchased the flueshoe recently at installer live & it's a brilliant piece of kit. It makes cutting flues so much easier. I also purchased the deburring tool to help file down the sharp edges. Defiantly a tool need for the van

Handy to have on the van, makes cutting the flue easier as they can be tricky to keep still when cutting.

I believe these will be at PHEX this year & was thinking of getting one. How much are they please & are they worth it please????
Answered on 20th April 2017 by Robinson Heating
Think they go for about £70, tried it at installer live last year.
Good concept but don't see the point in it my self as I use a thin meat cutting disc on the angle grinder which does a quicker job and gives a neat cut.
Answered on 24th April 2017 by Drew Styles Plumbing & Heating
Massively worth it! Make cutting flues so much easier as everything is held nice and tight in place weather your using a hacksaw of grinder. You can get them from plumbpal.co.uk for around £80.

Meat cutting disc. Interesting, where do you get them from please so i can take a look with a view to purchase if cheaper, quicker & neater.....
Thanx

definitely worth it, they are around £60 if bought at phex. so much easier to turn while cutting then when on ground, plus very easy to measure and mark flue.
