Fluxuator

After seeing the videos on social media I bought the fluxuator, it’s ok and is a clever idea but I just feel better using a traditional flux brush as I just feel more confident I’ve put enough on

I had this given to me as a prize, it’s a great idea but the flux was absolutely shocking!! I found it didn’t work very so won’t be buying one in the future.

I loved the idea of this great little product but just never went back to it. I think its great for and airing cupboard or when you can take your time. Is good it keeps the flux and brushes clean. Worth a go!

I mean there a good idea the flux you get sent in the applicator is the best In my opinion if you change the flux out it will work better but find my self reaching for my tub of flux and a brush more times then these think there abit over rated hand brush you get with it though

Must admit I have used my apprentice fluxuator and it is great only issue is I do use the original flux and it is a cleaner application with the brush than this product

Tried it, not for me. Brush or solder does the perfect job. Can see why some people my like it. Just seems like a extra bit of kit to carry with no real benefits.

Had a shot of one and didn’t like it. Trying to solve a problem that isn’t there. A brush does the same job and they supply one with it as well. Not a tool for me.

Tried it, didn’t love it, the problem I found was this product is meant to replace the flux brush, only it last a little bit big so they supply you with a small brush to get into the tight spaces, the whole thing just doesn’t really work for me

As most I rushed out to pick up these when they came to market, but can’t remember the last time I used either. In fact I couldn’t even tell you where they are, which I think tells you all you need to know about these.
To sum it up, would I buy again, No. If I was offered them for free would I take them, probably not....

I bought the fluxator and gave it a good spell of time on jobs. At times it was a great life saver but the quality of the flux that comes with it isn’t great which caused some issues. I don’t miss not using it.

ideal bit of kit for those plumbers that normally load flux on pipes and never wipe. I have used on hard to access pipework prior to soldering rather than getting dust and debris all over my brush.

The Fluxuator has meant I love soldering again and have finally rid myself of the dirty flux brush and pot. Very clever design and inventor is very friendly chao

nice idea but really needs a brush for after, plus some caps for when not in use would be good. Also the shape isn't the easiest for storage, but definitely a great idea.

Wanted to try the product as I heard a lot about it.
To be honest it doesn’t work for me but I’m sure others find it great. Flux brush is fine for me.

Good little gadget to start with but quickly lost patience and went back to old ways, 2 small pots of laco flux, one kept clean with brush lid for applying, the other pot for cleaning up after burning.

Have been using products for a few months love the concept but agree that the brushes could be tighter around pipe
The flux is okay also even disturbing around pipe great that not to much over pipe believe that will be great tool as its progress

I have both 15+22mm versions, have used them once and now they sit in bottom of my tool bag, they are quite cumbersome and flux comes out on to brushes unevenly. The products solve a problem that doesn’t really exist

It’s a well made product the brissles could be closer for each version to grab the pipe a lot better and the flux isn’t as good as your other flux types but it does the job well and saves getting flux everywhere

It’s a great idea but I feel it’s not quite there yet. I don’t feel the bristles put enough flux around the pipe, and I don’t like the flux itself. Would be great if the good do an all in one model - 22mm and 15mm all with one tool. It’s a handy size and nice and easy to refill. Definitely a cleaner way of soldering and storing flux.
