We are the pioneers in dust-free solutions. For more than 15 years we have continuously developed dust-free concepts, products and we have set a new industry standard. Mirka has converted the sanding business from dry sanding to dust-free sanding, which saves time, money and the environment. Dust-free sanding has significantly improved health and safety aspects for our customers.
Dust-free properties are always taken into consideration also when it comes to developing new tools. Our electric tools are powerful, quiet and have low vibration levels. They are also the smallest and lightest on the market thanks to the use of brushless technology.

I’ve borrowed an orbital sander from a mate and am very impressed with it. Once get going with it stacked to a hoover it was very easy to use, dust was extracted very efficiently hardly any dust rejoining as there are so many holes in the base pad of the sanding disc it really is very well designed in that sense. Expensive tools but appear worth the money. Used to feather the edges of new plaster into older plaster as well as on woodwork. Excellent thus far after a few days use on different surfaces.

Absoulte beasts when it comes to sanding. Dustless sanding can be an expensive out lay but once you have it, you wonder how you lived without it .

As an avid spray painter in my spare time, I've been using mirka abrasives for years. Definitely the best by far, I especially like the abralon discs for wet sanding, as good as 3m trizact in my opinion.

The Mirkwood handy sander is brilliant when attached to a Henry hoover or dust extractor and doesn’t break the bank either, the abranet sand paper works a treat too and won’t clog up like normal sand paper.

Great sand paper doesn't rip doesn't clog and stays sharp for longer than any other sand paper I've used. Defently worth the extra money. I hear the electronic sanders are great as well.

Only used the sand paper so far but it has outlasted all of the Toolstation generic sheets on my 1/4 palm sander. Less clogging than cheaper paper but does tear quickly.

I have a few of these now and what a difference it makes in our company. Dustless is the way forward as not only saves you time but your not breathing in all the dust which means your customers are not also. keeps your workplace clean which is essential when your working with Paint. my only regret is I didn't do it sooner.

In the Decorating trade Mirka has been an absolute god send, dust free sanding is something I wish I’d done years ago. Not only for health reasons but the cleanliness on jobs is second to none. Gone are the days when you’ve finished sanding a room and the dust is everywhere. I’ve got the “Deros and Deos” sanders along with the Mirka extraction unit. They are fairly expensive to start with but very much worth it. Great customer service too when asking any questions. I’d certainly recommend The Mirka dust free sanding systems.

I’ve recently bought the roundy handy sander kit and find it invaluable, just wish the deros & extracor was more affordable or available to hire its too pricey for a sole trader just starting out but I definitely hope to invest in one soon.

I’ve been looking at the random orbital. It comes in at almost £400 and I’m struggling to justify that kind of cost. How good are they for a workshop setting?
Answered on 10th October 2020 by EC Creative Services
Hi
Simple answer.... by far the best I’ve ever used. We make a lot of bespoke stuff for the media industry (tv scenery mainly), and we purchased 3 of them about a year ago now. 1 is a spare the other 2 are in constant use. Plenty of power that can be controlled by way of the push button speed setting system.
Extraction wise they are amazing. The amount of extraction holes that are on the base pad provides so much suction when connected to a take off vac/extractor it’s untrue.
We have 2 belt sanders (for rough work), 2 half sheet Makita’s, 4 quarter sheets and 3 random electric orbitals. None of these have been used since we purchased the Mirka’s.
They are that good in my opinion. I literally shook the boss’s hand 1st time I used it. One of his best purchases for our workshop in the past few years.

Me again, is there a hire shop locally you could get one from for a couple of days to do a test run?
Might help make your mind up one way or the other.
Oh and get the right discs for them (plenty of extraction holes)
Cheers and good luck

They are supposed to be the best at protecting the operator from nerve damage due to the constant vibration, I have used most Saunders, some in the same price range, and you definitely notice that your hands are not so buzzing after use.

You will not regret buying one. Go into your local Dulux decorator center and ask to borrow a loan machine. Everyone I sold one to said the same about the price but came back later and said they can’t believe how good they are.
