Optimaxx
Optimaxx LTD originated in 2014 by Norman Shimwell, a previous sales director for a wood screw company for over 20 years that was known internationally before founding Optimaxx LTD. Norman noticed that while many of the existing woodscrews in the market were very good, not one brand ticked all the boxes with their products that many tradesmen and merchants would criticise. Therefore, Norman set about creating a new brand of woodscrew, taking all the best bits of the existing woodscrews in the market and adding additional features, thus creating Optimaxx: Extreme Performance Woodscrews.

Recently tried a box of optimax screws, impressed with them, no problem whatsoever, self cut into timbers and easily match the main brands like spas and riesser

Just used these screws for the first time straight out the box the look a very quality screw and in use they preformed very well went through 3 boxes of 80mm on a job and not one rounded out or snapped they self drilled pretty well through mdf boarding and countersunk fairly well for a reasonably priced screw they are surprisingly good and readily available I have got a trade pack now so will be going through all the sizes soon

Great screws, in a wide range of sizes and pack sizes. They drive in really well and pull in tight. They are slightly expensive for a screw. All said I would be happy to use

These screws are fantastic ! thought I would put them to the test after I decided to renew my fence. The screws have a great head that accepts new and worn driver bits which is a big plus for me as bits dont last long. The start points are great and not one split in a 40M run of feather edge, grooves on the back of the head let the screw cut and sit nicely without damaging the timber, the threads just bite and bite making the longer screws effortless. Tried my hardest to find a fault on these screws but really struggled to find one.

Absolutely FANTASTIC screws. They really made life easy putting a new bathroom floor down with the self piloting and cutting design. Would recommend them to anyone

I have tried out the optimax screws and I am very impressed. they bite into the wood with little pressure then grab and drive in to give a solid fixing. the screws seems very good and do not seem to split the timber either. defiantly be using optimaxx more in the future

Totaly brilliant wood screws, not sure on the price because i was sent a free dample. The screw heads are deep and reduce bounce out. Minimal to no splitting
