Powered Now

I moved over to powered now a little of a year ago now from expert trades , at first I found it very frustrating and hard to use and get used to from the expert trades one but now I'm finding it much better and they keep upgrading parts of the system for the better, the only thing I missed is linking my TPI Analyzer to system.

I have tried Powered Now before and like most software companies, they promised to develop their software with ideas from engineers like myself. However, I wasn't very patient so I moved to another software company that already had what I wanted. However, I happened to look at Powered Now only to find that they already had developed the site to include items that I was after. Have changed back and I am currently happy with the results

And it’s certainly lived up to its expectation. I’ve recommended it to family and friends. It’s enabled me to keep on top of my paperwork, allowed me to invoice and quote easily.

A brilliant app, I have been using PN for about 6 months, it began with just quotes and invoices. Now I use it from first client interaction right through to invoice payment tracking and sales. I particularly like the product catalogue function the diary which links with my phone calendar giving me reminders.

The app is brilliant, it’s clear and easy to use.
There is support given and the team follow up with phone calls which is great as you don’t often get that within companies

Find it a little difficult to use , nothing seems straight forward. Some basic functions can be quite long winded.
Certificates and forms are good but even on some of these you can’t enter numbers with a decimal point.
Overall a good product but it needs work to correct glitches.

I have transferred to Powered now at the suggestion of Expert Trades. The people at powered now have asked I review their product! So far I have been happy with the customer service and the transfer of my customers details was handled ok. There have been losses! If you are looking for the simple and easy to use interface of the Expert trades Office package, then I'm afraid you will soon discover this is not it. I haver not been able to use the Powered now package that well and in the first instance had to upgrade from business to professional. I was told this was necessary to overcome an issue I had with "mark up". Powered now do not allow you to input you labour rates separately to any products you are supplying, so you end up with a mark up on your labour too; not good. I was then advised if I pay twice as much as the business rate I would then have a product catalogue which would overcome this. So far I haven't been able to fathom how to set up or use a product catalogue. With the professional package comes a lot of bells and whistles a sole trader like me has little use for. I think maybe its great for a small company, but a sole trader who wants to manage general office forms its a very cumbersome platform with a lot of accounting orientated parts. Apparently it does connect with xero, but no other online accounting software, although I'm told that may happen in the future.
From the customer service I've been advised I can arrange training sessions for the platforms use. Yet when using the Expert trades office package I found it easy self explanatory and fit for purpose, without the need for taking time out to train.
So this is my review, to put a perspective on it I have only been accessing the platform for about a month. If by some miracle my viewpoint changes I will pop along and add a new review. But for now I hope this is of help to those others of you looking for an alternative to Expert trades excellent little office package.

Joined them today, was so easy to transition over and all information was instantly in the new app. I was offered a demo which I refused for now and had to get my head round a new app but easy enough. Would be so much easy going through the demo and training they offer. Very friendly staff there. Open honest and helpful. Will save time once set up fully and not bad value for money. Lots of features and even more being added I am told.

Great time saving app, it saves me time and money, I can work on the go and invoice when the job is finished so can be paid instantly.
The team are great always on hand to help.

Powered Now has revolutionised how I run my business, would highly recommend it. The process of getting set up was seamless and they couldn't be more helpful.

Great job management software, makes quoting and invoicing very simple. Helps organise my team, create certificates and also integrates with Xero.
