With so many newer properties having bonded chipboard floors, this is a excellent tool. Cuts neat holes with a clean rebate and the cover fits nice and neat. Gives a professional finish and saves a lot of time. As others have said the covers are very over priced but they do give a good end result.

Brilliant idea and product makes running cables under chipboard floors a lot easier and the caps fit perfectly saves time and money on jobs the 127mm one makes it easier for fishing wires etc a great product

Another piece of kit I wish I had got years ago. I have used it during a house refurbishment and having replaced all the floors with chipboard this meant I had an easy way of creating wiring access points. The recess caps are perfect and mean when fitted the floor is level with not lumps or dips. Easy to use and does the job very well. Have not tried on floorboards since would normally expect to take them up but can see this may be useful even there.

I bought these along with the square hole drill bit set for chasing out the back boxes etc all are quality products, my review is on the solid board cutters, at first I thought they were a bit of a waste of time but I’ve since changed my mind.

The easy to use cutter makes working under chipboard floors a lot easier no more squeaky floors after you’ve had to cut half the floor up to get a new wire in.

I use the cutter along with cable rods so do easy to carry out installing extra sock outlets with this

Got me out of a pickle so many times with new build homes and cabre deck flooring. Last house had to cut 15 holes for access front to back to install cctv. Used it on my makita SDS and was a breeze! The plug that fits in leaves the floor safe and secure after!

Fantastic concept, compared to a standard hole cutter and the fuss of refixing the cutout with batten. But the caps are very pricey unless you buy in bulk. Probably more useful and cost effective if you are doing a very lot of hole cutting in a pre-laid solid floor.

Such a good timesaving idea, works perfectly and haves a lot of hassle. Just wish the inserts were cheaper to buy

Wicked for chip board floors When they are a nightmare to get up with the tongue and groove. Good neat holes and you don’t get and sounds from the plates.

Far more professional (and easy) than pulling up whole board for electrical access. Quick and easy, makes my life easy!

Used this kit on few project and I need to say its worth the money. Save me a lot of hassle as the blanks/covers are available and are easy to fit. Definitely a good add on to any electician who value customers and time

Used about 15 times now and blade is still good. Blanks fit really well and saves loads of time trying to brace with wood.

A very good kit. Not used very often but a lifesaver when you do. Great for those chipboard floors. Good value for money

Just what you need for all soiled boards quick and easy to use nice finish on the plugs it’s a must have for Electrical and plumbing . I use a Sds to cut the holes has I have found that it works the best

Brilliant piece of kit used many times on rewires just drill a couple of holes in chipboard flooring pull cables through and then fit the cover plates bish bash bosh

Great bit of kit for when you need to cut a trap to feed cables under a solid chipboard sheet floor. The cutter leaves a rebate then the plugs simply push in flush. The plugs are a little expensive for what they are but am sure the time saved hunting round for scraps of wood to repair the floor traditionally offset the cost.
