Bahco Ratchet Screwdriver Set, 6 Piece PH

I bought a set of bahco VDE screwdrivers mainly because I was sick of the lads pinching my Whia ones and because these are different coloured to most brands I could easily find who had got them, to be fair though they do seem to be a lot better quality and easier to use

The Bahco set is ok, does everything it should do, it’s not as expensive as some of the others. but I would say there is better options on the market.

It is a great set of screwdrivers to have in a small tool bag. Having every standard size that is needed in one small and easy to use tool makes the jobs faster.

Mixed thoughts about this product, whilst i thought it would be beneficial I have gonr back to using my alternative vde drivers as for me the interchanging is not time saving just a gimmic. However, having said that 1 of the lads has a set and he loves them.

I found them ok but not long lasting like other brands. But as far as vde screwdrivers go they are quite good. The ratchet mechanism handle is very comfortable to use and gives you a firm grip which is useful for opening stubborn screws

I have got a set of these screwdrivers and also have a set of the normal screwdrivers. I got these as I thought it would be easier to have 6 screwdrivers at hand all the time but found them difficult to use as they come with a very large handle. So these are now my back up set

I won these in an Expert Trades competition so I'm not sure how much they cost. They are an awesome bit of kit. The handle contains a ratchet and a release button so bits don't fall out. Very impressed!

Brilliant screwdriver so easy to use and takes a lot of repetitive strain off your wrist with rachet action.

Hi guys I'm Mike, I'm just doing a review for Expert Trades on this Bahco screwdriver kit. It's a VDE rated set, comes in this nice nylon pouch, nice big chunky belt loop as well, so you can fit it on the work belt nice. What's really nice about this it's loaded well, so if it is on your belt you can just pull the bits out you want and bang them in your screwdriver, no problem. What I found really unusual for this VDE screwdriver is it's actually got a ratchet, which I've never seen before in a VDE screwdriver I've got a different couple of kits and I've never had one with a ratchet in it.
Nice and simple just loads, as you've seen, twist for your ratchet, just like any other ratchet screwdriver. But it is a nice fine toothed mechanism in it as well, like literally just such a small turn til the ratchet starts. And then all the bits are this nice slim line design, so you can get in nice and deep and not damage any insulation up there. To release a bit, you just push this big yellow button on the back and it comes out, then put them back in the pouch, no problem.
All in all, not a bad piece and kit, I've been using it for about a week and a half, two weeks. But the only downside for me is, it doesn't come with a PZ slotted, which is what I've got anyway one of these ones, used for these little circuit breakers. You can get away with using a pozi you can get away with using a flathead but I just prefer using these I think you get less comate, you can get them a bit tighter with them.
I did look for extra bits, and extra bits for this are £16 for one or £20 for two was the best prices I could find, for £20 I can get a set of six of these. So it's a bit being realistic, do I want two bits for this, or do I want six of these? And then on the other hand, this is £60-£70, cheaper than that I can get this Wiha kit that comes with 16 bits and two handles, and bits for this are around £5.95 each I could find them for the cheapest.
So again, value for money-wise, I don't think so. The other ratchet is nice but overall I don't think it's worth the extra money for the ratchet and less bits. That's just my opinion though guys, you guys might love it, I'm not particularly keen on it, but thanks anyway guys, see ya!
