Review for Calcium, Limescale & Rust Remover by J W Heating & Plumbing Solutions Limited
3rd October 2024
I used the SCRUBB Calcium Lime Scale and Rust Remover recently on a job where the customer had badly lime-scaled taps and basin in an Airbnb. The taps had been leaking for a while, and the lime scale had built up around them. The customer was worried she might need a new basin as well as taps.
After reading the instructions (really straightforward), I decided to use the product neat, without diluting it. We applied it and were supposed to wait 10 minutes, but we checked back after just a couple of minutes, and the lime scale was already nearly gone! The customer had tried other supermarket products before with no success, but this SCRUBB remover did the job in no time.
A quick go with a non-abrasive scourer and the lime scale was completely gone. The customer no longer needs a new basin—just some new taps. I’m really impressed with how effective this product is. Highly recommend it for any lime scale issues!

Hello, I'm Justin from J W Heating and Plumbing Solutions Today we'll be trying the SCRUBB Calcium Lime Scale and Rust Remover. A unusual job for us today in that we've been asked to come to this Airbnb. The customer wants some new taps have been leaking. And if you can see, they've left a large amount of lime scale deposits in the actual basin. Customer wants to know whether she needs a new set of taps or a basin as well.
So we're just going to read the instructions. Quite simple. Most applications, you dilute the product. For this application, we're going to use it neat. We are just going to apply the neat solution. It's got a recommended contact time of 10 minutes. What we're going to do is we're going to pop back in 10 minutes, give it a go with a non-abrasive scourer, just see if we can see if we can get that off.
Right. We are back after just a couple of minutes, not the recommended 10. And if you have a look, the stain's all but vanished, which is why we haven't waited a required 10 minutes. Customer previously had a go at this with a couple of other lime scale removers that you buy in a supermarket. We're just going to agitate that slightly. As you can see, it's completely removed the lime scale, so it's a great product in my eyes. And the customer no longer needs to worry about buying a new basin. Just a new set of taps. Thanks for watching.
