Shatter proof, a little buzz word that gives the impression these are considerable more durable than they actually are. They will not survive a 5 minute trip down the road in the van without splitting or cracking.

Got one of these to keep the kids toys tidy. Seems very sturdy and can hold quite a few toys. I'd imagine it would be quite sturdy in the back of the van too as it seems like it can take being knocked around a bit.
