Decent driver,still works perfect after a few years and I've abused it, even used it with the adapter and undone 24mm bolts on pipework works well

Great tool. Use it everyday not for serious extreme use but it does get used all the time & is perfect. Build quality is exceptional & very good price - not quite as powerful as Milwaukee but very close.

I have always used Dewalt power tools. I have over 20 power tools. My work requires my tools are reliable and do the job time and time again.
If I have one criticism of the Dewalt power tool range is that they need to bring out a multi charge pack. Like what Milwaukee have.

This is more towards the top end of the range of dewalt impact drivers. It has a decent amount of power and does what is asked of it. I still think the Makita feels better in the hand though

Bought one of these to go with a wide range of dewalt mid level tools I have and it works really well especially when paired with a decent battery it works best with 4ah or 5ah batteries any lower and it does not perform to the best of its abilities

Great but of kit. you know what your getting with dewalt but Ive had a number of other brands over the years but this is the best of the bunch. Great value and great quality.

Amazing piece of kit , 3 speeds make a different when you want to control what you are doing , I am a passenger lift service engineer, no problems taking any bolts or screws out , must have recommended to everyone

Brilliant bit of kit dewalt I think have overtaken the other brands for top quality site standard tools the power and impact strength of this driver are spot on.

Love it, been using for several years now paired with their combi drill and it’s bullet proof, just does what I ask of it. 5AH battery lasts ages, having a spare on charge means I’ve never had a situation where I’ve run out of power.

Great impact would recommend especially if already invested in dewalt. A year of constant use and it’s still as good as the day i bought it.

Best drill on the market at the minute for the cost of it, its strong, powerful and very good. I use mine every day and have done for 2 and half years now, great piece of kit and would recommend dewalt to everyone now, im not going to change brands at all, black and yellow for me everyday.

Used these on site for a while and the power is great. Tough and rugged as you would expect from dewalt although some of the impact drivers started to get loose after loads of abuse. Makita build slightly better but generally dewalt more powerful.

Would definitely recommend this product, for the price this is the best value. I use a 4ah battery which easily lasts two or three days work.

Bought this product as a bare unit, I used it most days installing boilers.

Good sturdy build, good and fast drive for screwing, good light which I like that stays on after you realease the trigger so you can see your screw

This is quite simply the best impact driver on the market in this price range, it does everything you need and impact driver for. I don't use the driver everyday or for long periods, I could imagine the weight may become an issue over long periods, but it works for me!

I love impact drivers especially this brand. Very nice and compact, and with modes you can control the level of power depending on the job. I usually use this before the combi, but you will not be disappointed.

Excellent quality tool as you expect from DeWalt. The 3 modes are brilliant with a bright led light to illuminate the work area. The lowest setting is great for setting screws flush and the magnetic strip on the side is good for storing screws or a spare bit.

This was the first Impact driver I bought when I became an Electrician. This has served me well now for over 3 years and has been through a lot of jobs. Paired with 2AH battery it is very light and compact and will easily get you through small jobs. With 5AH batteries I will last for quite a long long time drilling joist with proper accessories. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant bit of kit , as a few other reviews have said the battery in the kit isn’t good enough for trades but is perfect for odd jobs , I’ve paired it with a 9ah battery and it’s a beast

Amazing peace of kit lightweight and good power. I would recommend this to anyone. Only thing is when buy it in the kit the battery it come would is good for small fixing but definitely need to purchase a bigger battery for any larger fixing in hard wood

I recently bought one of these to replace my Stanley Fatmax impact driver. I purchased the DeWalt because I have a big collection of 18v XR tools now and it made sense to stay on the same battery platform. As always DeWalt didn’t let me down. You’ve got great control over different speed settings. The torque is unbelievable for such a small tool. The moulding and ergonomics of this tool is fantastic. I love it and would highly recommend one if you’re looking to purchase or replaced an impact driver.

Fantastic bit of kit don't go anywhere without it take it on every single job regard less if you get a dewalt torq screw kit it's great as it comes with a magnetic attachment which is great for when screwing plaster boards it stops just enough to hold the board with minimal filling.

Proper good bit of kit. Really good impact driver from dewalt, has adjustable speed to fit your need, very comfortable in hand. Can drive pretty much and screw into anything with ease. Has 3 small bright lights situated on the face to light up the are your screwing into. Just an all round well worth tool to own, would definitely recommend.

Used this impact quite a few times now and its great it has tons of torque and power and its just a brilliant piece of kit especially when paired with a 4ah battery

Great little machine with lots of torque! Thought the first setting was a waste of time until I had to screw into a softer material then it came into its own. The light is good in cabinets and dark areas and compact/tight where this machine fits unlike some other makes.

Got this with a kit, what a beauty, recommend this 100%, I even use flat wood drill bits, which you can use in there as they are impact rated and what a beauty, gets the job done quicker. DeWalt the best

Excellent kit I use flat woodbits and masonary bits in this , with the flat woodbits it stops the snag that you get with a drill. Had this one for 6yrs still going strong it is used everyday.

Great buy, got on offer at xmas from screwfix! Brilliant price and i would definitely recommended as makes building a shed so much easier!! Went into the timbers with ease and deeply. I woukd recommended to all diyers

I love how light it is even with a 5ah battery on it, the 3 speeds are good however I only tend to use fast and slow. This has had had no trouble removing the toughest screws from an old barn and installed new ones without any stripped heads, this is an amazing tool, wish I had bought one years ago instead of trying to use drills!

As a electrical engineer I go through a lot of tools, impact guns was one a broke a lot of.
Until I found dewalts impact guns, I have four now and will probably get more. They just keep working. Would recommend to everyone

This is a very good piece of kits used by me every day the only thing I can say bad about it is the bit holder has gone wrong on my last 2 of these it wont hold the bit in any more maybe the ball bearing that holds the adapter and bit in has come loose fallen out

Bought on a special and have been using to build some stables. Good quality and very light, made light work of the 6" framing screws used on the 4"x2".

Great bit of kit with lots of power behind it. I have the smaller 10v for lighter work and still has plenty of power behind it. Definitely a must have tool

Great bit of kit not sure it will be a real long term tool I get the feeling it’s only going to last a year or 2 but for the doe it’s well worth it loads of power and sits great in the hand seems to last a good time on the 5ah batteries and not really heavy well worth the the doe

Just stared using this impact driver over the last couple of weeks and I must say I love. Plus points it’s smaller than the last one I had, different make but that doesn’t take away the power this little tool has it gone to work on screws and small bolts without any problems. I’ve used it everyday for the past 2 weeks no problems at all.

Cracking piece of kit, sends everything home that’s needed and sinks the screw head with ease. Robust and with the 5ah battery it lasts all day.

Probably the most used tool in my kit. Handy work light for working in dark areas, A nice size, feels really solid and robust. I always use with 4ah batteries, great power but worth mentioning when adding bigger batteries the unit become a little more bulky and hevaier.

Great bit of kit, I’ve dropped it from many heights and it’ still carry’s on. Put it through some serious out door work last week and it wasn’t bothered about been wet. Highly recommend

Recently bought a impact driver and cordless drill set at a bargain £160 it also came in a thought system 2.0 tstack case what alone cost £30.

At the price the drill is clearly bot a top end drill but have had no problem drilling into stone using it so really can’t complain as for the impact driver you wouldn’t even know it was from the budget line. The power is out of this world. So much so that I used the wrong sized raw plug and it actually broke the head of the screw clean off. Impressed

Great tool from DeWalt always using it now with a great price point if you are buying the bare tool some places offering half price in sales.

This is one tool I can’t see me ever not owning, it’s been used more than any other tool I own, it’s been battered pushed all day, just doesn’t let me down, I don’t know how many times I’ve dropped it from height, battery lasts a long time and it has more than enough.

I have both the drill and impact driver. This driver is so handy and very powerful. Great quick change bit making life simple. Battery life lasts all day and charging is quick. You even have a light display to advise what stage your batteries are in.

Great tool with lots of power. Had mine for 3-4 years and still going strong with daily use. Competed with a colleagues Makita and it won. The majority of my tools are now de’walt which started with this and a drill set.

I’ve got two of these. One is over 4 years old and get daily use. Very capable of driving long screws at high torque. As others have said will get hit with sustained use but doesn’t seem to done it any harm. Also useful with square drive bit as a light duty impact wrench for nuts. I wouldn’t recommend it for that use all the time but really handy if you’ve a lot of coach bolts to spin nuts on for instance. LED workpiece lights work well.

as most of my kit is dewalt now this is my choice of impacter and i find it lives up to the task even tho cant compare with many others. it always manages the task/ tasks to hand usually with ease

The best impact driver I have ever had ! The power this driver kicks out is amazing, one 5.0Ah battery last all day driving self drilling screws into steel girders. Never been stuck although I have snapped many screws and bits. Well balanced unit and good grip means it can be used all day long without operator fatigue !

Handy tool for those places where electric connections not available, light enough to use all day with a fully charged battery, fits a number of universal bits, some with adapter

Had dewalt for years and have never really let me down. Great powerful impact driver. Would highly recommend. A wee bit noisy tho. But mine is an older model

Dewalt have come a long way, there tools are as good if not better now than the leading brands. The torque is powerful and batteries last! Would defo recommend due to the price in comparison to top competitors

Nice little unit to use for repetitive drilling or when you need a combi drill and fixings too. Build quality feels robust like the other Dewalt tools I have. Cost wise I managed to pick this unit up for £50 from screwfix in the sales. Only negative is it doesn't come with a magnetic strip for the side of the impact driver or a belt clip like the combi drill or hammer drill.

I’ve had mine for years now it’s never let me down even after dropping it a few time the battery life is great and the drill has plenty of torque

Love this impact driver, had a few now over the years, the latest I have is the 3 speed version, handy to be able to slow it down when needed. Good, compact size, handy belt clip included on 1 side and a magnetic bit holder on the other. Pair it up with a 5ah battery and you're covered all day

Seems pretty proof.
Done a fair amount with it and it keeps going. Happily drive 300mm decking helical metal through sleepers, loosen wheel bolts and the variable power switch means you can use it on more delicate applications.
Great light with it too.

Having started my dewalt collection with a combi drill, I then added this impact driver. Nice and comfortable in the hand and makes light work of screwing/unscrewing screws of all sizes, saves me loads of times every day. Came with 2x 5.0Ah batteries which last for ages, and all for £179 from Toolstation. Recommended!

Small light and easy to you if you're a Dewalt person this is essential for you as an impact is essential for pretty much everything only thing id improve is id make the front longer as its not well balanced

Great drill , good power , easy to use , good battery life and the torque of the drill is good. Would recommended with the combi drill. I've got the twin pack and its all you need.

Just got one of these as a twin pack with 3 x 5amp/hr batteries all for £299 from Toolstation. I have used now for a couple of weeks and am completely blown away with the quality, power, and controllability. I have had Dewalt before so do not anticipate any issues with longevity. Had my impact now for over five years and it’s still brilliant. It gets used everyday so it has certainly has had the use out of it and it’s never let me down. With a 5.0A battery in this can go for a long time without charge.

As a new comer to the trades, I wanted something a bit more robust for an impact driver than my other “DIY” one I used to have. I got the kit that toolstation had with the impact, combi and 3x5ah batts. What a kit. I used the impact driver to remove a gate hinge and clasp abs it was not an issue for it. I love the leds on it and the 3 power settings. Never had that on my other impact tool.

It feels nicely weighted and ergonomical. Time will tell how robust it is but I’m building a fence and workshop soon and this will test the tool.

This driver is a beast, it will driver through extremely thick timber. The battery lasts too. Has the three lights to light the way. Extremely comfortable to use.

Would recommend getting this, I got in a dual pack with a drill. Great value

Power. Plenty of gusto. 3 speed settings. LED light for working convenience. I still have the brushed version that I use for smaller jobs around the work shop. My main go to driver is this beauty though.

If you are struggling with a drill getting through a large timber, put a Dewalt spade bit in this and it’ll punch it through for you.

Great piece of kit and definitely needed on site. Would highly recommend the 3 speed as it works really well for when your screwing back brittle materials such as bakerlite back boxes.

I have just recently purchased this and I’m very impressed with it ,my last one did not have the 3 speed selection. and it comes in very handy when you’re not wanting to piledriver a screw in something and only want to tighten it a little

Had about 2 years now never failed me and 3 bright led’s so always see what you’re doing. more than enough power to do any task you ask of it, very comfy for all day use and will last all day being brushless too, can’t fault this so I bought another one of them too

Does everything I ask of it. It has plenty of power and drives at a decent pace. First speed is a waste of time and my only other criticism would be battery fitting is not tight enough.

Great driver, has never failed me and is probably the most used tool in my kit. It will happily drive in coach bolts, long screws into oak framing. Almost always on speed 3, way faster than its predecessor. The only downside is the lowest speed and its gentle drive is a waste of time and never gets used. Much quicker to just go easy on the trigger on a higher speed.

Hi Bought this a while ago and I use it pretty much every day. It's cheap to buy and it's go so much power behind it. I can't recommend it enough.

Brilliant bit of kit, I use it at work and at home from lifting floors to building furniture, Sinking and removing screws is effortless, this was a great help recently on a big motor and fan change, saved a lot of time and effort!

I owned the predecessor to this for a good few years until it died. i was very happy with it and was going to buy the same again, until i saw this. i purchased it about 6 months ago and it is great, it has more power than the last and i really like the variable trigger. im not sure if there is a point to the different speed settings as the variable trigger does the same job. but if your trigger happy and just want to point and fire then i guess it would suit you. very happy, comfortable deign, sturdy and lightweight.

Man this impact driver is good! it's powerful for everything I've thrown at it, wood screws, wall anchors, seized car bolts, you name it, it's done it. Probably my most abused tool, it's been dropped probably 3 times from the top of scaffolds now too and just keeps going, it's the tool equivalent to an old Nokia phone!!

I’ve had two of these impact drivers. The first was taken out of the back of my van among other things by some thief! It was this impact that I missed the most. You never realise how much you use a single tool until it’s gone. It truly is a great impact driver and the screwdriver setting really does help when you don’t need full power. Now it never leaves my side, it’s here with me now as I type this.

Knocks spots off other brands use to be a Makita guy until I used a Dewalt one day build quality and batteries are miles in-front if it’s competitors will not use any other power tools than Dewalt the impact gun is spot on the same as all they’re other tools.

I find this a great tool for everyday use. Enough power for a 32mm steel bit no problem and very decent battery. I find 2 batteries last me all week.

Great tool I have had a few other make impact drivers but Dewalt is far superior, light weight powerful and good ergonomic design, value for money compared to other makes on the market

Best impact driver I've had, power can be turned down for smaller jobs, and up for awkward ones where more power is needed. Great battery life, feels well built and a great weight, powerful lights on the front mean you can easily see what you are doing in all conditions.

Have always liked DeWalt products. They represent excellent value for money. Good and reliable and this impact driver has good torque. Its compact. You wont go wrong if you are looking for an impact driver then this is really good all-round.

Definitely one of the best impact drivers I've used. Battery life is good even when screwing into dense materials or using longer screws. No issues with build quality or design.
They can use a wide range of Dewalt batteries. Definitely value for money.
The LED light is great if you're working in a cupboard or other dark place.
All of my tools are Dewalt and I might be biased but this is definitely the impact driver to buy if you're in the market for one

This has to be the best impact gun i have every had or even used. Very powerful with the option to change the speed. the 3 led light are positioned brilliantly lighting the screw head well. better than having the light at the bottom shining up.

The tool that has the most use out of any other in our cordless kits. Amazing build quality and reliability. Battery life on the drill is also very good.
