DEWALT DCR020 DAB Digital Radio 240V & Li-ion Bare Unit

Bought this today, great value for money and good sound fairly compact compared to others got the 240v one but don’t seem to be able to charge batteries but not a big issue.

Great compact radio with impressive sound for its size. Could do with incorporating Bluetooth somehow. My only problem is with how easy It breaks and my volume control no longer functions so Im stuck with it quite load

Brilliant radio and the charger element is great. Dewalt is just that cut above this excellent product

Well worth it

Decent radio. Solid body on it. Compact size so does not in the way or take up space in van. But the Signal strength is great on it tho (in my areas). As i find when working indoors with it the signal can be a nightmare to try and get then when you get it to find it (after moving it around for 10 minutes) you then walk passed it or are working near it the then signal drops out. Also found that when playing through digital the sound just stops (roughly 30 seconds) then comes back. But does seem to work alot better if its outdoors. Does not use alot of batteries power either to run it.

Very decent radio for the money.
Lasts for a very long time on a 5ah and a good volume also.
Great reception but can get a little spotty around chargers but most dab will.
Handy having the 240 connection as well as the battery.

This thing is ridiculous, its so well built, its light small and compact everything uou need from a radio, never had issues finding stations at all just rock up and away you go hight recommeded.

Good little radio, lightweight and small, good choice of stations via dab, takes a while to skip through stations but that’s signal depending at times, only downside is the battery is easily popped out if knocked which is it’s only downfall

Good basic radio. Sound isn’t the greatest compared to others but still does the job. Would be better if you could charge batteries from it

As an entry level site radio, it is what it is and does the job, ideal for smaller or indoor working environments. Certainly lacks the functionality (like battery charging) and sound quality of its big brothers the toughsystem and tstak radios. I personally upgraded to the now discontinued DCR017.

If you have the money and the Dewalt toolboxes its certainly worth opting for one of its brothers for better sound, transportation and storage.

For a site radio it didn’t last very long, the controls went fault within a year and I had to take it back, within another 6 months the same problem came back. So wouldn’t buy one again.

Love the this radio, Best on the market for the price by far! Had for 5 years now and comes out of the van almost everyday! It has everything that the £180 dewalt t-stak radio has except for the battery charging when plugged into mains. An 18v 3ah will keep this going for a solid 4 days work!

My work colleague has got this radio and it’s a great sturdy, compact bit of kit and is surprisingly load for the size of the radio. The sound travels across the job site and doesn’t get distorted the further away you are

Great radio. It’s the first thing out of the van when we get to a job. Great on DAB and FM. Excellent value for money. Compact and works on either mains or Dewalt batteries

This radio comes out on each job as it’s such good quality and has aux input. The DAB+ works absolutely everywhere even when we don’t have phone signal etc. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a top quality radio.

Lovely radio. Ever better now it has DAB, good and strong with the roll cage, quality of sound it good to, depending on which model you get, can be handy for charging batteries or phone.

This goes everywhere with me, its perfectly sized for my van , i can charge my phone, sound quality is good, its perfect for me. Its also robust with a roll cage

Wouldnt say this is worth the money tbh really wish I'd of splashed out abit more and got the makita dab radio it just seems too cheap for what you pay

Iv had this radio for the past 4 years it goes everywhere with me when I’m working it’s very light the sound quality it pretty good for the size of it it has the option for aux and charging of the phone I would recommend this it’s to any one the price is very good compare to its counterpart.

a must have for any job. plug in or battery so it will work anywhere. has digital so you can listen to all your favourite radio station with great quality.

Great features and the sound quality is excellent, also with a USB cable you are able to charge your phone or tablet. Highly recommended....

Unbelievable sound quality for such a little radio, really like the aux input and the ability to charge my phone via the inbuilt usb. Seem to last a very long time on just one 4amp battery

lovely little radio has a usb port which you can charge your phone and lock it away from its light and well built never had a problem with the dab radio has it own pug and battery at a great price

Fantastic Radio for the size and the price. Sound is great and the FM and DAB Quality is bang on. Only thing is don't have a charger plugged in nearby as I find it interferes with DAB Signal. Its small compact and loud what more do you want

A must have for any trades person. Small, compact and sounds great. DAB on this is fantastic. Has an areal but mine works with out the areal up. Has a usb and a aux plug so you can charge your phone and or play music from your phone through the radio

Good radio volume and DAB stations but struggles with interference when on a busy worksite or area. No Bluetooth and the aux connection isn’t reliable. Tough radio and will take a bashing, can be used on a plug as well as the dewalt batteries. Overall not bad but would consider something else for the price.

Good little radio, tough and well made with great reception and sound. Looked at other dearer models but to be honest they all looked a bit flimsy compared to this and I'd garunteed break it. The only one thing that it could do with is Bluetooth connection to phones etc for downloaded music, you need a cable instead which is OK but I just don't like leaving my phone out and plugged into it incase it gets damaged. That said it's a top little radio and well worth the money.

If only I had bought one of these rather than messing about wasting money on a good number of other brands thinking (and hoping!!) that they were going to do the job. As always, you get what you pay for!!!! Don't hesitate because as most tradies know, DeWalt will always deliver......

Recently got this and must say its the best work radio i have ever owned. i was going to buy the festool one but thought i would try this and it does not let me down. Very good sound which is great for an empty site. Love the fact i can connect my phone to it. DAB is great loads of stations and build quality is great.

great little radio, works brilliantly, DAB is good, only little issue is 4ah battery only lasts 1.5 days which doesn't seem long to me. Especially as no 240v option so battery has to be charged daily.

There are tons of radios available for use on site so took me a while to decide. Got this as it was such a good price but was impressed by how well it performed

Decent radio.ive had a few issues woth the dab meaning a re tune in certain locations but other than that it's decent. Only thing missing is Bluetooth but I've seen these attachments available at my local dewalt store

Very good sound quality and not a bad price what I paid for it! Had my one for 8 months now and can't fault it to be fair. All you need In A radio.

Not bad they battery had to send back to get a new one but they do there job but I do like the maketa one more

Had mine for just over a year. After a couple of months it wont turn off properly unless its unplugged, otherwise a good radio. Sound could be better but enough for what i need

This radio is perfect that kicks out a good sound. DAB is a fantastic add on and also a little hideaway for your mobile if you want to use the Aux feature

A great site radio, very robust and well built. Having the USB port means you can also charge other devices when needed. DAB is a godsend as well

It is a great unit, I have had the older model which was ok, but this version compact, great to have the USB to charge things, and the aux port as well. Well worth the money.

This is the first site radio I have bought because I could not let myself pay over £100 for a radio but this is the best choice I have ever made when I decided to buy this. Its loud, clear and robust

Love this little bit of kit. Good sound quality and decent volume selection. I like that i can plug my phone in when i fancy a playlist do wish it was blue tho. Its very easy to use for srlevting my favorite stations. A good all rounder.

Fantastic little radio! Great sound, Only down side is it has to be plugged in to charge phone from usb. Nice and compact too, shame theres nowhere to store the plug when in tranport as lead always unravels.

To be honest not the best radio sometimes it randomly turns it self off.
Very easy to lose DAB radio for no reason can’t find the phantom usb insert that’s advertised

Love Dewalt power tools, but the radio is poor it easily looses signal and display can only be seen on a certain angle. The sound is very tiny. Very robust but the basics should be alot better for the cost of the unit.

Brilliant radio good tone good looks extremely strong and durable I use it on building sites so takes a good old pounding highly recommended.

would buy this radio for outside use is robust and great looking has dab radio also has usb port for recharging lovely design well worth the money

Ive had 3 of these radios so far and the first 2 broke through 2 different faults. The sound quality isn't the best when you compare it Makitas radio. I like the size of it as it fits nicely in the van but again I'm left wondering when this one will break. Surprised as all my other Dewalt kit has been reliable.

I bought my Dewalt radio a couple of years ago and it still works pretty well, picks up dab and fm stations really well
Good points are it's nice and compact, plenty loud enough for me, lasts a while when running from battery and the aux in is handy.
Bad points are there's nowhere to store the plug when it's not in use so constantly unravels not a big problem but irritating. The aux in doesn't seem to work very well on my newest iPod (it's very quiet no matter what the volume is set at) but an older iPod works fine. The last issue I have is the on/off button doesn't seem to turn it off anymore and hasn't done for a while, it just makes it go really quiet

Bought this to replace my Makita radio and find it better, due to being smaller and easier to store in the van. The plug is a lot better than the makita one a lot stronger. Another reason I bought this radio is I can use my dewalt batteries to power it when I’ve not got power.

Great stereo perfectly powerful enough for us a couple of faults that would make it a better product if it charged the batteries when plugged in to the mains also when running on battery only USB does not work so can charge your phone.

Great little radio with big sound, doesn’t take up half your van like the old desalt and other brands. Great to have the tuck away section for your phone/iPod only thing I would say is a plug holder would be great as it just unravels itself in the van.

Good radio only problem is the plug, no where to store it without it undoing, big dewalt fan. Auto search is good and battery last for long time

There is what seems like a common fault with the standby button starting to mute instead of turn off but for what it is a compact site radio it’s not too bad only thing other than that is not really a tick away for the mains wire

Brilliant radio for the price picks up loads of dab stations sound quality is great could benefit from a plug holder

Dropped mine down 2 flights of stairs..... Barely a scratch. Picks up loads of DAB stations. Nice that it can run off your drill battery if site power is down

Great all round radio, good signal strength even in rural areas,tough build which comes in handy as they take some stick and loud for noisey sites.

Good radio. Cheap to buy compared to other radios. Brilliant signal coverage and huge volume. Very robust and highly recommend

A great little radio. It does what it suppose to do and sounds great. The only downside is it doesn't charge batteries. It lasts all day on a single battery if no mains available. Keeps signal which is good unlike some DAB radios

For the price you can't go wrong, great sound quality and a good range of features, as previously said the it doesn't drain batteries either

Good solid radio, good sound and easy to use.
Works well as a speaker when using the Bluetooth adapter.
Only issue we've had is with the on/off switch.
After a few months the radio wouldn't turn off. This happened on all 3 of the radios we have. All were repaired under warranty, but 2 of the 3 have broken again. It doesn't cause a problem with the use of the radio. Just got to remember to remove the battery at the end of the day.

Great radio, very robust - auto search is great and the USB port ensures I can choose the music I like whilst on site. Doesn't use a lot of battery either

Great little radio to have excellent sound and totally robust have dropped it a few times and still going strong great that any dewalt battery can fit in it

Have had a few issues getting DAB signal but depends on area. Also stopped working and was returned for warrants repair. Good sound and robust.

I get signal anywhere with this radio. keeps the boys singing on site. nice and loud and crystal clear

Great sound for size of radio, brilliant compact design with hidden cubby hole to hide your iPod to play through radio great DAB reception,

Doesn't drain your battery so you don't have to have it always plugged into mains. Very robust has been dropped/ kicked from roof heights many times and still alive to play another song.

Great little radio nice and loud takes a few bumps when falling out of the van.
