Review for DEWALT DCS727 XR FlexVolt Slide Mitre Saw, 250mm by EC Creative Services

This mitre saw is a beast.
I did not get the 305mm blade version because we do not use timbers that big at work. The biggest we use is 200mm by 50mm and this goes through like a hot knife butter.
Even wet/damp timber gets cut with ease. The power from the flexvolt batteries is fantastic. It is like using a corded machine.
The portability of this saw, combined with the Dewalt DE7023 saw stand it can go anywhere with ease and no fuss.
For the size of it, the saw is not that heavy. I have the BOSCH GCM8SJL Single Bevel Sliding Mitre Saw, that only cuts 216mm and is 110v. It is lighter than the Dewalt, but has nowhere near the power.
The depth stop on the saw is a great feature when rebating and grooving materials. For half lap joints, housing slots in timbers and anything else you need to trench or cut it is a great tool.
There is positive lock points on the angle finder. One side goes upto 60 degrees.
There are two sliding fences, one on each side that support all the materials you are cutting.
It is great. Tough. Powerful and as light as it can be for ease of moving around your site or in the workshop if you want it for there.
