Fernox Magnetic Scale Reducer
The Fernox in-line Magnetic Scale Reducer range is suited to single appliance protection and is most notably used to protect the boiler against the damaging effects of scale. It is easily connected onto 15mm or 22mm pipework and requires no further maintenance.

Very easy to install, fit and forget type of product.
Come somewhat recommended yet unsure of how effective they are.
It’s an overtime results based thing rather than seeing any instant improvement.

These are very easy to install and seems good quality not sure if they work as well as water softeners but they are a hell of a lot cheaper and must do something

I fit these on incoming mains supply to a combination boiler. Very easy to instal. The connections do not leak like some other brands have in the past. It’s worth paying a bit extra for quality on these.
Reduces lime scale build up sticking in a boiler and on outlets that are supplied from these.

These are very easy to install and built to a decent quality. Couldn’t honestly say if they really do reduce scale or not but they are a lot cheaper than a water softener so you get what you pay for.
