Cannot fault this headtorch at all. Amazing quality, super bright and adjustable light. Battery lasts for ages. Charges via USB. Lightweight and sturdy. Best of all headtorches I've used.

Hi. I'm Paul from PG Plumbing and I'm doing a TOOLTALK review on a LED H5R Head Torch. I've had it for a couple of weeks now, been using it quite a bit. Just get it out of the box and show you. It's quite a sturdy unit. Straps really good, quite a lot of flex from there. It's got a battery pack on the back. What I like about it is the fact that it's rechargeable, the charging is done via a magnetic charger. It's a USB connection on the back, just pop a magnetic port there, and it charges. It says it takes about three and a half hours. I've charged it up in about two and a half, and it's still going now from a couple of days later. It says you get about two hours of full charge on full beam. You can change the different settings on it. So you can have a really bright light, a medium, and a lower light.

It's also waterproof to IP65. So if it does get splashed on or anything like that, when we using it outside in the rain. It's not going to affect it. You haven't got to take the battery pack off. You can just clip it on there and start. In the packet, it comes with another silicone strap that goes on a helmet, and you get helmet clips with that as well so safety helmet... Other features it's durable, it's really strong. I've had head torches in the past that I felt quite flimsy and you chuck them in the tool bag, and they don't really last that long. Whereas this one feels like it's well-built. It is a little bit heavier obviously because you've got quite a bit of a battery pack on the back, but all in all, I think is a really good, good head torch.

Definitely got me out of a spot of bother with a few boilers where my normal magnetic light wasn't quite fitting in there and stuff like that. So you can angle the head down, you see that you can twist it right the way through. It's an easy touch on-off. So it's not going to you know, got to depress it for a second, so it's not going to accidentally come on. I'm just going to take you outside where it's dark and just show you how bright it is. Bear with me a second.

It's pitch black out here. That's the brightness of it. You can adjust it to fine-tune the light or you can have a wide lighting like that. So it's pretty good as you can see all that. Quite a beam on it as well as you can see, I don't know if you can see that. There you go. There you go. That's quite a brightness on it. Just like to thank Expert Trades for sending me this tool to review. Hope you like it.

Hello everyone. My name's Lee. My company's iGas Heating Limited. Today I'm going to be doing a Tool Talk review on behalf of Expert Trades. Today I'll be talking about the Ledlenser H5R Work headlamp. Obviously doing what I do, boiler engineer, I get even during normal daylight, getting inside boilers, airing cupboards, things like that, we need... I literally wear one of these every day, all day, on top of my hat that I wear for work.

It's a sad day when I forget my headlamp, and for that reason I actually bought two of the same lamps or families in about six months ago, just so I could leave one at home on charge and one in the van, and that's worked quite well. To be honest, one of them broke within a week, just on the head strap. They've got these little plastic clips. They're like hooks rather than actual braces, if that makes sense, and yeah, that wasn't great.

Ledlenser, they are for me probably market leader. They're not the cheapest. They're really not the cheapest. They're probably at the higher end of the market in terms of actual lamps, headlamps, torches, it's all about work lights, everything else. But yeah, this headlamp's really good. Obviously it's rechargeable, comes with a USB and quite a neat little charger. I don't know if you can see that in the video, but yeah, it's pretty decent.

It's really comfortable to wear. It looks really durable. Like I said, it is rechargeable. Obviously the best thing I like about it the most is the light is actually adjustable on it. I will turn my light off just in a sec, just to show you how bright it can go. I really like them. I really do. I think they're decent. As I say, the ones that I found were only about £15 each. To be fair, they're bright, they're bright as hell, but what I found on them was the battery pack, which is this part, they're really loose. It's just got like a rubber cover on the top, rather than actually a proper lid. This feels really durable. My one, if I just wiggle my head, the battery can come out so yeah, it's not the best. Like I say, for 15 quid you don't expect amazing things. Like I say, these are more expensive, they seem a lot more durable, you get good warranty on them.

That's pretty much it, to be honest. They're excellent. I'll show you how light they are now. So yeah, obviously I just want to show you how bright the actual Ledlenser is. This is it coming on on its lowest setting, so you can see, it's still pretty decent light-wise. What I love is you can adjust it. I don't know if you can see that in the video, but that is really bright. It's excellent. Yeah, so that's pretty much it. Overall not the cheapest, but worth the money in my opinion. Ledlenser.

Now then people, it's Macauley from SmartPipe Plumbing Services. Before we get started, don't forget to go check my social media channels out on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook at SmartPipe Plumbing. So let's get straight into it. We've got the Ledlenser head torch, kindly sent over by Tool Talk TV and Expert Trades. So big shout out to them, go check them out, for sending me out this head torch.

So it's the Ledlenser H5R Work model. And there it is basically. It's got a rechargeable battery, head torch itself, and the fabric headband. We'll go through that in more detail shortly. You also get a rubber headband for hardhats, which is a handy feature to come with it. Because sometimes you got to buy them separately. You also get your charging lead for the rechargeable battery. And instructions and warranty's inside. It does come with a seven year warranty, which is always a good sign to have a bigger warranty on that. So, yeah, let's get straight into looking at the features on the head torch.

So let's start with the battery pack. We've got a light indicator to let us know how long's left on the charge, which is handy to have, because some other head torches that I've had in the past don't have that and it can be a bit of a pain, like when I'm under floors and stuff like that and the light goes out, you're a bit stuck. So you have a good indicator before you go down whether it's going to last or not. It comes with a wireless charge, not wireless charger, sorry. A magnetic charger, which is handy. But I'm not a lover of that because when I've charged it in the van, it did come off, just from it rattling about in the van a bit.

So if you ever charge it, probably charge it on the night before so you can keep it in one place and it's not rattling around in a van. You've got your wire going down the side which is held onto the clip so it's not loose. On the other side you've got a d-link which is handy for hanging it up in your tool bag, in your van, wherever. And then the head torch itself. You got the lens at the front. You got your power button on the side. And it is adjustable. It will turn up and down so you can point it in the right direction. To turn it on, you've got just one press. And to turn it back off again, just give it another press. So you've got the yellow indicator, the yellow button on the side, sorry. Which you can adjust the brightness of the torch, which is really handy. And you've also got the focus lens, which can make it focus the light right into exactly where you need it if need be.

The light does have a locking feature. So you can hold the button in for five seconds, you'll see a flash of light, and that's it, it's locked. It can't be pressed on, which is handy to have. Especially if you've got it hanged up in the van or in a tool bag, that it can't be put on by mistake and drain the battery. To get that back off again, you hold it again until it flashes again, and then it's back to working settings.

The product itself is really robust. Very strong, made to be strong and resistant against dust and water. So, handy for plumbers working under floors, electricians working under floors, anybody really. Any trademan could use this torch and gain the benefits from it. It has been drop tested from three metres, so it is robust. Handy for anyone on the trade. Distance wise, it can reach up to 200 metres, so it has a very strong light on there, it's very bright. Run time, I've been led to believe that it has a two hour run time on full power, and then if you have it on low power you'll get 45 hours, so you've got plenty of charge on there.

You also have a boost section, which I can't remember if I said or not. Which you probably get less than an hour if you run it on the boost option. You've got that boost option, but once you've turned it on, double click it. You probably seen that little flicker then, that's got brighter. Turn that back off, you just press it once it goes back to normal settings. And turn it back off.

So yeah, I'm rambling on a bit here. Features I do and don't like. So I love the boost option that you've got on there, which can be handy for working under floors and dark spaces. The built in d-link for hanging it up for storage. I like the hard hat option, because you don't always get that with like head torches, you've got to buy them separate. So that's really handy. Like I already said, one thing I don't like is the magnetic charger. I'm not a big fan of that, because it does come off. I do like to charge anything that's rechargeable that I use for work in the van. And it's not a big thing, but the clip's a pain to get on. But I suppose it is a good thing that they were hard to get on, because they are probably just as hard to get back off if not harder. Which is handy to know that that's not going to come off when it's on your head.

So yeah, guys, I highly recommend it. Go grab yourself one. So it is the Ledlenser H5R Work. They have got other models out there. Go check them out. Thanks, guys. Peace.
