I had this kit when I first started plumbing, good starting kit and lasted a long time, like one of the other reviews said the grander not being the brushless one after a good hammering they do melt the brushes, they can be changed unless you melt them into the case like mine did

Not a bad little kit. Lower end of the Makita 18v gear but does the job. I would say the grinder is the worst one in the kit, they have a habit of over heating and melting the brushes to the brush holder. Skill saw is very good value for money!

You can’t really fault Makita. Sometimes you can have problems with the batteries but they have improved a lot. The power tools themselves are great, durable and get the jobs done. Perfect for anyone looking to start out with their first kit.

Had one for years, the batteries have had issues, but the new range is much improved. The range of kit that fits the batteries is staggering, others are catching up, but I'm tied to Makita now.

Not bad tools for the money, batteries could be better though, as could the rubber gripy bits on the tools that come unstuck quite quickly.

I recently bought the Makita kit to extend my tool range.
Very versatile and with the ability to mix and match so many of their 18volt cordless range I’m sure there is a tool for every job.

Had this kit for a few years now coming to the end of its days the bag is a great feature but the wheels gave in after time but can still use it as bag no issues. The impact is great and used daily with out fault. The brushes in the combi drill have had to been replaced a few to many times but that's probably down to user not the drill lol

Good gear if you're stating up SE and need a lot of new tools.
Not quite as good as makita used to be IMO, the tools just don't seem to last as long.
But once you have batteries etc. Buying replacement 'bare' units if fairly inexpensive

Got my first makita set in 2011. Was brilliant. Have purchased other bits since then but wanted to have a decent set to build on. The drill is on its way out in less than a year. Considering the biggest thing it's drilled through is 9mm wood it's a bit tosh. The light it comes with doesn't last long. Best thing about the set is the bag.
Tools marked up as made in China. It shows. Once the sets done with il be changing.

I bought this kit when it was first launched about 12 years ago.
I've had to replace all the batteries over time but all the toold are still going.
I've replaced the combination drill and impact driver with brush less models but by choice not necessity.
The reciprocating saw and grinder can be a bit hard on the batteries but otherwise hard to fault.
