Milwaukee Hand Tools GEN III Magnetic Tape Measure

Well, it's a tape measure like many others. But it feels good and sturdy, the tape doesn't fold or flop like cheaper ones. The return spring feels positive and pulls consistently right to the end. No bells or whistles, but the end stop is magnetic which can be a boon when you need to measure off something steel (or put in a handy screw) - plus you can pick up moderately light steel or iron bits you've dropped.

Brilliant tape measure. Best I have had in a while. Nice strong magnet. Nice double side printed tape. Good hold out. Prefer these to the fat max ones. Not a bad price either.

Such a good strong tape measure the magnet can be annoying as you cannot help get metal shavings on it but I love this product I lost mine so will buy another ASAP

Picked one up from my local hardware dealer, fairly cheaply.

Happy with the build quality and feel.

Milwaukee is a good brand for power tools , storage system (packout ) and tools. Power tools and hand tools. This tape is Well made sturdy. Easy to use.

Millwaukee is a good brand and this is the best tape measure I have ever had. 8m is more than enough for most jobs and I can measure without the need of having someone else holding the other end! The magnetic tip is really useful too. Constructed well. Buy this and you won’t be disappointed.

Replaced a komelon with this, like chalk and cheese. Feels much more sturdy. I like the finger hold option and the stand off is good. Recommended

Fantastic tape measure. Wouldn’t think I’d need an expensive tape but it it is so durable and strong. The wide tape means it can be pushed out many meters without breaking down. It’s super accurate and the lock is very good.

Not to bulky considering the length. Good clear and visible numbers. The magnetic tip comes in very handy. Resistant to rust, means it has good durability.

Clear numbers, incredibly easy to read. The belt clip does fray my Jean pockets after 1week which is perfect. Nice size considering it’s 8m and I have small hands!

Got this as a deal and the length that you can throw it out before it flips in the middle is ridiculous to got it to 2.4m before flopping which is the best I have had use it in the workshop everyday and I’m a massive Milwaukee fan so was always going to get it

What a great tape. The numbers are clear and easy to read. The magnet on the end helps for when your measuring longer distances on your own.

Absolutely top class tape measure, nothing bad about it really except the usual over pri eing that were used to with milwaukee tools good clear numbers

I was a Stanley user for so many years, until I bought one of these. I couldn't get my usual tape, so I gave it a try and like it. Time will tell, but its clear to read, good return spring and the marking on the back has come in handy a couple of times.

The only tape measure I use, Great quality, robust, value for money is on par. Larger size numbers and also measurements on the reverse side of the tape so you’re able to see the number from all angles.

Brilliant sturdy tape. I got one after my Stanley fatmax gave up and I don’t look back. I love it and try to keep it clean and it is easy to do so

Recently bought a couple milwaukee tape measures and so far I am very impressed. Build quality is good and the numbers on the tape are slightly larger so easy to read.

Was given one of these from a pal and I must say it’s the best tape I’ve had. The reverse side comes in handy and like all Milwaukee products they are top notch. For some reason I seem to have collected a lot of tapes and this is the go to on my day to day work.

A decent, sturdy tape measure that has coped with daily abuse well. The magnet is strong,, which makes measuring tasks easier. A good piece of kit.

Not the quality you expect from milwaukee but the tape measures are poor quality. The tape seems to bend and break after a few weeks of use. The numbers a clear and very easy to read but wouldn't recommend it due to the fact its very expensive.

Theres not much to say about a tape measure, its a tape that measures but its sturdy and tough and i do love that magnetic feature its surprisingly useful

A sturdy well made tape measure. Holds steady when locked and comes with a handy magnetic end which I have not yet used. It has markings on both sides which is useful. It’s been dropped quite a few times from varying heights and so far there has been no lasting damage.

Got one of these about 2 months ago and so for so good, been very sturdy and easy to read, seems to very durable , think I’ll be getting a few more of them

My go to daily tape. Very well made chunky tape, easy to read yelliw blade with a handy scale rule on the reverse side for taking measurements off plans. There is a large blade tip with hooks above and below. The magnet feature comes in very handy when measuring up for steels.

Great clear to read double sided tape. Won’t tear either and feels odd but in a good way.
Not sure about the patented design finger stop yet but early days.
I’d like a better stand out but I use my fat max for that.

Hi Bought this a while ago and I use it pretty much every day. It's cheap to buy and it's got so much power behind it. I can't recommend it enough.

A little dearer than the stanley ones but have to say its a great tape measure and would definitely buy another one. Used it and abused it a bit, seems to hold up well so far!

Bought due to repeatedly breaking old tapes from other companies have now had this tape for 8 months and it’s been dropped bounced and left out in the rain and it is still perfect.

I brought one of these to replace a lost Stanley 8m tape. It's good, the nylon tape feels quality. I'm sure it will last for years. Personally I'm glad I found my Stanley as I personally prefer it, that being said I'm more than happy with the Milwaukee as a backup.

My first choice of tape measure in my tool kit. Great design and love the finger stop aspect. It has lasted well over a year through all seasons.

I won one of these at a classic car show in Canada. It is brilliant. The best tape I've had by a long shot. Need to measure stuff, it'll do that. Dropped a tool behind a cylinder, the magnet on the end will sort that and its not a flimsy tape either.

By far the best tape on the market, some of the best features are the double sided markings and the material used tmfor the tape . The magents are also very powerful. Overall build quality is brilliant.

As with most things Milwaukee this product is built so well. Use it daily on site and cant see it ever breaking, the magnet is very very strong. Very good to hold to best tape measure i have owned and recommend this to everyone who needs a new everyday one.

Excellent tape. Best one I have had. Doesn’t bend and is very sturdy. Magnet is strong. Good size but not to heavy. Better than the Stanley fat max of the same size.

Build quality of milwaukee never lets you down, nice tape, nice strong wide blade tape doesnt bend like others. nice touch including scale ruler on underside handy for site plans

Great tape measure been a fan of fat max up until now bought one of these and it’s great especially the magnetic feature. Easy to read two tapes one on the front and one on the rear including a useful scale rule.

i have has this tape measure for about two years and it has not deteriorated at all like most do. i like the fact that you dont have the inches side on it.

Brilliant tape measure, so good that I've got 2 just in case I lose it. Very strong tape doesn't like to bend.

I like this tape due to with some of the other tapes the cheap one I find they cut your finger so easy so the more u pay the better quality you will get and less cuts

This is my second tape from Milwaukee. First one was 1st generation the tape is excellent for visibility and durability, the magnet on the tape is strong enough to hold while it is fully extended. Worth every penny

A bit expensive but so a other of Milwaukee tool but I am well glad I spent the extra money very strong durable

Love this tape measure, it is the best one by far I have used over the years, Yes it’s more expensive than others but value for money is spot on, you get what you pay for.

As all Milwaukee tools, quite expensive, but to be fair, probably worth the money (maybe more so as I got a free keyring tool) dropped it a few times and still works great, slides well, magnetic tip is gimmicky, but surprisingly useful and strong. Just a bit on the bulky side, you know its on your belt, which I suppose is a good thing. Recommend.

Won’t reach as far without snapping as previous tapes but really like the scale rule on it, got me out of trouble a few times.

Nice tape to use but nothing special. It’s lates a good while now without uncoiling or splitting so doing well

my apprentice won one of these at the elex show a few weeks later it went walk about into my tools box.. its a great little tape id have one of these over a Stanley any day

Brilliant tape quality made nice to use and out lasts fatmax tapes no problem can take a drop like a beat also

This is a very well built tape measure. Strong magnetic tip. I've had mine for three years and dropped and got it wet many times and it's still going strong
