The Milwaukee M18 B9 REDLITHIUM-ION™ Slide Battery Pack is fitted with REDLINK™ Intelligence and overload protection, which prevents the user from damaging their tools. It has a temperature control cell frame that keeps the battery at an ideal temperature range to provide maximum life. There is a waterproof protection barrier, a rubber overmould and shock responsive separators to protect the battery from damage.
With individual Cell Monitoring which ensures optimal charge and discharge for maximum life and discharge protection which prevents cell damage from over-discharge.
They offer up to fives times more run time vs standard Milwaukee Lithium-Ion, twice the runtime vs Milwaukee 5.0Ah Lithium-Ion battery and 35% more power vs standard Milwaukee Lithium-Ion batteries. Results dependant on voltage, tool and application.

Excellent large capacity battery.
One small downfall is the battery power check is still as flimsy as it is on all of the other versions.
Heavy but a marked increase in runtime and performance on things like the grinder and skillsaw.
High demand for a high demand business.

Not just a battery so don't let the price put you off, the technology in these batteries make them a step above. The downside is the weight especially if used on a hand tool like the sawzall, I use mine as a back up to my 12ah battery on my Milwaukee table saw, it's a cheaper alternative to having 2 12ah batteries.

These batteries are very good for the more powerful tools available. They last a lot longer than my other smaller batteries. The only downside is they are a big heavier and the cost a fair bit more
