Milwaukee Power Tools M18 BMT-0 Multi-Tool 18V Bare Unit

Awesome bit of kit, massively better build than the Makita tool. Strongly advise buying the model with the release lever and using 4ah batteries

Bought this around a year ago and what a tool this is when I fit laminate flooring used to have to do it the old fashioned way with a saw and hammer and chisel but know it takes minutes with no effort at all chasing out the door frames perfect tool

I do not know why it took me so long to purchase one, I could kick myself for not getting one sooner.

Has plenty of power for cutting through various materials.

I had a 12v version of this for years which was great but wanted to jump up to 18v as I have more batteries.
Its just insane its so powerful, the thought I wonder if my multi tool can do this? The answer is almost always yes!

This was an upgrade for me from a cheaper brand and I couldn't be happier. The vibration from this is far less than other brands and it cuts with ease.

Absolute beast of a tool, alot quieter than my m12 multi tool, but far superior regarding cutting, jobs get done much quicker, ide be lost without it.

Great product and used daily. Gets me out a lot of jams and quickly. This is my second multi tool and both have a problem with the on/off switch. Often stops for no reason. Loose connection. Out of warranty now so will have to live with it.

Finally got round to replacing my old corded multi tool. This is great, only a little heavier, but feels more powerful. A must have tool for the van.

Nice and light with plenty of power, a must have tool as always handy for cutting, multi speed is a nice feature, compact enough to get in those awkward spaces

Great tool, quick blade change. Tool itself is slanted which means you can get a nice flush cut. Personally using it to cut out fast fix boxes into ply and plasterboard

Just upgraded from a 12v to this. Much better. Great tool,good power.
Nice and easy blade change. A bit more weight to it but find that it helps keep as positive cut. All round happy days.

Great tool to have in your tool set, gets you out of trouble many times, all the different adapters that fit helps so much in day to day use, recommend

Fantastic tool. Super easy to use!

Perfect for removing old screws on bolts in difficult to reach places.

Only VERY slight downside, it doesn’t stand upright with a battery in! I am being very picky.

Great bit of kit, throw a 5aH on it will last all day, however reason for the 3 stars on build quality is because you can’t stand it up without the blade touching a surface or rolling over to potentially touch one, however it’s solid as all Milwaukee stuff is ! And speed controller is better than using a trigger control

Great multi tool, easy blade change,any blade fits,so ideal for aftermarket blades. It’s getting a bit tired after 5 years of daily abuse,can’t wait for the brushless version.

One of the best power tools about, so much power in it. I used it to cut out a plasterboard wall under the stairs, to create more space for our dog. Sanding part on it is excellent aswell, saves so much time.

I’ve always been a DeWalt fan however one of my colleagues has a full Milwaukee kit. Very impressed indeed with the quality and specifically with the multi tool. I highly recommend this as an addition to anyone’s kit.

Most of my power tools are by Milwaukee so it was a no brainier to get this multi cutter as I can use my existing batteries. The tool itself is up-to the task and I’ve had no issues at all. The only thing I wish they would improve on is how the blade goes onto it. There must be a much easier way surely!

I had the batteries already so it was a no brainer that when I needed a multi tool for an upcoming bathroom conversion I chose the Milwaukee. As with the drill and impact gun that I already had, I'm more than happy to sing Milwaukee's praises. Lite enough for one handed use, variable speed is excellent, the light does what you'd expect and depending on the blades you buy it'll cut true and as a bonus much quieter than other multi tools I've previously had my hands on

Just added the fuel version to our collection. Great bit of kit, the best multi tool I have used, the extended angle of rotation makes a huge difference on wood cuts. More than the lates Dewalt but please I went Milwaukee.

As has been mentioned on other reviews a quich release for blades would make this better but as it is its still a super useful tool to have in the toolbox

Great tool, use it all the time for loads of different things and hasn’t let me down yet, my only issue is the collar that holds the blades, I wish it was a quick release like the de Walt but for the sake of 10 seconds I can do without it

Great tool, still a little pricey compared to others.
Blade changing mechanics are easy to use, although if not cared for properly you may lose the locking bolt.

As with any cutting tool, it’s only as good as the blade it’s being used with, must have good quality Bosch/Milwaukee blades to accompany it to get its full potential.

Really happy with the multi tool after a lot of looking as I use other brands of tools aswell. Had mine for a while now and would buy another when needed

This is unreal a great help used it so many times to get skirting cut round on site and in the workshop so handy when I need to notch formers and loads of other jobs. I own Milwaukee because it’s the best there is so much power and sits really nice in the hand.

My favourite piece of kit by far. I've a few brands of multi tool, all pretty decent, but this one works like a dream, battery lasts and the build quality is superb.

Great piece of kit for multiple uses. Keyless Chuck for blade changing is easy to use. Powerful machine that can get in so many spaces. Milwaukee’s m18 products have the power of not more power than some corded products out there

Great bit of kit with the right blades, well made and very bulky the attachment that allows for any blades can be fairly fiddly until used to it but highly recommend

I like this tool, I have used it before however think I will next purchase the M12 fuel tool. It’s a great multi tool however it’s quality bulky and not as precise as a smaller cutter but it’s robust and strong to cut through anything.

Brought one of these a few years ago and couldn’t imagine going to work with out it. Great bit of kit, makes the work day more productive as you send less time struggling with awkward cuts.

I have had this tool for nearly 2 years and gets used a lot with a house project. It has been amazing not to big and heavy to get into small areas but enough weight you don’t need to apply so much pressure.

Nice weight to it. It's a lot quieter than most multi tools which is nice. The other thing it's really nicely balanced I have only had a week so can't comment on reliability

Had the unit about eighteen months now, does all I need it to do with a 4 amp battery pleased with general performance overall, sometimes the vibration seems to be a little more than my Fein corded one. Otherwise a great piece of kit

I bought this tool recently after my fain for stolen from the job site and I love the Milwaukee I use a 4 ah battery and find it lasts long enough

Purchased the body only as I already have a few spare batteries. Great tool and very efficient. Can feel quite heavy with the battery if working in cupboards or small spaces. I’ve not had to replace any blades yet but I understand these are quite expensive.

I got this as it was on a ridiculous clearance deal with 2 x 5ah batteries. I was more than impressed and have used this most days since and it hasn't let me down. The only downside is the blade replacement, it looked at first to have a quick release lever but you still have to unscrew the blade so I was slightly disappointed with that.

Bought this instead of the Fein cordless as I already have the batteries. It has plenty of power and the variable speed comes in very handy (The speed control can be knocked if working in a tight space). Can be a bit bulky with a 5ah battery hanging off the back but that is the price you pay for longer run times between charges.

Build quality is great but the adjustable speed is very hard to use and also large battery makes it hard to fit in tight spaces. Not as easy to change blade as other brands

Cracking multi tool for my day to day working life. Interchangable with tonnes of different blade manufacturers. Battery life is too aswell. Would definitely recommend.

had my milwaukee multi tool since they first came out. it's got me out off lost tight situations and definitely a tool the most trades need into here kit

An excellent tool and once you have one there's no going back. Having a wireless one means I'm using it far more than I need to, it just makes everything easier.

Our employee’s use Milwaukee tools from apprentice to directors. They’re top quality and very reliable and durable. This particular tool is one of the must needed tools for the trade for its handling of anything you put to it

great tool very handy for cutting out back boxes in plaster board and removing floor boards. battery life is good and very powerful and easy to change blades

Good product for cutting everything, especially tight areas , floorboards,notching out joists etc and even tight pipe areas where you can't get access

Excellence cordless multitool with various speed settings. The best bit is the quick release system. Had mine for over a year now and get regular use with no issues whatsoever, excellent build quality that you come to expect from Milwaukee.

Good value for money, the quick realise is simple and works well, my only issue is that is very loud and vibration is higher than some of the others I have used I prefer the Bosch version my friend has but having all other Milwaukee tools I have stuck with this one. Be warned the M12 Milwaukee mulitool is not very good I went through 3. If you are getting one definitely go for the m18

Good value for money. I bought as a bare unit, has 12 speeds of cutting and easy blade replacement.
Quite and very good vibration suppression. I have only used the dewalt multi tool to compare it to but it is far superior that that one.

Had one of these for around 2 years now, do not know how I managed without it.
Already have Milwaukee power tools so bought it as a bare body as the batteries and chargers are interchangeable which is a great help and saves a lot of money when purchasing.
Very powerful indeed and can get into surprisingly tight spaces.
Cuts through most wood and plasterboard, tiles with the correct blade all with ease, battery life lasts well.

I have found this a very useful tool although the blade holder tends to come loose quite a lot, to solve this issue I have to tighten with a screwdriver and then close the latch.
This tool has been invaluable to me and am not quite sure how I got by without it. I would recommend this tool but would also like Milwaukee to have a look at the loose blade issue

Brilliant tool, power and precision on a cordless battery. The only negative I can see is that it can’t stand up because of how the battery is installed.

I love the Milwaukee Multi tool. Priced higher than other brands but a solid bit of kit. Blades are easy changed and will provide longevity. Worth having in your kit

Milwaukee quality tools , a little bit more expensive than it competitors but very good build quality , and Milwaukee offer a good variety of tools for different applications, but the multi tool is a must in your tool kit, really don’t know how we survived without 1

the blade in this muilt tool is very easy to change you dont need to spend time looking for your allan keys as all you need is pliers. the most anoying thing about this tool is the fact that the battery is angled to you can not sit that tool upright. and when you have been cutting something for a long time the blade gets hot so you are resting a hot blade on the floor.

A very good piece of kit after using another battery operated unit, i purchased this one as i have other Milwaukee products and you can use the same batteries.
The fact it’s got a quick changeover device makes it easier to change blades was a big plus for me, don’t think there has been anything I couldn’t use it for during my daily electrical duties.

Excellent tool to match my milwaukee tools. Unfortunstly there are some huge problems. Firstly the bit that oscillates failed on my tool so its been with milwaukee for some weeks now. Secondly unlike the dewalt it doesnt stand up which is very odd. It means you have to lay it down each time. Not a fan of that missing feature.

Good multi tool. Prefer the dewalt one probably because I'm more used to it. The speed control is a good extra on it and battery life seems to be good on it too. Solid multi tool all round

For the price I paid I couldn't expect more, lightweight and powerful for 18v and doesn't drain the battery in seconds unlike my previous one from another brand

I bought this about a month ago as I was tired of my 110v Fein. This is much easier to carry around and compliments all my other M18 tools. I use it for cutting floorboards up and copper pipes in hard to reach areas.

Great tool that I wish I had bought sooner. Got a 12v one from a German supermarket and couldn't believe how much I used it. Too much it seems as I burnt it out trying to do too much. Got this one as I already had other Milwaukee tools. It doesn't disappoint. Plenty of power and great run time. Gets you out of so many tricky situations. Couple of small issues, there is no dust extraction attachment supplied for when you are sanding. You get one with the Makita multi tool so was surprised this one didn't have one. Also when you go to set it down, it either rests on it's side or with the blade flat on the surface it's resting on. This isn't great as the blade can get very hot. Would have been good to have it sit in such a way that the blade didn't come into contract with anything when not in use. Another personal preference would have been to include a belt clip. Even with these issues it is a fantastic tool and having tried the Makita and Dewalt, I would still prefer this one.

I bought the M18 Multitool as an addition to my 18v set and cannot believe how I ever managed without it.

Battery life is superb as are all the M18 products, well balanced even with the 5ah batteries in. No tools required to change blades makes this a dream to have on site.

I use this for everything, plaster board wood and metal. Does everything that a jigsaw can do.

10v one battery can go flat quickly but only £40 for spare

I have Milwaukee drills great bits of kit but when it comes to multi tool nothing touches Fein part from
Cost but you know what they say you get what you pay for look a good cordless version though

It's amazing bit of kit I only have the 12 volt one but just in that version it lasts ages and it's easy to use.

I seriously do not know how I managed without this for the last 10 years. So glad I bought one for me out of many a head scratcher. Superb bit of kit for any trades toolbox
