Obviously a every day tool. Made here in Britain so you can’t really go wrong. They’re quality made, you know the factory is just a few hundred miles away and you’re getting a quality product. Used them when I was younger as the most recommended by my step dad. Cuts are always good.

Very similar to the Rothenberger but the blade in the Monument is better. You wouldn't know the difference between them if you held them in your hands. The 28mm is metal on the monument one too, unlike the Rothenberger which is plastic.

These are excellent. Works as good as the autocut, the 28mm is a lot better than the Rothenberger plastic ones. I still prefer the autocut but I'd happily buy these if they were all the merchants had in stock.

I found these worked really well. The 22mm did seem a little slack in the spring when you paused during cutting but it didn't fault or tramline at all. Overall very happy with these cutters.

These are a lot different to your usual autocut, they're a lot heavier which i like, especially the 1 inch / 28mm, much better. they feel a lot better quality than the Rothenberger BUT mine seems to have broken just as quick so not the best.

Hi, this is Andy Bennett from Bennett Safe Gas and today I'm doing a Tool Talk review on, if you can see it, the new Monument Originals. I've got a 15, I've got a 22 and a 28. So that's them there. And these are not the normal Monuments. These are the new ones that look like all the others out there. The standard generic. These are made by Monument and they're calling them Original. Best thing about them, that bit just there, made in Britain. Yep. So opening 22 one. Yeah, just the same. And 28. Now I have used alternative 28 and they're plastic. These are normal metal, as you'd expect. There you go. There's all three there. Yeah, they look like a good sturdy design. Single screw to remove. Yeah, very nice.
You got a good grip. It does protrude a bit more than some of the others, and so when you got wet hands, which you usually do when you're cutting pipes, you've got a bit more grip. They come in cardboard, which is obviously better for the environment, so they're fully recyclable, better than some of the blister packs you get. And they are protected, so better than some of the cheap ones come with absolutely nothing. And they do fill up with dirt and crap before you've even bought it and filled it with dirt and crap on your own. So, yeah, nice little addition have in there. And environmentally and recyclable packaging. Nice little tool. Thank you, Monument, and thank you Tool Talk for sending them out.

Hi, Andrew here from ATR Plumbing, and today I'm reviewing the Monument Originals 15, 22 and 28 millimetre pipe slices, which have been given to me to test by Tool Talk. It's another great product by Monument. I've used their pipe slices for over 10 years now, and I've never had a bad pipe slice, to be honest. They all work really well. These pipe slices are my preferred type because they've got these grooves on the outer casing, which make it easy to grip onto and they don't slip, even if there's water in the pipe. And it's just easy. And also when you're in a tight space you can use your grips and there's no chance of that ever slipping. Whereas some other pipe slices, plastic for example, obviously plastic and metal, it can slip or crack.
Yeah, as I say, they cut really well. They've got strung springs in them. The wheels are easily to replace when they go dull. Just to show you an example, that's cutting through paint, so it's a bit thicker than it normally would and it's still relatively easy to cut through. The only slight negative I would say about the Monument Originals pipe slices, the 28 millimetre model is quite a bit bigger than normal 28 millimetre pipe slices. So if you're working in a tight space, that against the wall, you may struggle to get that in without it fouling on the wall. But that's only a minor detail and I wouldn't let it subtract from purchasing these products. So yeah, another great product from Monument. I'm very impressed. These are the type of products you want to be buying. Quality products, as they say, "Buy cheap, buy twice." So I love a great product. Thank you.

Hi, I'm Phil from Stokes Heating. Today we're doing a review on the Monument Pipe Cutters. They're the new design. They've come to a more generic design; whereas the other ones you could tell they were Monument, these are pretty standard. Good feature with them is on all the wheels, there's a gap between there. So whereas the other ones used to fill up with paint, start to seize, these stay really clean, so I bought another pair because I do like them.
Easy to use. As with the old cutters, they don't go jumping off. Solid metal construction. We have had some plastic ones, where the 28 mm ones are plastic, but I just can't get on with them. But these are nice and chunky in the hand. And an extra feature on all of them are the same, got that gap that stays clean, stops filling with paint and stops them wheels from seizing up.
Very good cutters, thoroughly recommend. Thank you Tool Talk for sending them to me to review.

Morning, Tool Talk. Here we are, on the beautiful Verified Build site. We're going to be reviewing the Monument 15-mm copper pipe cutter. Nice, solid built. Made in Britain, which is always a winner. Big shout out to Monument and Tool Talk for supplying these to use around the builds.
We've all used them. We all know what they are. We all know what they do. They cut 15-mm copper. The longevity of these, compared to other brands, which I've used in the past, outweighs them massively. They all get some hammering. They all get battered. So being thrown around, being chucked around, we need to make sure we've got something solid, something reliable, that we can pick up and use day-to-day, even the tightest spots. We don't want them wheeling or laddering down the pipe when we use them.
Let's give them a blast, shall we? Bit of copper. Nice easy motion. Beautiful. Cuts beautifully. Little burr in there. Nice, easy, straight cut around the pipe. Winner.
