Monument Tools 2077Q 22mm KAINN Solder fitting Crimping Pliers
The Made In Britain KAINN Solder fitting Crimping Pliers are designed to aid in the dry connection of pipe to solder fitting before soldering; it’s a bit like having a third hand. The tool adds a small indentation on the solder fitting which is enough to hold the fitting in place during soldering. the indent is not a permanent fix and the pipework can still be adjusted. Use multiple crimps if a greater hold is required.

Very happy with this product, I have both the 15mm and the 22mm. Tired of propping up pipe with a bit of wood? This is the answer. I used to use my grips but that would distort the pipe.

I now have a set, I love them, great bit of kit, they do work with every fitting that I’ve used, I highly recommend them, they do save time, and time is money. It’s a no brainer.

Had mine while now and in theory this should be good but was little disappointed, doesn’t work on a lot of fittings and to behonest I’ve take it out my bag now only got the 22 so can only speak for that one

Perfect tool when you need to do a vertical joint and the pipe just won’t stay in , use this tool to crimp the fitting and the pipe will stay in place for you to solder it

This saves so much time faffing about trying to hold pipes in place once fluxed up.
You cannot damage the pipe, I have tried & it doesn't damage the fitting either.
Such a simple tool to think of but so effective & such a time saver, brilliant.....

I use these everyday. Brilliant bit of kit. Helps pipe up without it all falling apart before you solder.

Works well, would be better if one pair did both 15 and 22 but overall good tool Will get the 15 as well

Great tool, you could argue it does the same as a pair of grips but more refined. One of those tools that once you use it you'd get reliant on it and helps speed you up

Basically does what it says, good for holding vertical fittings etc being the 22mm version I wouldn't use it like I would the 15mm version for prv pipework etc. I definately wouldn't pay the full price when a pair of grips would do the same job the offer price of £12 would be about right in all fairness as its only a one job tool that isnt essential.
