Review for Olympic Tool Applicator For Brolly Anchors by DAJ

It’s certainly the better type of plasterboard fixing. However it needs to be made of stronger stuff. I wouldn’t say I’m heavy handed with it. But the arms have bent several times in use and now rendered it next to useless.
I’ve another and exercising a lot of caution using it. But I’m quite disappointed with it.

Great wee tool, mine came as part of a kit, im not sure I would've invested in one otherwise however I would now, so much easier than just tightening on the fixing

This is a good setting tool. I prefer to use it over driving the screw in. You get a more positive feel of the anchor securing itself well. But I think it's quite expensive for what it is

This works great. I used to use impact driver to pull back/open of plugs but found that doing it that way sometimes the plug would snap inside wall but with this tool never had. As head of screw sits inside tool and tool pulls head in turn pulling back into wall then stops when its fully opens inside wall.

This is the second one of this style o bought. I couldn't get on with the blessed thing. It wouldn't pull the bigger umbrellas up. I bought Fischer and never looked back.

The applicator saves so much time and gives you the knowledge that the anchor has been fully expanded before using it as a fixing. Simple to use and solidly made. My only issue is the 30mm of travel, it can be a bit short to fully secure the anchor in 1 pull. Still it is no problem to spin the tread in wity a drill and then go again with the applicator.
