For years Ive used Stanley for all sizes of spirit level. I got this small level last year and beautiful bit of kit. Its solid, easy to read (from one side for the centre level) and usable pretty much everywhere. The flat base is magnetic too which has come in very handy. Love it. My next purchase of a larger level will be from Ox. You could do a lot worse than buying Ox

The bubble only being visible from one side is annoying but putting that aside this is a very robust little level.
It’s a bit too bulky for radiator brackets but I have used it for most other situations.
The rubber ends also stop it slipping about while marking that long straight line....

Built to last this is a tough little level. Only downside is the bubble it only visible from one sode which is annoying as you always pick it up on the wrong sode.

Hi. It's Scott Priddey from SafGas Limited, just doing a review for Expert Trades, Tool Talk.
Tool Talk.
So today, I'm going to review the Ox Boat Level. I've had his for quite a while. I've found it useful in some situations but I'm still tending to go back to my smaller level when doing radiators and smaller pipe work. This is okay for bigger pipe work, I find it a bit chunky on the end. It's got the groove down the middle so you can place it over pipes or on pipes.
I've also found it very useful for doing condense runs outside. Because it's got this adjustable, if I can get on it, it does move ... gets a bit of a rust or dirt in it, but yeah, it does move, you've got this adjustable level here.
So what I've found that useful for is for when I'm clipping my condense runs, so you can ensure that you've got the right angle on it. Yeah, I find it a bit bulky. All in all, it's a good solid level. I've dropped it a few times and there's hardly any scratches on it, so I have dropped it off a ladder as well, yeah, and it's still going, nothing's smashed. I think that's the beauty of having these big rubber ends, it did bounce, whether I was lucky on the way it bounced. But yeah, the Ox Boat Level.
