Handy bit of kit if your not a plumber/gas engineer and will get you out of a jam but just as quick to isolate and fix the slot/burst pipe properly.

This is a good idea but in reality it is just as easy to cut the split pipe and repair with compression or even a mappress fitting. I guess if you are desperate it will work but for the sake of 10 extra mins you could complete the job in one visit.

Worth keeping in the tool box. Just make sure you get it back as I had ne customer who wanted to keep it as a permanent repair. He took some convincing that it was a temporary repair

Bought this as it was recommended on a gas fitters site. Have it in my tool box as an emergency fix but never had the opportunity to use in a real situation. Ended up making a situation to see how it coped and it was everything I was made to believe it was. Very handy bit of kit for a plumber to keep in the toolbox (actually sparkles too!)

Bought this couple months back as it was on offer at local merchants and though I’d give it again and couple days later I used it on an emergency call out. Quite a handy piece of kit for temporary basis to stop a leak, while worth having in your toolbag

Used this item several times. I've found it to be great when convering a split pipe after a burst. It allows me to stop the leak, reinstate the supply and book in the repair. The main problem I found is the whitish coloured rubber inside comes away easy and sometimes doesnt sit great. Apart from that its a good thing to have in the van..

Review of the Rothenberger 15mm Kibosh Pipe Repair

Just got called out 9:45 to a burst outside tap because some fucking legdragger plumber fitted an outside tap with no lagging or isolator for £10 probably and some arse nugget of a kitchen fitter had buried the stopcock deep in the depths of the units even fucking David Attenborough would struggle to find.

So freezing cold and with water pissing everywhere like a Tena lady convention I decided to put the Rothenberger 15mm Kibosh Pipe Repair to the test thinking it would be a simple clunk click and away I go and carry out the full repair when I'm less busy.

How fucking wrong was I after 10 minutes wresting with the bastard trying to clip it around the pipe, water pissing in my face like a scene out of anal gushers 3 I launched the bastard down the garden, Hands cut to shreds like I had been greeted by Edward Scissor-Hands

Deciding I had fuck all better to do on a Tuesday night i would go in search for the main stopcock in the road sliping and sliding like the scene from Bambi on ice, soaking wet, on the ice covered paths trying to find a stopcock hidden by the clever bastards that cleared all the snow of the cul-de-sac's road on the path just to make my job that much fucking harder.

After 20mins walking around like i had shit me self and icicles forming on my sack bigger than me cock. I thought fuck it I will cut it live and cap it.

So off I went back house and carried out what can I by claimed as the most stupid fucking thing I have done.

Out came the Rothenberger Pipeslice (I know some fucker by the name of Tony has robbed my monument pipe slice ) so I started cutting or should I say chewing the pipe in what seemed to take fucking hours with ice cold water shooting at my already shrivelled up stump, cutting through every layer of clothing like a karcher pressure washer through butter I finally got though the toughest copper pipe known to mankind (I think it had Charles Bronson embossed on the bastard)

I finally felt a sense of jubilation .....on went the cap end and I don't know if it was tears of joy or the water running down off my freezing cold head (another thing Tony knicked my fucking Expert Trades Hat the bastard) so feel free Adam Callow to restore my faith in humanity

To sum up Avoid the Rothenberger Kibosh it not only doesn't work it causes you knob to almost turn blue and fall off. May also be worth while avoiding working with anyone called Tony.
