Stanley Tools FatMax® Autolock Pocket Tape

Always has to be stanly for accuracy we all use Stanley and if I ask for a specific length then I get it where as other tapes vary quite a bit and for most people accuracy is what can make the difference between a good and a bad job.

What is the procedure for the same and how to apply for the visa application process and how to apply for the job in the van on the day tbh and yea left house at 4 and remembered the other day to baby and its not ur fault its just a bit of a mess for the house to be done tho I have

Great tape measure. Only one I'll use now. Used it in wet conditions, dropped off scaffolds, still going strong. The adaptor pieces that come with it too are also handy

Good tape nice and solid change able heads for either extremely wide nose or magnetic. Used Stanley tapes for a long time and always worked well usually survive a long time considered the amount of abuse they take daily

A tough reliable tape measure. The scales are easy to read and the thumb lock is positive making it easy to engage and release. I have had several break over the years but considering the amount of abuse they get on site they seem to last fairly well. Usually fail at the very end when pulled beyond their limit.

I am using tape measures daily and always seems to have a Stanley one, never had a problem and always last, they are a-bit prices but can’t pick up deals would recommend

Had a few different models to the one pictured.

5m basic tape, no issues, still going strong (10 years old)
8m chrome case tape, has extra width which comes in handy on site

Nice feel in the hand - good and solid! Digits are clear and precise. Nice rigid tape which can extend well and if purchased in the duo pack they are good value for money.

What to say about this it's a tape great price and can normally pick up in a twin pack. Numbers are nice and clear with a good locking mechanism to hold in place.

Nothing worse than having a tape bend when your trying to measure somthing, this is a great well built tape measure that holds at a good length.

Not the cheapest available but an excellent bit of kit, holds well even a full stretch. Good features and a robust product overall. Large catch at the end for ease of use on larger measuring projects

Stanley tried and tested over the years, I love the fact it comes with two heads one with a strong magnet and the other a big gripper perfect for any job

I love this tape measure, sturdy even at full lock. Measurements are easy to read and very robust.
Highly recommend this product even at its price point.

This is a good tape, even extended past the magic 2m mark this does not flop easily like other brands, robust feel to it and the numbers are easy to read, good quality all round

This is a very good quality tape measure. The tape is very rigid when extended to a reasonable distance unlike other flimsy ones. Not sure it’s worthy of its price range though? I’d rather have a couple of mid price

It’s ok, it’s a tape measure and it’s accurate. It’s expensive enough to not leave at the job but for it’s cost I kind of expected a bit more. Would possibly buy several cheaper options in the future as it’s never in my pocket when I need it.

I’m my opinion this measuring tape is overprice considering the quality, it seems you’re mostly paying for the name rather than the quality. Used to be a big fan of Stanley but sadly being letdown with poor tools.

It’s not the cheapest tape measure on the market but it is probably one of the better ones that are out there you can spend plenty of money on tape measures that would only last you a couple of months I’ve had these now lasted me at least six months minimum in the rain and in the dry value for money

Got this along side the new komeleon tape and it’s very nice. Not too heavy and quite good build. Feels solid compared to some other tapes I’ve had

Definitely the best quality tape measures by far. Quite expensive but you get what you pay for. Long lasting tape measure. Clear measurements so easy to read even in low light.

Ive had my stanley fat max tape measure what seems like forever, great quality you get great support when it's extended with little wobble perfect if your measuring up longer jobs all day dont buy a cheaper one buy cheap you buy twice

Great tape measure strong easy to read well made of good material will support it self when extending out strong hook comfortable in your hand

purchased this tape thinking I previously had it when I lost one. But when I arrived I realise it was a shorter length and a bit smaller. At first I was disappointed because i got the wrong one but after I used it at work for a week I soon realised it was the best tape I've owned. These ones are quite solid compared to other plastic alternatives, glides really well, and most importantly has a firm lock on it. The smaller size make it perfect for me as it's easier to hold and fit in my pocket. I'd be buying another if I/when I need one.

Been using mine for years and can’t see any signs of ageing, would be nice if it had measurements on the underside of the tape like some of the newer ones but can not fault it.

Well manufactured tape measure that doesn't collapse when you put it out a long way, Fatmax stuff is generally good but I would choose this tape measure over many others for cost

It’s a tape measure,do prefer these to other brands,they seem more sterdy so you can have a length of tape out without it collapsing which we all know can be very annoying

Very robust, feels weighty and solid. Return mechanism is strong and the tape retracts very rapidly. Measurements are clear and easy to read in both metric and imperial units. Standard Stanley yellow makes it easy to find amongst tools. The belt clip is very strong and holds it in place. Overall solid reliable toolbox essential.

strong and sturdy, would highly recommend. bounced off the floor a few times and still in tact . tape measure extends quite far without buckling which is very handy

Got it at Christmas to replace my Irwin Pro tape which died. It was a brilliant tape with fantastic rocker switch for a brake but the spring went and stopped retracting... for no reason. I had both a 5m and 8m. Both died the same way. Only had them 1 month and 5 months before they died.

Saw this Fatmax and thought the feature which made it stand out was the brake was automatic (opposite to every other tape out there) and you have to press a button for it to retract. Plus you can turn that off if you dont want it.

The changeable clip on the end is a nice to have feature but is quite hard to change, so havent bothered with it yet. (There is a magnet on the end which can be swapped for a wider end piece which will grab on better, esp if measuring further distances. Both ends are storable on the tape itself as spare.

I prefer the markings on the Irwin which are easier to see. And be careful that some versions of this tape are Imperial only.... It is nice and wide though and stays solid without falling down over long distances.

So far, its been good. Lets see what happens.

Quite expensive for a tape measure but it has a strong tape meaning it can be thrown out a long way without sagging or creasing which is useful on solo jobs

Purchased this tape measure the other week and I have to say I'm impressed with it , yeah its not the cheapest but it feels solid in use , just a case of seeing how long it will last

What can I say this Stanley fatmax measuring tape does the job perfectly.
Always on hand for them all important measurements the blade tape is ultra strong and works a dream

Disappointed with this product. Had it for a few weeks. Dropped it a couple of times from around hip hight and casing snapped open and tape unraveled every where. For the price of this product I would expect it to be a bit more robust for the job.

Just brought one of these to replace my broken one after an expert trades recommendation and can’t lie brilliant. Feels like it won’t brake if dropped and tape feels solid enough. Cost was ok not the cheapest but worth it.

Great tape well worth the money dont think i could change tape self locking is great especially with the interchangeable magnetic tip

Not cheap but worth the money. This tape measure is built sturdy and the auto lock is great.
Would recommend it to anyone

Not the cheapest tape but it is very sturdy and robust and you couldn't ask for more really. Seems to be lasting the test of time.

Great tape lasts as well as the next tape very robust will take a drop well doesn't like getting wet though

Great tape. Rigid enough at length for measuring on your own. Good quality and well worth the price.

Have this in the 10M version. So handy when working solo as the blade is so broad it can extend out much much farther before snapping.

One of the best tapes I've had, good sturdy and easy to read! Is a bit expensive for a tape measure and gutting if you loose one!!!!!!!!
