Another invaluable tool for electrical engineers for routing cables in cavity walls.
Slide it up an insulated wall behind the insulation to desired location and tape the cables and pull through, I like to see as much tape on it as I see the tape as a success.

Absolute must as a spark.
Does all the things rods can’t quite do, I must’ve saved so much time with one of these fishing through dry lining instead of making holes

I received one of these as part of there trade club and used it various times but have found it to coil back up when trying to use it. It comes coiled up in a bag when you get it so naturally it tries to spring back in to this coil. Coiling it up backwards is a way to
minimise this but still find a bit of galvanised fencing wire to be the best. Old school.

I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago so not had masses of use but it has been a great asset, rods down stud walls well, I read a lot of reviews about it cooking up during use and after looking on super rod site they mentioned keeping it coiled backward or starred in roof tube, I keep it coiled backwards and seems to work well

I bought this product to try as a few people had recommended it as being particularly useful and they were not wrong it is ideal for rodding through the places that you wouldn’t be able to use conventional rods.

I absolutely love this tool. Especially as it is so easy to store in a rucksack and take to any job yet is just as useful (in some cases more useful) as having cable rods.

So good I bought two of them.
Very handy, rigid and flexible use of it gives it an edge over some of these tools. Great for fishing in a cavity or in a ceiling.

It scuffs and looks like it’s been through a lot more than it has. But doesn’t catch and slips by insulation easily.

Have had this little beauty since before SuperRod took it on from the guy who invented it. Have found them brilliant in dado trunking. To get down dot&dabbed walls. And for pushing up into loft spaces to pull down cables for rewiring. I have 2 and wouldn’t be without them!

Purchased as a impulse buy after seeing it online. Can be picked up for around a tenner in some well known tool shops. As many have probably done before I used trunking lid on many a occasion which ended up bent in the back of the van or unravelling and getting kinked and misshapen. Surprisingly this can be coiled back up with ease. It makes fishing a cable through a void in a wall a breeze.

Having just decided to invest in one of these after a fellow electrician I follow on Instagram recommended it. I have had the super rod fibreglass rod set for years and find that very easy to use and has assisted me in installing lots of cabling over the years into tight spaces. I am going to have to purchase a new rod kit at some point as the tube has broken and a couple of ends have snapped on the rods. I must add that it was probably due to me being very heavy handed and ramming the rods into holes to push them through tough spots.

Back to the cable tongue have only used it a hand full of times because I’ve only had it 2 weeks but every job I have used it for it has found the hole straight away. I have used it to pull cables behind plasterboard and found that the strong plastic and rigid spiral means that the tongue goes into the hole and stays rigid on the backside of the plasterboard until it pokes out of the hole at the bottom. Having used trunking lid for years to do this job the tongue is the right shape to get from A to B but also it looks so much more professional carrying in to a customers house than a scruffy bit of trunking.

Will be keeping this in the van and will certainly be a important part of my tool collection

I’ve got two of these, one being the luminous one. They have just saved me half a days work by getting cables under the floor rather than shaving to take up floor coverings and floor boards. I keep them straight in an oval conduit . Will look at getting the one with the cable cage

I was sent one of these for free for being a part of the super rod club, I thought I would never have a use for it but I was wrong this little coil has got me out of trouble many a times where cable rods wouldn’t get down a wall or under a floor due to the angle, using it can be a bit fiddly but once you get the hang of it there’s no going back!

I used a friends one of these units, it got us out of a tricky situation where we couldn’t get a guy in deep enough to the roof void and the rod set wouldn’t go in. I will defo be investing in one of these.

Great bit of kit that has got me out of many a tricky situation. Would highly recommend! The fact that it curls itself up allows you to guide it along a surface. I find it’s best not to keep it cooled up too tight as it works better when it’s not. Not overly expensive and would have definitely paid more for it!

A good bit of kit that does what it says on the tin. It’s advised to counter coil it before using or it will wrap back on itself. Easy to cut electrical tape off due to plastic design.

Makes feeding cables that bit easier, I would recommend to have as it can pull you out of a hole, however they are pricey for a thin bit of plastic
