Hi, this is Darren Eakins from Purely Bedrooms, and I shall be reviewing a couple of hand tools made by Tracer. So I have four hand tools here from Tracer, a square, set square, and two roofing squares. There is a third one, which is a size in between. The first thing I found when I pick these up is there is a bit of weight to them, which suggests that they have been built well. They're sturdy. The markings for the numbers are very clear, very clear. And as a matter of aesthetics, I like the green. Again, this is solid. It has a few angles written on there just to help you if you want to be setting out differently.
But the main important thing is that it is actually a true 90 and it does look like it would be a hard wearing tool able to take a bit of bashing around as what happens as we place our tools carefully into our toolboxes and then drive like lunatics. So this one here, the square, this again, the number's smaller on this one, but I find them very clear myself and very easy to use. The square, it goes, moves in and out very nicely. And again, the green is a colour that I like particularly. Again, there's a bit of weight to this. So again, this one feels sturdy. It does feel like it would be long-lasting. So you've got the option of the 90 degree or the 45. And the 45 is very accurate, which is very important. And the roofing square I don't use, wouldn't use as much as I no longer do roofs myself, but it can still be used in regular carpentry as a couple of things here. Again, numbers very well, very concise, very clear. Again, it feels very sturdy.
I like the nice wide base on it, which does help. So you can use it in the wardrobe well, just to make sure that things are 90 degrees or square. And again, the wider one is very good for setting out again to make sure you're 90 degrees there. So it is a tool that even though it is a roofing square, I could use this in my installation of wardrobes. And another good one is that the slots there, you can just hook this. If you did have a nails or in your van, it doesn't have to then be on the floor. If you put a couple of screws in the panelling, you could hang that up, make it easier to retrieve from the van. So they are good quality tools and I would recommend them. Now for added stability. You can push this square because of the nice solid edge there. I think it's the right piece to help hold the guide rail. It is just for extra stability and a bit more safety when you're cutting.
Hiya, this is Andy Bennett from Bennetts Safe Gas, and this is a Tool Talk review for Tracer. This is the 300 mil carpenter square, and that's it there. Nice box. Let's have a look inside. It is very well-packed, ensuring stays straight. Yeah, it's nice. Build quality is good. No movement in the tool at all. It's lightweight and heavy, if you understand what I mean. That's it there. It's got the angles written on. The edges aren't sharp, not going to cut yourself like some of the cheap ones out there. Very nice tool.
