Hi, guys. I'm just going to do a quick review on the Wiha interchangeable screwdriver set. I believe this was a 16 piece set when I first got it. However, I have had it for about four years now and I've lost two of the pieces. But to start off with, it comes in a roll bag. It's very durable. The Velcro still works even over the years. You see it'll hold the handle and the bits inside. Comes with a little loop at the top. If you work in the workshop, you're all in one place, you can hang it up. Quite accessible there.
In terms of holding the pieces, the handle isn't very tight. I don't remember it being extremely tight when I first got it either. That could be an issue if it's fallen out. But once it's rolled up, it tends to stay in. The bits themselves, they stay in very well. Well, I have heard about people saying it's very difficult to get the bits in, but I've never had a problem myself.
The set comes with an assortment of flat pieces, posies, Phillips, Alan, and torques. And also, a little square piece. Let me see there. Oh, there you go. Which I've never had actually had to use but handy to having nonetheless. The handle itself feels good in the hand, nice size. It's exactly the same sort of handle as a typical Wiha screwdrivers as you can see. But yeah, good grip, fits nice in the hand.
It did come with a little sleeve that spun around to start with. When I first got it, I thought it was something for locking the actual bit in place, but all it done was spin. What I assume it was for is you could hold it and spin it in the hand. But over the years, I think it's got a bit of dirt inside, so it no longer spins unless you give it a real good go.
Holding the bits in place, there was a rubber O-ring in there. However, now due to a bit of abuse, it's fallen out. So nothing's held itself. But when the O-ring was there, it held the bit in nicely. Now as you can see, it just falls out, which is a bit of a shame.
Yeah, the O-ring only fell out due to a bit of abuse by myself using it as a hammer really, which ain't really the best thing for screwdrivers as a general. The bits themselves, they're all the slimVario bits, so all the way through. They're very durable from what I can tell so far. I've had this set for a while now and they all seem to be in good nick.
They are rather small, so I usually carry around a pouch when I'm on sites. And when I was using this predominantly, I put these little bits in the pouch and they tend to fall out if you're jumping off ladders and that. Again, doing things you're not supposed to do. Yeah, other than that, I can't really complain about it too much.
Without rambling overall, the set's very handy really. Especially if you're going in to check on some bits or you've only got a small job, they're handy to have with an assortment of screwdrivers. Yeah, overall I'll give it a good review, really. Okay. Thanks. Guys.
