I rate Worcester Bosch up there.

I know they arent every installers favourite but if ever theres a fault with one of their boilers they are the best company when it comes to customer service.

Im accredited which allows me to give extra warranty.

If the boiler is fitted correctly then you shouldnt have any of the common issues people complain about.

I used a man accredited installer through Boxt the guy came out and had an amazing history with the company, an intricate knowledge of the boiler it’s workings and was able to share this in laymen’s terms. I think is Worcester Bosch hold all their accredited installers to that standard they will have a very successful future

I only install WB if customer set on them, maintain quite a few reluctantly as awkward to work on.
Accredited status is basically if you fit plenty

My opinion of Worcester accredited installers locally to me does not fill me full of confidence.
I see a lot of poorly installed Worcester boilers in my local area and quite a few seem to be from accredited installers so I don’t anticipate Worcester do much to check on a engineer before allowing them to become accredited.
We does also have a couple locally who take pride in their work so take from that what you will.

Excellent support, guarantees and training. Only on Bronze level so scheme features a bit slim. Would be easier to move up the levels and benefit them if they included my level in referrals from the Worcester web site.

Being accredited is fine if you concentrate on just fitting Worcester Bosch, if like us you work with customers to get the best boiler for the budget it’s not always a Worcester, if you don’t hit Worcester’s targets your off the scheme. Which is a shame if you still fit their boilers, and recommend their products.

I can't fault the WAI scheme. They are always there to help, you get extened guarantees which sells itself and you can use your points for advertising. It sells it self. I wouldnt want to come off of it.

I have been in the industry for over 10 years now and where I did my apprenticeship we was only installing Worcester boilers, so when I decided to go self employed I chose to install Worcester boilers, so naturally I wanted to be a WAI, extra guarantee and better service with training courses included

This company has really looked after us as a small business since we setup & therefore I have great respect for that.
The training courses are excellent of high quality & very relevant to everyday working. We get leads from Worcester as we are listed on the 'Find an Installer' page of thier website.
The local rep & business development manager are in touch regularly to see if they can help which is brilliant really.

How do you become an accredited Installer as we have a long history of heating & plumbing in our area and often fit worcester boilers via our supplier ? This would be of interest and what is the cost as states value for money ?

This question does not have any answers, do you want to leave an answer?

What are requirements for this now and is it worth it? Been a while since I thought about fitting a WB but getting a little pissed off with my current supplier... specifically the local rep and looking for alternatives. What support are you getting from WB and at what do you need to install to get it? I keep hearing that the big installers are treated like gods but what about the 25-40 a year installer?

Answered on 7th April 2017 by DCB Plumbing & Heating

I am a Worcester accredited installer and as a sole trader I install 20/30 boilers a year and maybe 10 will be Worcesters, (that is mainly because of the price differences to my other boilers baxi)
You have to be trading for 1 year
You would start on bronze, after 12 installs you move to silver and after 25 (I think) you would move to gold.
In bronze you get nothing, you have to pay for extra guarantees (e.g. CDI + Bosch filter + comfort clock + £75 = 10 years guarantee)
In silver it goes down to £50 and gold you extra guarantee is free.
Be warned they will down grade your status without hesitation, doesn't matter who you think you are or how many installs you have done in the passed, if you stop installing as many you will be let go.
Hope that helps

Not sure why I can't hit reply but thank you DCB for that bit of feedback. How do you get on with Baxi? From what you said I am guessing you install 10-15 a year and you prefer then to WB. What is their installer network like?

Hiya, been setup as a limited company on me own now for well over 6 years and WBosch have always backed me as a one man band. Have always got on well with my area rep, which is key and we have at least 2 visits a year from the business development manager. Don't get me wrong if you don't ask these things you will be left alone but I'm a peat and therefore they help me out. My rep always helps out when needs be and is great at giving advice etc.
I started on Bronze which is installing 10 boilers a year but had to pay £80 for the extra warranty. I'll never pull up any trees on the numbers of boilers i install per year as my business strategy is not about that but i was only on bronze for a short while.
On silver i pay £40 for the extra guarantee which can now be up to 10years and puts me above others quoting in my area. It's never a cost that's noticed as it's built into the quote so i don't worry about it. I smash 25 easy each year but i don't stick to one boiler as we always quote on a bronze, silver & gold basis.
My advice is get in touch yourself with your rep & take it from there as it's down to them whether you become WAI or not. They won't accept anyone, your installs have to be good & you have to spend a day on training, no great shakes. They may not have capacity in your area for any more but if you want anymore hints or tips get me via Facebook, no bother.
The sales leads through their website are also good & free which is brilliant because as we all know, they spend millions on advertising.......
Good luck whatever you decide

Answered on 7th April 2017 by SAFGas Ltd

It meant to read ' I'm a pest ' not peat btw but i cant edit it!!!!!

Something else i forgot to mention was we are also able to offer 10 months interest free finance on WBosch installs which came out of one of our meetings with the business development manager so i think like life, your experience with them will be what you make it....... ✌
