Armeg build quality tools and I this is one of the best chisels ones I have used to channel out sockets. Been using this for nearly a year now and still going strong. Built to last without a doubt.

This channeling chisel is very good with block, brick is a little tougher and concrete is a no go.
Leaves a clean finish, ready to 1st fix cables.

I have had this channeling but for over 2 years now. When required it performs really well, cutting quickly, cleanly and concise. After multiple uses it still delivers time and again through various different hard walls. Leaving clean edges it makes the task of making good that much easier as well.

Bought as a bit of a impulse buy and have used a couple of times. Works great with softer bricks as expected. Handy bit of kit to have to use and can save time

These are great chasing bits but for the price I wouldn’t buy them again, you get just as good a result with a flat chisel and a grinder. They’re also great on soft brick but that’s about it.

Not exactly many features with a chaser but seems a shame to mark it down for a tool for one purpose.

It does it very well, solidly built, robust and easy to use.
I’ve a couple of sizes and I’m yet to replace any of them after some fairly heavy use.

These channeling chisels are amazing. The angle of the shaft makes it much easier to pry away brick and block. Plus it’s great for tidying up back of a hole you’ve just cut out using the box cutter.

I have all 3 of these in different sizes, brilliant but of kit, my favourite is the long narrow one as it makes life so easy chasing behind skirting boards. Would definitely recommend

Good tool. Bit pricey. Depending on wall material, it can leave wall in a mess. I quite often run down the wall with chaser then use this to clean it out. Left then with neat chases

I have one of these but struggle to get the best use from it. It’s not a neat chase and seems to make a mess of the wall. Maybe I’m using wrong?

A little expensive but worth every penny. Great for chasing out and lasts a long time, mine has taken a good beating and it's still chiselling well, not even sharpened it again after a year!

Big fan, use with an sds plus drill and works a charm, as mentioned by others might want to cut the sides before using for a neater finish

Good item to have, as with all Armeg products they are on the pricey side but you do get what you pay for, had one of these for a while until it went missing on site so i purchased a cheaper alternative, three cheaper alternatives later and i have gone back to putting my hand in my pocket and paying out for a genuine Armeg one, you do get what you pay for with this item and i highly recommend.

As an apprentice this thing was my best friend, ear defenders on and off I went. Will eventually get through any kind of brick, obviously much more helpful on the softer brick types. When using harder brick types o highly advise you grind away at the chase before using this tool. Quality it of kit though

As already mentioned needs greasing to prevent from snapping.

I use mine every day and can't imagine life without it. As others have said keep it greased. Ive got both sizes so very versatile. When paired with a decent wall chaser you could prep for a full rewrite. Sry quickly

Super chisel, gives a really fast, neat chase in plaster or block. As Glyn mentioned it is essential to grease the shank prior to use, or it will snap! I learned this the hard way, but was impressed enough to buy another one.

Very fast for cutting nice clean straight chases in plaster. You will need a good dust mask and plenty of dust sheets, because jeez, this chisel produces some fair old dust.
You will also need to stock up on grease. As per manufacturers instructions, the sds spigot needs regular greasing. The drill WILL snap in the chuck if not greased.
