A simple solution that saves a few minutes changing core bits between holes. It also reduces the chance of removing flesh when having to use spanners all the time.

I have only used this set a couple of times since purchasing so cannot comment on quality after years of use. However it is a great set I used to have a right nightmare getting the core cutters off the adaptors, with these you literally pull out the clip and remove such a simple design

I was recently sent out the quick core starter kit to test out from ToolTalk, I’m so glad they did as they absolutely made my day.
In short the are absolutely fantastic, no more fighting with stilsons/ spanner’s/ blow lamps/ hammers and a lot of abuse. Simply push out the clip and swap over with another core bit within seconds.
Absolutely clever idea, if you don’t already have them buy them

Cracking bit of kit. So handy and no more fighting with grips and spanner’s to get everything apart again.
I got them through a tooltalk deal after watching a promo video and will be buying a second kit for other core bits I use to save swapping still

Seen this promoted online and though it was a good idea I contacted quickcore and they told me which merchant was distributing it locally to me. It really makes taking the core off the drill to clean it easy and using the knock out bar it makes knocking the core out of the drill a lot less hard work I'll be getting additional adapters for my other cores only downside is it isn't compatible with my dust extraction kit.

Hello Tool Talk. I've been given a Quikcore Starter Kit and adapter set that initially was no good to me because I'm cheap and I bought a £20 bit set from eBay that didn't have normal universal thread on it. So I wised up, got a proper normal set. It fits. No problem. Didn't ever think that would be a problem but something to bear in mind if you're as tight as me. I did have a bit of a bias to the product before I got it because I honestly love the concept. I'm quite weak so it'll take me a good 10, 15 minutes after a decent size core just to prize the bit off the shaft itself. But I've attached my first impressions after having used it for the first hole, which admittedly was on a metre thick stone wall at a country cottage and it was pretty horrible. It took a little over a day all in all. So I've attached my raw first impression just after having used it for the first time, giving it a bit of a trial by fire. And hopefully you can see what you think.

So I've sent this bad boy through a ridiculous amount of stone wall and usually without the Quikcore bit, this would be absolutely be welded and fused in place. Like I haven't used it on the extension bit there. So I am only a little guy but that would be a ridiculous amount of effort. Sorry, customer just messaged me there on a drop down.

So let's give this a go. If I just pop out the retaining clip with a humble pen. Show you how easy it is. Boom. And that's it. Core bit's off. Whereas usually... Jesus Christ. That's going nowhere. And you can plug and play. Do it as many times as you want. Pop a new bit on. I wish I knew about these sooner to be honest. And I will be buying more of them to pop on all of my bit heads although I really only use hundred mil. They are very nifty. Can't get enough of that. Top marks for me. And I think that's probably even holding up better than the shank on my elbow.

Hi all. It's Scott here from SC Electrics, testing the Quikcore Kit for Expert Trades. In case you're wondering, I'm in the van because it's currently, well, bucketing outside, and very, very, very cold. I don't fancy doing this here outside. So I'll show you what we've got to start off with. It's quite simple stuff. We have three ends, a ring clip. I know it's not very easy to see here, I apologise. Our bar and, I think it's a holder for the bar, I'm not 100% sure, but that's what it seems to work as.

It's quite simple to use, really. I'll show you how this works. Quite simply, we have a few bits. We have this wee bit, which you can see the screw on the inside, to go onto our bar. Setting up's that easy, you screw it on. I almost set that end away from me. Like that. That's a pretty good fit, it's quite neat. This is a cheap core set, I don't core very often. I usually use Titan sets, which is rather usual. So it means we know it fits more than just standard expensive Marcrist or anything like that.

We go on, then, to our core. I get the joy today of the 4 inch core and the bucket it in. And the core has this bit here, as you can see. Right, screw it on that. And to put it together, it's very easy. This is what I like, there's no screw. No on screw and it clips like that. And then hold the face secure, the wee clip those in like that. It's very, very simple, there's not much effort required. Whenever you take it out, there's no more working them out with spanners, it's as simple as pushing in the wee clip. It's quite stiff, and to me, you might need a screwdriver take it out. I've actually find this works quite well. Push the cup out, which usually sends it flying about your van somewhere and you'll have to pick it up.

And just separate, and you can put that away. Ideally, you'd want one of these wee adapters for every one you use because to take that off would be quite difficult. That's the only downside I see about it but it's not too expensive to make that happen. Whenever you have to push, if you've got a core stuck in it, no more hitting with the hammer. Which is nice to your ears because it sounds like a bell. As you give it this wee adapter, this wee bit here. To go in. Along with the bar. Push it in if you have to or you can give it a whack. You give it a tap with a hammer, you can tap on the ground and out goes your core quite solidly.

So it's a nice wee set, I would never really have thought of getting this initially but I thought well, it's worth a try. I've seen it, I've used it, it seems quite good. But I must admit, actually, I actually do quite like it. Is it worth it? Yes and I might get and adapter for the other bits and other extension bits. Right, just finished using it. I must admit there's no real difference in the use of the actual core itself. It's just pleasant to use. I'd expect more the vibration from it but don't think I noticed any more than usual. Only problem I have found, it's not a show stopper, but it's bit of an inconvenience and I think most people find this here. Most core drill boxes are custom fit to the core drills.

Which means, that now the core drill box doesn't want to shut. Well, I'll soon get round it with another box, that's, to be honest, I never liked that box, it doesn't sit too well in the van anyway, it's an awkward shape. But just, it's a real small, minor thing. Might be worth considering if you're in love with a box that your core bits are in will this fit.

Hi there, my name is Andrew from ATR Plumbing and Heating, and this is my review of the Quikcore Starter Kit Set.

In the set, you receive your core adapter, your drill adapter, and you remove your pin to keep it in place, and your core removal kit. This is my normal setup for a core drill. You would tighten these together, but the problem is, after you've been coring for awhile, these tend to bind together, and they're very hard to get apart. You often have to use two spanners, stand on it, all kinds of things. With this set, it's a lot easier. As I say, you have your adapter, which goes into the core bit, and then this locks in place. You line up the holes, and then the pin goes through, and then your normal adapter will just go into this. The good thing about this is, it works with all my kit, like my extension bars, different adapters and things, so it retrofits everything.

Another good thing about it, which I noticed is with this extra piece here, my core is now 300mm, so it'll go through a standard 300 mm block wall, which is quite handy. What I'll probably do... This is my most common core bit, it's 4 1/2", for flues and soil pipes. I'll keep that in there, and then I'll probably get another one for my 1 1/2", which is the second most common one I use. Again, that can stay in there. Good kit, I like it. Definitely be used a lot.

The other thing it comes with, as I say, is the core removal tool, which is really good, because normally, to get a core out, you'd have to use... You'd be banging it down, hitting it with a hammer, using a flathead or a chisel, and that can be a nightmare, as well. But this tool here, this rod here, will push out the core. You'd put it there, hit your core, and then hit it with a hammer. That will push your core out. So yeah, all in all, it's a really good kit. Spot on.

Now then people, it's McCauley for SmartPipe Plumbing Services. Got a snow day today so we'll do a quick review on the Quikcore kit. Got sent over from Tool Talk TV, so do go check them out. Also, before we get started, go check myself out on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook, it's SmartPipe Plumbing Services.

So, Quikcore have come up with a system which a lot of people have been looking for for a long time. It makes life a lot easier while coring and when taking it apart, because we all know without this system, after you finished coring, it can be a nightmare to get the extension pieces and the pieces itself apart.

So basically they've come up with an idea that... of some clips that click together and can come apart fairly easily. So you've got the bit that goes into the arbor, into the actual core bit itself. So that just screws in there, as it would. Then you have the bit that goes into the extension, which screws onto the extension piece, and then two bits then push inside. And then with the clip just pushes in and holds them pieces together. They do wiggle a little bit, but not enough to cause any problems while coring.

I've been using this system for quite a while now and I haven't gone back since. Simply come apart by just pressing up on there, you can see how tight that is to get it off. There's no way that's coming off while you're drilling, then they come apart. Just leave them on to the extension piece and the actual core bit itself and you're all good to go for next time. They also have sent out the punch, the knock... what do they call it now? The knockout tool, which, when you knock the bit of brick out or stone out of the core piece, you take it off the clip, put this piece inside there, and you've got your bar, put your bar inside. Hammer that straight up there, knock the brick straight out. Not a problem.

I do recommend these. Really good bit of kit, so do go check them out, Quickcore.com. If you have any questions you can ask myself or inquiries at inquiries@quickcore.com. They'll be able to help you out over there. The only one thing that I would change about it is just an easier way to get these apart, get the clip out. I know they've got to make it so it's strong so it stays in, but sometimes it can be a bit hard to get out, especially when it's a cold day and your fingertips are hurting a little bit after coring. But other than that, really good bitting kit, wouldn't change anything else. Definitely recommend, go and check them out. All right guys, peace.

Hi guys, Black Country Al here from Fitzgerald Electrical and Plumbing Solutions doing a quick review on Quikcore. Some bits that I've been sent from Expert Trades. Right, what it is is a quick way to remove cores when core drilling. Everybody hates core drilling and removing cores from your tools because it ain't the best and easiest job. What this kit does is you get a couple of adapters. One goes on your extension bar like so, the other... Whoops, goes into your core. Again, like so, then that simply slots onto there, and you get this little clip that clips in and then when you want to remove that core, pop the clip out, take that off and then you switch it for your other core bit.

You would have to remove this from your other core but what I'm planning to do is I've ordered three or four more of these guys. So I can adapt them to each core. So every time I want to change a core, it's a matter of just popping this out and then change your core bit. Simple as. It also comes with a knockout, which is quite a clever idea. So when you've done your... When you're coring, you've got a big piece in there, a big piece of material in there that's cored out. Get this rod, slide it in there, knock it through, knocks out the material from inside which is a great piece of kit.

So yeah. So if you're thinking of getting one, or getting the kit obviously the more cores you've got, the more of these guys you need. So I'd suggest getting two or three of these, three at least if you've got three different... I use three different size cores, sometimes four. So I've ordered another three or four to these. All right. Thanks very much.

I'm going to review the quick core starter kit. Thank you Tool Talk for sending me this tool too review. In the kit you get a drill adapter and the core adapter, along with the knockout tool and the clip for fixing the two adapters together. I've only had a chance to use this tool a couple of times, due to Christmas not being at work, but already love it. So much so I've already ordered the rest of them, to cover the rest of the core drill kit that I have.

It's as simple as setting your kit up with, get your core a bit, put the adapter in there. Once it's in stays in, never need to take that back out. That end, you will either put on your extension bars, but you also need one to stay on the core drill. To use it all you need to do is line up these two little holes, get your clip that comes with it, clip it together. Job done, you're good to go.

When you've finished, just clip that clip back off, it is quite tight, but it needs to be. At this stage you core will be full of what you're drilling. Knockout tool, put that little adapter in the end, use this and just give it a good push and that'll push out, your brick, your block, whatever you've been drilling. Simple as that.

Good thing about these, it does still accept your standard pilot bit, that came with your core set. It is quite expensive for what it is, but it's a great time saver. Stops you rapping your knuckles with your spanners, always a win-win. Once everything's set up, there's nothing else to do.

You've also got the added bonus there. I've sometimes been about an inch short of getting right through the wall and then you have to take it off, have another extension bar just for the sake of it. With those on your actually gaining about two inches on your standard extensions. My setup now, I've got one on the drill, a single extension, double extension, and a triple extension. You can even put them on together if you need too. These adapters as I say you can use from 38mm up to 152mm core bits. With the 38mm you do have to be careful, the size of this clip is only fractionally smaller than the 38mm bit. They do state this on the website, it's a bit of a warning. Drill carefully, because if this comes into contact with the wall, it will do damage and it will be knackered, you'll have to get some more, simple as that.

To sum up, it's a handy invention, surprised it wasn't brought out a lot earlier to be honest with you. Simple, effective, great time-saver, ideal for plumbers, heating engineers. And it's great when you're drilling multiple sized holes on the same job. So you can switch from your 38 to your 52, 51, 127. Anything you want, quick change within seconds. You're off to drill the next hole. Thank you.

Hello there. I'm Lee from iGas Heating Limited. Today I am going to be talking about the QuikCore drill adapter kit on behalf of Expert Trades and Tool Talk.

QuikCore was designed... Basically when like myself, I do a lot of flues and stuff. I'm a heating engineer, so I'm called in for flues, condense runs, things like that. Normally when I core a hole, obviously the brickwork stays inside my actual core itself, and then to get it out you've given it a whack with a hammer, trying to get screwdrivers. Some of them have holes around the core where you can get a screwdriver in and try wedge and it out, stuff like that, which I don't know if you, but with me personally, I find it a bit of a nightmare. Can be a right pain to be fair.

This is designed to take that pain away. Basically it comes with this attachment, which is the Quikcore knockout tool. So this actually sits inside behind the core drill adaptor. You just put that in it, give it a whack with a hammer and it pops it straight out. It's a really good design.

And it's all designed with quick release clips and stuff like that. So again, normally when I'm attaching my core to my normal core drill adapter, obviously you screw that in there. And then if you've been coring for a good 20 minutes or whatever, this can become really stiff and get stuck in there, and then you've got to get spanners and grips and things like that on it, to actually get it undone, which again can be a nightmare and a bit of a pain to actually get out.

Just show you how it all goes together. This is your normal just core drill attachment. I use mine in my cordless SDS. I've got Milwaukee SDS. This obviously just goes straight in the chuck, and then my core will go on to the end of that.

What Quikcore actually have, they have a Quikcore drill adapter. So you get your normal attachment. This screws onto here as normal, just like that. Nice and simple. I don't know if you can see that hole there? I'll talk to you about that in a second. You then get your Quikcore core adapter. This just slides over, yeah? And as you can see, there's the holes there. You then get a circlip, you put the circlip in there. Pop it on. Nice and easy, nice and quick. And then you attach your core to that normally. If I can screw it in properly.

Obviously you put your pilot in there, core your hole. And then, like I said, normally what you have to do to get the core out, you got to undo this part of the attachment. This bit obviously isn't normally there. This and this are joined together. You've got to undo it. Try and give it a good bang with a hammer to get the brick out. This is actually designed to eliminate that problem.

Now, the only negative I've found, I'm not sure if I'm actually doing this incorrectly, or if I'm missing a tool. These circlips are quite hard to get out, but one thing I've just noticed myself, I use the knockout tool, so once I've done my core, put my knockout tool in the actual, just to punch hole there. Give it a few bangs and that comes straight out. This then slides off. Yes, you've got your core drill adapter on it, on the end of your core. You then get your knockout tool, put that in there. That slides in there. And then you just give this a knock with a hammer. And that, I don't know if you can see that? That actually pushes the core out and it works really well.

That's pretty much it to be honest, guys. It's really simple to use, not bad in price to be fair, either. And it does take away that pain of having to undo this and giving this a whack with a hammer all the time, trying to get your actual bit of concrete or brick out of the hole.

Overall, I think it's really good. It feels really well made. Again, the only negative is them circlips are quite stiff to get out. I tried to do it by hand first and it just didn't happen. So I use this knock through tool, and it punches it out in about four punches. So, yeah. Nice and quick, nice and easy.

Hope you've enjoyed the video and yeah, it's a thumbs up from me. It's a good product and I will be getting one myself.

11th November 2020

Hello there. My name's Jamie, I'm a heating engineer. And today I'm going to be doing a Tool Talk Review on behalf of Expert Trades on a product called the Quikcore. But before I go into that, I want everybody to just imagine the pain that they've all, we've all experienced it, when it comes to getting these off the core bit to change size. I've tried all kinds of different things at the minute, a bit of PTFE kind of helps, but we've all been there with two spanners and I've tried heat, everything. It's a pain in the ass. It puts me off coring with diamond bits. I'd rather just get a big SDS out and smash the hole through than faff around trying to do that. It got to a point that actually I bought a load of these extensions, just to live permanently on the core bits.

But not anymore, because now we have something called the Quikcore and it consists of a few different components, but the gist of it is it's got a little clip on it that you just pop off, bear with me, you just pop off, like so, to be able to change the size. So you can faff around getting these off, but really, you're better off just getting a few of these to live on your core bits and then they just stay on there, that just stays on the extension bar, and it's a case of literally just clipping it together, getting this clip which holds it in place, popping it on and away you go.

The only thing that I can possibly foresee going wrong is that the core bit is, it could be... The size less than this might actually cause a problem when hitting the wall here. This might get damaged over the long run, but so far so good. So imagine the pain that you feel and then imagine doing your core, popping this off, swapping it over, away you go. So, that's the Quikcore. This is a Tool Talk Review on behalf of Expert Trades. My name's Jamie. Thanks for watching. Take care. Bye-bye.

29th September 2020

So we've got here the new Quikcore. So we've got the traditional, as we all know, chucks. So they all come together screwed. But as we all know, it's a nightmare to get them back off and we have all sorts of things to pry them back off, but apparently these new Quikcores have these little pins that stops them needing that, so we're going to have a quick look at it, get it all set up, drill a hole and see what difference it makes.

All right, guys. Dan here from SIA Property Services. I'm just doing a quick review for Expert Trades on the Quikcore. I know that's what on my lens with a front facing camera, but yeah, it's the Quikcore drill adapter for your core bits.

So what we have is the adapter into your existing core bits. Then we have the ... where'd I put the right one? That's the adapter the other way. So that slides in, that lines up. You have your little split pin that will go through, hold your drill bit in. And then onto that is your existing chuck. And then just put it in place and we're good to go.

So yeah, I want to whip a quick hole in, and I'll get back to you in a second, and we'll see how easy it is to release afterwards.

All right, so just gone through it and as you can see, a nice new drill bit, now you can see the paint has pulled off it. But now just pop the pin out, and off we go, onto you're next hole. The core's came out the other side so there's no need to knock out, but you don't have a knockout pin for knocking the old piece out.

But yeah, all of them does make it quick. Going to need a few adapters if you use different sizes regularly. I don't particularly, so probably two adapters will do it for me. But yeah, like it says on the tin, Quikcore. And I'll be good. Good to go with them. So yeah, I have to say, making life a little bit quicker.

It is another little set up. That is the only downside to it. There's another little setup to get a few of them for your different core bits if you do use different ones regularly. But if you're just mainly on four inches, if you're a plumber doing boilers and you got a four-inch setup all the time, it does make life a little bit quicker. Cool. Cheers, Expert Trades for setting me up with these. I'm going to keep using them and keep you informed how I get on going forward. Cheers.

29th September 2020

Hi there. I'm Dave Armstrong. My company's D.A Gas, Heating and Plumbing and today I'm doing a Tool Talk review for expert trades. The product we're reviewing today is the Quikcore and the idea in this simple little product is to save you time and effort when on site coring holes. What you get is a couple of Quikcore adapters, and you also get the drill adapters. You get these bits here that you screw onto your extension bar, and then they stay on them. Once they're on, you leave them on. You're not taking them off with spanners every time.

And the idea is that then goes obviously onto your drill. And then that end simply goes onto the other adapter, which is already on your core bit, which again, you don't remove. That goes on there like that. Simply push fit and there's some holes you line up. Once you've lined those up, you grab the clip with the rod, push that on, and then that is on there. It's not going anywhere. The idea being that when you want to change your core, you just take that clip off. I would say it's a little bit difficult to get off. I use the little bar you get for getting the drill bit out. And that seems just to work just as well to pop it off.

He says. There we go. That's off. Core bit off, put your different sides, core bit on, if you want to go again with a different core. That's one section of it. The other bit you get is the knock out tool. Which to be honest, I think this is probably one of the best bits about it. I mean, we've got a bit of insulation stuck in there. This is actually from a previous job. But you put the rod through, you get this adapter on the back. You slide that up to the end and you'd knock that through until it knocks your core out. I mean, so there's no more bashing away trying to get the core out before we can go again. I think this knock out tool is a great little idea to be fair. That would definitely be staying in the bag.

I love the idea of these clips and I said, they're a little bit stiff to pop off. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. But overall, I mean, once you set all your cores up with these, I mean, how easy is that? You good to go. Time-saving, effort saving. Overall I think it's a really good product. The only thing I would say is obviously there's loads of bits. You want to buy all these adapters that screw on to your cores. Probably you want to buy three or four to go into your most common ones. And then you got to keep them safe. Because obviously with all these bits, if you just chuck them in a bag, they're going to get lost. You'll probably want to get a core box. It might be some memory foam and some cutouts or something. There you go. That's me, Dave Armstrong for my Tool Talk review.
