I previously only ever used Fernox F5 but this has now been discontinued and Fernox F8 is the replacement according to my supplier.
I’ve been using this for over 6 month and so far so good. I usually pre dose the system with this a few days before flushing if possible and it does most of the work for you. I can’t really tell the difference in terms of strength between this and F5, both have cleared blocked 10mm plastic when double dosed and hot flushed so it’s pretty strong stuff. It’s self neutralising but be sure to flush it all out on completion and check PH levels although until your happy it’s all gone.
Im not sure why Fernox have confused their range by dropping the F5 for this, I still prefer the F5, bigger bottle and it seemed better value for money.
