Switched from anton and found this much better to use and it even has a torch for dimly lit areas.
The only issue for me is that it does a 90 second purge in start up which is annoying at times but you soon get used to turning it in earlier.

The Kane 458 flue gas analyser is very easy to use. You can link it to your phone to send test results which is a great bonus. Re calibration is quick and effortless

A great basic domestic analyser for the money, has its issue but you get what you pay for. Next time I'll be going for Testo unless they improve the overall standard.

This Review is for both the analyser and the company, I will start by saying that the Analyser is fantastic. Very easy to use and has been very reliable for me. The AUX page is fantastic as i can choose the order of the readings and which readings i want to see.
But the high light of this review is the how great the customer service is from KANE, there service turn around is 2nd to none

What a excellent piece of equipment to have as a gas engineer, works great , I’ve had no issues with it.
Had it serviced not that long ago with Kane and the turn around was three days and that included sending off , service and returned. Great service

Kane analysers are by far the market leader in flue gas analysis equipment.
Recently sent mine back to head office for recalibration, posted on a Friday afternoon & returned to me by Tuesday morning pre 10 am.

Always will give Kane full marks. As a company they always do top quality products. I have used Kane for at least 12 years and have had various analysers. They have never let me down. Also for calibration are really quick at turning it around. Just brilliant.

I’ve recently just bought one of these, it was to upgrade my 10 year old 250, which was still working. Kane is a great company to deal with and got a great price through Twitter. Love now that all the reading are on the one screen. And it’s faster printer.

Has to be the best Kane yet. I often get called out to boilers that have had the gas valve messed with. My old 455 used to get swamped with co. The secondary pump in the 458 stops this happening. I also like the commissioning mode.

Doing a little review here on the Kane 458. Great bit of kit. I've just replaced this boiler. This is a brand new header just gone in. I was here last Friday. Put it into a boiler, it was suspected of having high parts per million, high CO. Put it in, the Kane actually has a built in pump to protect itself from any issues, so if you put it in, CO is too high, automatically shuts off. Brilliant bit of kit. Actually saved it, because the parts per million in the old boiler were 3000, so ended up cutting it off.
Keeps a lot of different things. You can go right through your emissions test through it and do a printout on the whole thing. It's reliable, it seems to be really sturdy, as you can see by the state of my one. I've had it over a month and a half now, going great. Clear, easy to read screen. Everything's there. You can actually customise this screen to put on whatever you want, so I've gone for ratio, CO, CO2 and excess air, for me. So I'm going to give the Kane 458 two thumbs. Nice one.
