Now you can see what you are doing when detecting AC voltage, even in dark or low-light conditions. The vibrant LED lights provide easy interprettion and viewing of voltage strength. The bright flashlight is practical enough to be used as a stand alone tool. With the NCVT-3, you don’t have to be left in the dark! Non-contact detection of 12 – 1000V AC in cables, cords, circuit breakers, light fixtures, switches, outlets and wires as well as doorbells, thermostats, low voltage lighting and irrigation systems.
Simultaneous visual and audible voltage indicators.

Bar graph visual voltage indicator utilizes five vibrant LEDs for easy interpretation/viewing of voltage strength.
The audible voltage indicator beeps at a greater frequency the higher the voltage that is sensed, or the closer it gets to the voltage source.

Ive gone through 2 of these and no idea why they died. Only lasted a couple of months a piece, the first one I guessed was just poor luck as I love the quality of all other Klein tools. Sadly Im not going to be buying another one as my old fluke volt pen has outlasted both of these. Also an annoying quirk that I kept on turning itself on in my pocket and picking up voltage like a pedometer every time I took a step.

I got this little tester from my local wholesaler when they had an offer and is a great little thing works well feels nice and has a little torch which is a bonus

I got this detector on a deal at CEF, But i must say i kept switching it on in my pocket and kept draining the battery which made it unreliable , the Fluke from Screwfix i highly reccomend.

Its a simple tool, major downside is i always manage to turn it on in my pocket, I cant say I had this issue with the fluke one. However, still always keep one in my kit bag so would still recommend

Was amazed how sturdy this felt in the hand also ergonomic shape to it rather than just a round body and a nice robust pocket clip to and unlike other non contacts I have used in the past you can turn this one on and off all so give a ruff estimate of how high the voltage is has a very hand torch built it to which has a separate on and off switch unlike l the fluke ldv2 also has a sound indicated as well as lights was very impressed with the over all design and feel of this tool have dropped it several times and it is dust and waterproof to ip67 standards

Brilliant peice of kit, easy to use seems better than the megger volt stick. Pen light very usefull and very bright. Little bit more expensive than the megger or fluke volt stick but seems better value for money with the features it has.

I have just received this has a free gift but haven’t used it yet a colleague of mine has one when he first had it. It worked great then it stopped working it would turn it self off and not pick anything up but sent it back to Kline and had a replacement and touch wood it’s been fine

Amazing voltage detecter with a real bright torch, better than any other I’ve used I’ll definitely recommend.

Best on the market?? Currently using a classic fluke stick but not overly impressed with its accuracy or sensitivity.

Ended up buying it and 20x better than my fluke stick (Lvd2 I think)
So much more sensitive, will trace live cables through walls >30mm deep and has a useful switchable AC/DC function.
Auto shut off is helpful but only necessary because it constantly turns itself on from in my tool bag.
I’d recommend buying these in a blister pack alongside Klein side cutters for great value.
