Ledlenser H7.2 LED Headlamp
The Ledlenser H7.2 LED headlamp makes light work of any hands-free illumination task, providing superior comfort and excellent light distribution for the user. At maximum strength its advanced premium LED light chip will beam strong white light up to 160 metres away but it can be focused right down to provide a broad circular beam of 250 lumens for near illumination. The H7.2 features the patented spot to flood beam Advanced Focusing Optics, which keeps the light even and homogenous at either end of the light scale and there are no distracting rings or dark spots in the transition between one and the other. This is complemented by the enormously useful Smart Light Technology, offering up to 5 light options (Boost, Power, Low Power, Dim, Signal) spread over 3 pre-set light programs. These are all controlled by a clever Dynamic ‘Wheel’ Switch - a simple turn or click of which will deliver the option required. A ‘Low Battery’ warning light, a transport lock to stop accidental battery discharge, upgraded light tilt mechanism and superior robust cabling, are all welcome additions too. The H7.2 is a step up in safety and comfort. The battery pack and light head compartment are both contoured to fit snuggly around any head shape. Additionally, the reverse of the light head compartment is lined with a skin-friendly PU-foam which adapts itself to every user. The adjustable ‘twin-forked’ headband design is so comfortable that users will forget they are wearing a headlamp at all. The Ledlenser H7.2 once again reinforces Ledlenser’s reputation as innovators and leaders in LED lighting for professionals. I have used various brands of head torch over the years and this one is worth every penny, perfect for in a loft or when trying to change bath taps etc . It wasn’t the cheapest head torch but it is by far the best one I’ve used

I’ve used loads of head torches over the years but this is by far the best. It’s relatively pricy but the batter and light quality definitely make up for it.

If a quality, bright and comfortable head lamp is needed you can't go wrong with this one. Mine has been dropped, stood on and was once left outside in all weathers for two weeks and it refuses to die.

The first one I bought was short lived, it broke where the lamp hinges. I bought the rechargeable one, I've had it years, brilliant. No pun intended. The elastic doesn't last long though.

I have headtorch on most of the time when working and rate LED Lenser as the best brand I’ve used - but I was disappointed with this model. The light output was ok but the construction was a bit flimsy and it didn’t last that long before the battery housing was broken.
I still rate led lenser as the best I’ve used but other models are much better and tougher

Very bright light that can be angled to suit. Use it for working inside boilers where I need to light up what I'm looking at. Robust quality and batteries last ages, head harness adjusts even to the biggest of heads.

A year ago I upgraded from a smaller led lenzer to this model and had nothing but trouble with it. When not being used the batteries would still discharge. So quickly that within 5 days of it sitting idol from fully charged, it would be dead.
I should of had it changed but left it too late as I kept blaming the lock feature (to stop switching on by mistake). The light when fully charged was as fantastic. I hated the wheel on back as it was far too easy to press and hold which lead to changing settings.
I will be keen to get the next instalment which I’d hope don’t have these stupid features that very few people want.
I will say that I’m sure led lenzer would have exchanged it for me and that’s my fault but all the same, I had a very poor product for the price it cost.

I couldn't do my job without a head torch due to being under boilers in awkward places, airing cupboards etc.
Having had probably 20+ head torches over the years, I'm glad to say I have finally found a brilliant one.
The light is bright & the battery life is excellent considering I may have it on for quite a few hours sometimes.
I don't throw it about but it lives in my tool bag with other metal tools & it seems to be holding its own so far where as previous head torches have fallen apart.
It's easy to use and the fact you can have a bright light or REALLY bright light is superb. I'm not recharging my rechargable batteries as much with this one either.

I recently aquired this head torch and whilst I think its a great bit of kit, it's not practical for the work place.
The battery and adjustment dial at the back of the head is bulky and I found myself changing the brightness by knocking the dial in a confined space. The btightness is great but wouldnt advise using it for work.

My son who is an electrical engineer was rewiring an old school loft which meant stripping out old cables. There was absolutely no power supply whilst doing this. The head torch was invaluable it has different power functions for brightness etc, also very light and comfortable to wear. He said that it was the best piece of kit he had for such a job. After being on full power for 5-6 hours the batteries were draining so he'd suggest having spare batteries if going to be using continues for a long time. Would definitely recommend this model.

Hi, Scott Priddey from SAFGas Ltd. And I'm just about to do a review for Expert Trades.
Tool Talk.
Today's Tool Talk is going to be, if you haven't guessed already, about my very useful head torch. As a heating engineer, you get under some boilers, in area cupboards, in some very dark places you can't always see the fittings and it's quite crucial you get ... for misters, you start it into the right holes, the electrical connections into the right hole, so this, I literally use it more or less all day every day.
Having gone through quite a number of head torches, I got this through a competition I won with Expert Trades quite a while ago, so I'm just gonna show you some of the features.
As you can see, I'm pressing the button on the top. That's that button there. It's currently in what's called the travel lock. Press and hold the button for five seconds to put it into travel lock or out of travel lock. It's now on and I've got it so it comes on dim, then a little brighter, and then turns it off. There's three settings on this and it's all controlled by the button at the back. This button at the back, it moves and you press it in, that's the reason for the travel lock, because sometimes, before I knew it had a travel lock, I'd open my van door and the light would be on.
When I actually read the instructions and found out there was a travel lock, it was because this button was resting on something and it turned the head torch on. I'll explain how.
At the moment, I've got it set so it comes on dim. It can be brighter, and then turn it off. There's a button at the back, which turns to turn the brightness up or down or you can press it in, and that's why it's got travel lock, because I've opened the van door, in the past, the LED or the head torch has been on, and the reason being is that the up button has been pressed in on something in my tool bag and has turned it on.
If I press and hold that button for five seconds, it's now changed the sequence. So what's happening now, we've got three of these sequences, it's coming on bright, then dim and then off, so it switched it right. So if I press the button again for five seconds, this is for the cyclists.
So now, it's changed the sequence to on, and flashing. Disco! And off. So it's bright, flashing, and off. And then if I press it again for five seconds, it will now revert to the third setting, which is my favoured setting, which is dim. Like me. Dim. Bright. Off.
So, if it's on dim, I can then turn it up or down if I want at the back, if it's bright, I can turn it up and down at the back and it's also got the feature where you can zoom in and zoom out. So just to show you, because the light was on, where are we? There. That is turning, it's turning off. Now it's turning and that comes down to a finer point and back out again.
This is the LED Lensor H72. Well worth the money. All adjustable straps. This one has got re-chargeable batteries, so I bought eight batteries in total, with a re-charger, always carry some ... having trouble there. Kill this bit as well, Harry. I'm on the wrong end.
So this one is re-chargeable batteries, so there's four AAA batteries, so you just pop off the bottom and get in there. I bought eight batteries and a re-charger, all at the same time, so I'm never without my head torch, if these batteries go, I've got a set of re-charged batteries in my pocket. I'm rambling on, I can see it's nearly six minutes or so, so the LED Lensor, where is it? LED Lensor H72.
