Bought this recently and love it . Makes my job so much easier . No cord , cuts through holes like it’s going through butter . You only realise how poor other drills are until you use one of these . Awesome drill and highly recommend.

This is a serious bit of kit and delivers much more than it should.
Handles 5.5mm holes as you’d expect no problems in any materials. Drilling through walls for cables etc, handles small holes up to 20mm with ease in any materials and will go up to 32mm in block happily.
I’ve even used it for 4” core drilling, which it managed well enough, although I wouldn’t advise this.
All in all a very good drill.

I need to drill more holes with my job now, and my old hammer drill was starting to feel the strain. Bought this as I have batteries for a drill, drive set. First impressions is how solid and serious a bit of kit it is. Fitted an SDS bit and it drills holes into solid masonry with ease. Have had no use for the chiselling feature so far, but if I did, it would cope with this no problem. A serious drill and if you already own some Makita 18V batteries, then a cost effective way of getting a serious masonry drill in your armoury.,

A very good sds. Does what it’s supposed to do. Never had a problem with these. Only down side is that it is a little long if needing to get into small spaces. The newer brushless dhr242 is better for this

No more lugging leads on site or dragging a transformer down the road, brilliant for handing radiators or even sending a 16mm drill bit through masonry

Bought this to replace my old drill which I only ever used for shower tray inspections, it has a lot of torque so has no problem getting through anything you put this drill too
