Review for Mercedes Vito by Hobson Plumbing & Heating

Had my Vito for a year, upgraded to a bigger van the the fact I had a caddy before and it was always breaking down so needed something reliable. The main problem with this is the bulk head been at a angle so you can’t get racking all the way flush nice van but lacks storage.

Great van for what I paid for them, automatic so very easy to drive, the only downside is the parking sensors are unreliable, great on fuel and carries a good payload, having twin sliding doors is a bonus.

Cab space is very small, had to go to London and back in it for 6 months with 2 others and felt awful when getting out at every service station. The back of the van is more accommodating

Good van, shame that they haven’t exactly thought out the cab space and not many places to store kit, weirdly the brand new vans don’t have a full size cup holder which is pretty annoying!! Got plenty of potential space but it seems like they rushed the design through of them to get them on sale rather than thinking more carefully about it all, bit of a shame as it’s got potential to be brilliant.
We have a twin door which is makes it easy to access kit, but again, little things like they haven’t really thought about the location of the spare wheel so it’s mounted in the rear rather than underneath like most other vans and takes up valuable space. Such a shame

A really nice van and solidly built. There are a few nicks here and the like my tailgate being slightly off center but otherwise good. Without spending over £33k you won't have a huge amount of good options however more than pleasant to go on a long drive in.

I jumped ship from the vw transporter to the Vito. My 1st one did 150 000 no problems. My current is the extra long wheel base . 3 m lengths can slide in without cutting or having any flaps into the cab. Came with parking assist , reversing camera. I’m 6.4 and I have sufficient leg room. Fuel economy is excellent.

love my Vito, its 10 years old now, done many miles before i got it, its a compact version with seats (Dualiner) Auto with cruise control. not bad mpg, easy to drive, does'nt cost much in maintenance considering its age. Can get all my gear inside, even taken rear seats out to sleep in. Great Van!

Got this after a vivaro, a night and day difference.
A joy to drive, very comfortable, good on fuel.
I’m often off all around the country and it takes me there every time.
And with mobilo van the extra piece of mind helps.

Absolutely love my Vito hands down the bes van i’ve ownned or driven.

So comfortable the suspension is fantastic and man it’s quick and certainly has the pull when you need it.

Driver comfort seats are great also.

Negatives for me is the features just about everything is an extra compared to the likes of a transit where as everything comes standard on them. I also think the hands free is terrible can hardly hear on it at times, in my transit half the street could here my convos it was that loud.

I suppose you would expect this from a premium brand ( not the hands free ) but still feel they could change their ways on this, if they did I think you would see most tradesmen in Britain in Mercedes

I have a 119 sport 2016! Absolutely the best van out there! Also have transits and transporters, not a touch on the Vito! Really pleased with it, and the service from Merc, MK.

Lovely van to drive, front suspension almost feels like air suspension, very comfortable over bumps. The van price compared to features is a bit poor but you expect that from a premium brand.

Great vans as you can expect from a German manufacturer. Cab is nice with comfortable seats and arm rest (optional). Haven’t had a problem with one yet. Very spacious for a mid size van.

Brought a vito xlwb in October. I wanted a van which I can store 3m lengths of pipe inside without having to open a hatch and slide under the passenger seat. This van fits all my pipe and tools in with ease. I went for a basic van. But still the quality is excellent. Cruise control and Bluetooth come as standard, which is good for them long journeys. Overall a great van so far.

I have now been driving Vito's for 11 years now love them. Yes the first one 54 plate did have some warranty work for rust spots but that issue has been resolved. Very comfortable van to drive even on log journeys. I will buy another when the time comes

Excellent little van assuming they have fixed the rust issue! Surprisingly roomy and very reliable. A little overpriced if you want features like satnav but mine did 160k with no major issues except rust.
