Hello everyone, Lee from iGas Heating Limited, just doing a tool talk review on behalf of Expert Trades and Monument Tools, today I'm going to be talking about the Monument Olive Puller. Obviously you go and change things like rad valves, I'm going to do a TRV now. It's got a horrible old brass nut on it, ancient olive. So I want to renew it with the new rad valve that's actually going on to the pipework. You can get olive splitters sometimes you can't always get them in. Or if the nut is too close to the pipe, you can't push the nut back far enough to actually expose the olive. So that's where this olive puller comes in. All in one unit it's 15mm and 22mm comes with a little Tommy bar. So you can turn it, but I find the best thing about it, in the updated version is actually got this hex connection, which goes straight in your sort of impact driver, if you like. So that's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna show you it in action.
First of all this is a 22mm connection. This is a 15mm nut. So take the 22mm piece off, wind this bit down. So just to expose the pipe, that's what actually connects onto your nut yeah, so it's just a 15mm thread that goes on the end of a 15mm nut that is obviously behind your olive. I don't know if you can see that that's the actual olive puller connected to the nut that was on the red tail. So the olive is still in that nut. I've taken the tommy bar off. There's a hex connection on the top. Just going to place the camera down, because what you do need to do is when you're actually turning the drill or impact driver, just hold onto the nut.
Just like this and all you do is tighten it and that's your nut and olive off. Yeah. Nice clean pipe.Easy as that. Yeah. That's how easy it is to use. Overall i think this is a really good product, not expensive at all. I've got olive splitters if you like, the Monument ones that are like jaws. They're great. And they have their uses, but sometimes, like I say, you can't get the nut further back enough to actually get the cutters on there. So the next thing is the Monument puller, all made of brass, feels absolutely solid and yeah, really good product. Thanks for watching.
