Monument 2166M TRV Tail Driver Fitting Socket

How i went without this tool for so long long i do not know.
I know must of us plumbers will use a spanner or ratchet spanner to fit rad tails but slap this on the combi drill and let fly especially if you have a few rads to do. Saves me soo much time

This is abit of a cheat code and only really useful if your on price. My Monday mornings used to be making up the rads as a youngster but with this you will be done before the tea goes cold. Avoid if on day rate.

Great tool, makes fitting radiators quicker and easier. A few reviews mention about being careful not to cross thread, I haven’t had this problem, but I use loctite 55 and leave the first thread free to screw in the rad tail by hand first. Works for me!

Excellent time saving piece of equipment, especially when working on site, makes dressing radiators quick and easy ( make sure not to cross thread the valve tail when installing ), Fits standard drills.

Had this quite a while now, makes fitting radiator tails a lot quicker.

Be careful not to start it cross threaded.

If swapping radiator valves in situ then I go back to my 5/8” ratchet spanner if the radiator is too close to the adjacent wall as you cannot fit drill in.

Strong sturdy build. Not expensive, worth the money.

Can't believe I've only recently bought 1 of these, massive time saver. Fits a wide range of radiator tail, could do with a new version for the internal tails like on towel rad valves too. Fits in any standard drill or also in a ratchet/ring spanner. Gets a good grip on the valve tail without marking it

worth every penny. I have had this for a year now and fitted over 100 radiators without a single scuff mark, I use it with a 10mm ratchet spanner

it does exactly what its meant to do, and it saves time and saving time means saving money.

I find these really good when you have a lot of radiators valves to do. It half the time fitting the valves tails to radiator. And a lot easier that using a spanner

Awesome bit of kit good for putting tails in and auto wrapping PTFE tape onto the tail (bet you hadn’t tried that before!) best used with the mistral 2 self seal tails I find as they seat well against the face. NOTE: this won’t work with tails that have the nut & olive on already such as Danfoss etc. So make sure to check that first. Still 5* because not their fault.

Ideal tail driver works with any drill or ratchet and socket. Fast removal tool and installation. My apprentice loves it so I suppose I will have to get him one now. Usual Monument quality and although I had mine for some time still not showing signs of wear. Brilliant.

So any half decent plumber will know about this driver, makes a slow job super quick, plus it doesn’t slip and mark up the tail, I personally would use anything else. It’s the new standard.

This is one of those tools, that you don't know how good it is until you have one. It is a great idea and a real time saver. Such a simple idea but a really good one.

Simple must have when dressing reads what you need to ask your self is what don’t you already have one I’ve got 3 just Incas I loose one!

Excellent time saver for radiator installs , I used to use an adjustable spanner but as the saying goes ‘time is money’ this tool definitely helps speeds things up

What a fantastic tool, couldn't imagine building rads up without it. It's got to be 1 of the best plumbing inventions I've ever come across. Excellent value for money & top quality!

i used to use spanners which I found which was a bit to slow, for me time is the most important thing to me and these things get things done quicker than anything else, depends how fast your drill is

Very good if you have multiple rads to do .Built quality is good .Mine got stolen as it was in my drill case and I will be buying another one

use this quite a bit , stick mine in a ratchet and it doesn't let me down for a fast remove of radiator tails for the price its mint, would prefer a coloured one so they don't get lost !!

A very handy little tool, fits most trv tails that come with the nut and olive loose/separate. I wish I'd known about these when I was site bashing, as times money, and these speed things up!

If your only doing 1 radiator it's a bit long winded. Can't be done with the radiator on the wall unless it's on the larger bracket without causing damage to the wall. But over all its brilliant. Saves a load of time when your doing a few.

A good, simple idea that does save a bit of time with most valves. For the price you can't complain.

Good bit of kit, makes the job easier and like other reviewers have mentioned works perfectly for the old style panel rads with the fins on each side where getting an adjustable in is awkward.

Only brought o e of these recently and what an absolute life saver, no more winding in tad valves and spanner slipping or scratching side panel.. Great but of kit

A really good and simple tool. It's ideal for fitting valve tails to older rads with the fins on the side which can make it awkward to fit with a spanner alone.

Providing you have the space next to the rad to use this it's such a time saver and makes the boring process a doddle. Always recommending these to friends!

Really good idea fits branded TRV's but some of the trade ones don't fit so can be hit and miss but saves plenty of time when you have TRV's that are compatible

wish i had got one of these years ago when i was house bashing would have saved so much time

Use it once and you'll never faff about with a spanner winding rad tails in again!

Fits all good quality rad valve tails, had a few cheap / own brand rad tails that it hasn't fitted. Good time saver.
