Monument Socket Forming Tools
Monument socket forming tools (copper pipe jointers) are ideal for joining 2 pieces of copper pipe of equal diameter together without using fittings.
The loose former allows easier withdrawal of tool after use. The resulting capillary joint that is left can be soft or hard soldered to finish the joint.

Not used it often but I really like it, works really well, easy to use and forms a nice socket.
It does corrode a little quit quickly. And the grip moves around a bit. But over all small issues.

Right I’ve not had this that long it swages as it should and just make sure you use little lube as helps pulling it back out the pipe the big negative thou is the rubber sleeve over the handle it slips off very very easy making it harder when you want to pull it out of the pipe
