This is the non brushless version of Ryobi’s combi drill (they seem to have lots of variants which are practically identical except being brushed or brushless). Being brushed version it is not as good as the brushless version and performance is reduced as is battery endurance. That said it is cheaper and for most DIYers the difference is probably not that noticeable. If you are a professional user I would definitely spend the extra and get a brushless version. That said it is still great build quality and the one I have has lasted many years including extensive abuse during a house restoration (my old Black and Decker Professional’ drill died after just a few months).
