Armeg wood beaver stubby bit set

Properly well made auger bits.
Ive (admittedly) found the odd screw or nail with my 32mm and it still rips through joists happily.
They pull themselves through wood by design but better than most in my experience.
Even the screw type thread at the end seems to be holding up well and I must have had the same set for about 6 months now

Great kit. Used yesterday on a 12v drill with a dying battery and still made it through 8 bits of 4x2
Pull really well and good clean holes. Tough as nails.
Need more sizes now.

These bits are absolute beasts, goes through wooden joists with ease, I found works best with drill on slow setting which you need to grip on for dear life as these bits dont stop gripping

These wood beavers (both the stubby and normal size) are brilliant! They produce nice clean holes and go through wood like a hot knife through butter. I have had lots of auger bits in my life having restored several houses but the Armeg wood beavers are by far the best. They are not cheap but they make the job so much easier. So well worth the cost

Armeg are the best when it comes to wood bits.
These ones don't disappoint and are high quality drill bits.
Stubby set is perfect for going dead straight through joists and they sail through, no problem.

Purchased these for drilling joists for cables . Used with an angle drill and the sail through . Stay sharp for ages too . Had them for over a year now but don’t use them everyday !

Had a set of these for a couple of years and they’ve been great! Being stubby you don’t usually have much trouble drilling a nice straight hole when working up between joists or under floorboards. When they’re brand now the absolutely eat through timber. Quite expensive but reasonably hard wearing, they do say they are nail proof but I always try to avoid that as much as possible to prolong their life

Brought these a few times now. Loved them when they first came out great bit of kit just to use for wood, as a plumber decent option of sizes to run 15 & 22mm pipes

These bits are awesome for what they are - it they are almost like disposable blades - they go blunt very very quickly - so definitely not worth the money

Great set of bits, with an SDS adapter thrown in for good measure.
Built to last and definitely my first option for running cable through joists.

I love using the mini augers that go straight in the impact driver and make easy work of hole drilling. I have the nail proof ones and they last better.

The wood beaver is amazing! These drill bits eat through joists for cable runs. I’ve had the same bits for about two years now and they’re definitely worth their weight in gold. The only sign that they’ve had some use is that they need a little extra pressure to get through the other side once the self feed screw bit is out, other than that I wouldn’t even know. Would highly recommend these bits!

For drilling through joist for new cable runs this product is fantastic. It’s short length enables access even when space is t at a premium. They have remained sharp through multiple use and I continue to use frequently

They got through wood pretty quickly and the length is helpful. They didn't seem to last long considering the price though so I tend to use other options.

I've had this set for around a year and so far I'm really impressed with them , I like the quality and the attention to detail. fab product would highly recommend them

I've had one of these and they are superb. They cut through wood like the proverbial knife through butter. Their stubby length makes them easy to get into tight places and the pulling power of the bit is terrific.

Great hole bits for going through joists all day long. Shorter length helps getting in between the joists to allow straight drilling. We’re sharp and sharp and the thread to start gets you started easy.

One of the best wood beavers I've used. Although they do seem to blunt quicker than some on old joists.
Keep them sharp and they will pull through the joist quickly. The short compact size is also a plus, allowing you to get into enclosed spaces. Definitely use with an impact driver.

These are great and the short size is very helpful however not the best I have used (I'd give them second place). I think I hoped for a bit more from them, seemed to go blunt quicker than expected.

Great bit of kit. But the other kit armeg do that drills through nails in wood are better. But this is a great kit and would highly recommend. Need to keep them sharp tho. Look after your tools and they look after you in the long run

These are a good stubby set. Had mine for a while now, as long as you keep them sharp they will do a good job!
Smaller hex fits in my Dewalt angle drill chuck... perfect for them tight spaces.

Great bit of kit to start with, worked really well compared to spade bits, however they become blunt very quickly, for the money paid I ended up not buying again and resorted to spade bits.

Wow can these chew through wood, forget impact flat blades, once these bite they just go. Makes a huge difference when you have multiple beams/joists to drill, so fast and clean cuts. Never will buy flat blades again!

These are great much easier than a flat bit get the job done quicker with less drill kick .
Be careful thou as once the grip on they eat whatever your working on

Have used these for a few years as the eat up joists. They are really useful and easy to use for drilling lots of holes in joists to run cabling through. They do however blast through the other side of the hoist but that is no problem as it’s always out of sight. I use to use normal spade bits but they went blunt very quickly and needed pressure to be consistently applied where as these pull themself through the joist

These do such a good job. I use them with my 18v impact driver and cutting holes in wood has never been easier!! They can also be resharpened with a bit of precision work with the grinder, i have had my set for 4 years. Same sat just keep resharpening.

Nice quality bits very sharp. You just have to be careful when they snag. Nearly breaks your wrist if your not concentrating haha. But they do the job and if you hit a nail it normally pounds straight through them.

Really good set of bits they fly through joists but I find that you get a lot of splintering at the back of the joist so no good for fine work.

Absolutely fly through joists and stud walls, little costly but worth the money, the threaded end pulls the bit through so you dont have to put to much pressure on

Having used other brands all i can say is stick with armeg. Yes they are a little pricey but its worth it. Flys through joists

Great for the squeeze between joists when used with a short battery drill, pricey but good quality and i think it’s worth it. Well constructed.

Been using these now for a while, again with Armeg they are on the pricey side but compared to how many flat wood bits they out perform in reality the price is not that bad, ideal as it's stated for drilling joists when pulling cables as they allow for my drill to drill horizontal straight holes most of the time due to their length allowing for the drill to fut between joists. Good piece of kit and would highly recommend.

Good piece of kit to have when having to put pipes through joists. I used an angled driver which made the job much easier. I would have expected them to last a bit longer.

Thought I’d would have gotten through a lot more joists before they started to go blunt and over work my 18v makita cordless drill especially for price. Still fly trough reasonably easy with 240v drill though

Brand new there absolutely great but get blunt so quickly unless im just expecting too much but nearly £40 for the set of 3 i dont think im expecting too much.

Nice wood drill set, thought it was god best until another brand ane out, but i expect everything has its lifespan

Found that when it first bites it catches the wood in the bit that pulls the rest through. Bit annoying to keep cleaning the wood out. But once it catches it will go through anything.

Good when they are new but piss about when you use them a fair bit. I use the 20 and 25mm in my hilti impact and it gets through quickly apart from the very last bit after the thread has stopped.

I use these all the time and are really decent aslong as you don’t hit any nails they literally last forever - top quality value for money

These are the best drill bits I have ever had there are quick and easy to use great in a small spaces I will not buy anything else but the Armeg bits from now on just fantastic

Love these bits best I own apart from if your drilling cheap wood it will just split it can tell it’s got meat

Found that they didn't last very long. And the cordless struggled with the larger sizes unlike when I've used other bits

Much rather use a Bosch speedbit over these. They require so much torque and unless using heavier duty equipment to drill the holes then be careful not to burn out the lighter ones. Will not last long and if you hit a nail... BIN IT!

When new works verrey well but have stoped pulling through and now having to push hard to cut holes
I have a set of hole cutting bits free with drill about 10 years ago with tungsten teeth and still cut well

Fantastic drills that pay for themselves with the amount of time saved during a first fix. Expensive but worth the money. Just make sure you avoid screws at all costs.

the price has crept up over the years and they are a bit on the pricey side now, so you have to weigh it up if you use them every day a few times then they may be right for you? If you only use this sort of bit once in a while then a cheap flat wood bit may be better as you can pick these up at toolstation for around a quid!!

Bought these for drilling joists. They go through like a knife through butter, certainly make the job a lot easier and quicker. I used a cordless drill which did the job and they weren't too expensive.

Good value for money. Need a good drill or impact to drive this it to wood. Leaves clean holes. Just watch out for nails - otherwise will not last long. Average set last from 6-9 monts on day to day work.

I recently bought these wood bits, where have they been all my life, these are fantastic! Much better then any other wood but iv ever had, they are reasonable in price but high in quality

Brilliant set of wood bits...Makes light work of large dense wood. Need a powerful drill to make full use of these beasts. Deffo up there with the best and for a good price too

Brilliant set of drill bits. After 6 months the 20mm bit is starting to get a bit blunt but all the others are still going strong. Nice and quick to drill a row of holes. Just have to watch the recoil on your drill when it's on high torque with these bits as it can catch and spin your drill around if your not gripping it tightly.

Well made auger type drill. Stubby size is useful. However the centre threaded tip is to efficient and screws the drill cuttiers to the wood so tightly it can cause it not to cut into the surface but spin over it. The price is somewhat high when its efficiency is not always on point.

Fab drill bits, the stubby length means really good access when drilling between joists!
