C.K Tools Automatic Wire Stripper

This is an ok tool. Its fine for second fix works when consistent repetitive works are required like fixing a lot of down lights. The build quality is ok but may not last with a lot of use.

Brilliant tool for second fixing, especially downlights as they really speed things up. Build quality is ok but I find that the plastic length adjustment easily snaps and the plastic handle covers also fell apart.

Awesome tool. Strips all thicknesses of wire quickly and efficiently. Takes off outer insulation and inner without needing adjustment. Only improvement would be a left handed one.

Perfect for doing ceiling stuff during a 2nd fix, down lights, smokes etc. not the best for getting into a back box with due to the design of it. But over all its good for certain jobs.

Handy if I'm stripping round cable, positive action with sharp blades, it has a depth gauge that I never use. Build quality is good. Around the £20 mark.

Cheap and cheerful. The red plastic handle has cracked, possibly from chucking other tools in the bag but can't grumble for the price. Works perfect.

Bought one of these years ago. Ditched it for a different brand but now its my go to tool of choice for cable stripping. Often borrowed and not returned.

This is a must have tool for a variety of cable works, wish I had discovered earlier. Saves time and time is money. Worth every penny. Saves having to use multiple tools to do the job

I wouldn't use all the time, knipex are my go to pliers unless doing repetitive work, lights etc. Excellent on 1.5 and 0.75. So fast when you get the hang of then

Overall a good pair of strippers not the best on the market but for the price they good. The depth stop snapped after a few weeks but doesn’t affect the use of the tool. Good for singles and flat cable.

My go to strippers for the tiny terminals on down lights these days.
Don’t necessarily use them unless I am second fixing downlights as I wouldn’t have much use for the otherwise but the speed difference between these and conventional side cutters when doing downlights is incomparable.
Highly recommend giving these a go.

Overall, this product is good. It does the job when it comes to stripping cables, but personally I found it very fiddly due to its size, maybe due to me having smaller hands, but then that should'e been taken into consideration.

Ive had mine for ages and I love them. The cutter isn’t that sharp on them but it works. The stripping function is very good as long as you understand to adjust the dial every time you go to strip a different size cable or you will damage the cable or the strippers. Quality tool would definitely recommend.

When you have a day of installing a lot of wiring then this tool is a Godsend, very accurate and quick. Haven’t used the crimper in the handle as yet so can’t comment on that part. Would definitely recommend these wire strippers.

Just love these, I’ve got these and the Stanley version and I can’t see any difference! They work faultlessly on all cables removing the outer cable protection and even better on the inner protection. The flip over tail length setting is an added benefit. The whole unit is nicely weighted and balanced and the springing adds to the quality.

Good value for money but only really useful for flex as you can’t get tight to cable entry to strip. Build quality not the greatest as red plastic on handles breaks of easy had to tape mine back on

Always use these strippers for twin and earth giving the insulation a clean finish and makes the end of the insulation look smart when position in the distribution board easy to use and durable had my set for five years and still going strong

Great wire stripper's never had a problem with them quick and easy to use great with adjustable jaws. The set of crimps in the legs aren't the best but are good in a pinch.

Excellent, very easy to use, has multiply features, bulky but great, very cheap use them daily saves me loads of time when got loads to strip leaves a clean edge every time

Brilliant pattern of wire strippers. Great for small flex's on sensors and probes. Sometime the tension adjustment screw can wind loose a little.

A handy wire stripper which is mainly used for 1 to 2.5mm twin and earth cable. Very well built and excellent value for money. I found it a little difficult to use at first and had to mess around with it to get used to it. Also I found it quite bulky. However it has loads of features.

When first starting out as a sparky, when I was just a young apprentice, I had a set of these as I’d never stripped t&e before, strips the cable perfectly leaving it with a straight and neat edge

I find this to be one of them tools I don't no how I managed without I don't use them every day so cant comment if you were doing a lot of stripping, but for me would highly recommend

For the money these are on of the best automatic strippers out there. When working on twin and earth as long as it is a good quality cable they strip it great and leave a nice clean stripped end.

Good set of strippers with depth guide makes easy work of light duty cable. I do find the insulation often gets stuck after being stripped instead of ejecting. Other point is they're not the toughest. One bad drop caused my first pair to break straight away. Would only reccomend if you haveasd amounts of cables to strip. For the odd time snips are just as easy

A must for the tool bag, great bit of kit, used it loads, over time it gets a bit loose when cutting the cable but will strip outer sheath on twin and earth and then also the single cores

Great bit of kit that saves stacks of time when stripping cables. Delayed getting one but wish I had not. The fine adjustment makes it easy change cable sizes.

Great handy tool to have in the tool box, makes life easier when for example you have a lot to ends to strip adjustable blade for cable size smooth easy light weight movement when striping great addition to the tool box

A great tool which makes stripping the outer sheath of twin and Earth a doddle. It took a little bit of adjusting initially, but has been working well since. No signs of wear despite regular use, so hopeful it will have a long working life.

I absolutely love these use ghe everyday for making off cabling ready to go into downlighters only purchased them a year ago after a friend showed me his i dont know how i survived with out them i love ck as a brand strong and reliable

Great tool and although initially I wasn’t a fan after a few minor adjustments to the jaws the stripper consistently strips 8core and cat 5 without damaging the inner cores.

Have had these for many years. Quickens the job. Flat and flex cable no problem. Ideal for connectors that require conductors stripping to a fixed length with it adjustable depth gauge.

I’ve had these for a few months now and I mainly use them to strip cables for down lights it does make it much quicker. I’m still getting to grips with them but I wish I had bought them years ago I paid about £17 for a pair so not bad at all.

Had about a year now and brilliant pair of strippers! I don’t use them daily but every time I have they’ve worked perfectly and the crimper is pretty good too but can’t beat a actual pair of crimpers

You will either love or hate these. Can strip T&E very quickly both outer and inner insulation. The plastic clip for cable length will not last long but apart from that seems well made.

Great tool to speed up the job and very handy if a consistent stripping length is needed. Quite expensive but well worth it. Would buy again.

Superb strippers, wouldn't be without them. Perfect precise stripping every time of flat and round cables. Great build quality ans would recommend to any sparky.

Very good stippers, especially for twin and skin. Owned a Stanley pair which literally blew up one day whilst trying to strip 4mm cable before getting the CK which seem much sturdier than the Stanley ones ever did!

Makes stripping slightly faster however you get that perfect finish when stripping the cable back. It goes from 15 seconds to strip and terminate for a socket to 4 second. Which makes a massive difference when you are doing large works.

I miss you! I had a set of these for a good few years until the mechanism gave way, my fault for not taking care of them. They were perfect for stripping T&E, a nice neat strip every time. I need another set of these in my life.

Not a bad bit of kit however the little fiddly plastic cable stop thing has already snapped off with the second use, you can buy a cheaper copy pretty much anywhere.

C.K Automatic Wire Stripper is the best hand tool created for the electricians and security installers as it reduces the time of stripping and gives you more time fixing.

As would be expected well built and surprisingly tough. I’ve used these on and off for a few years now. I have replaced them a couple of times. But, they are useful if you want to strip the cables neatly and quickly. You have to be careful to ensure the stripped sheath doesn’t get stuck in between the arms by the jaws but apart from that simple and reliable.

These wire strippers are very handy, I especially like to use them when stopping a lot of Downlights or sockets. they definitely save the wrist if doing a lot of second fixing. Reviewed by Hodgson Electrical in Wakefield

These wire strippers are a great bit of kit. Ideal for stripping 3 core cable and does it with ease.
They can be a bit fiddly when it tight areas but are a valuable tool

Quality piece of kit. Quick and simple to use producing clean cable every time. Also cuts cable but not ideal. Makes installs a lot more straightforward.

Easy to use, push the cable in, squeeze, job done. Speeds up the job. Bit of a tight struggle getting the 5 core outer sleeving in but once that's off, can strip multiple wires at once

These are great for stripping downlighter feeds. Great build quality and good value.
I don’t use them for wall mounted accessories as they won’t strip back far enough but as I said they are great for downlighters.

Okay if your terminating cables in dry wall otherwise if your using them for fixed boxes you can’t get in close enough to strip enough sheaf off. Mine sit in my tool box barley used.

Great to use and can be stored away in tool boxes and bags, great to keep in the van. Would even be handy for use at home when needed.

Wire strippers these are perfect for the job even electricians look at me with the wow factor and ask me about them, some use the knife but others will be converted, simple to use excellent choise

Bought recently. Seems to have trouble stripping certain types of cable sheathing, doesn’t grip entirely and slips off, s,time shave to revert to my wire cutters.

Great set of strippers, will strip sheath and insulation on anything from 1.0 upto 4.0 without having to adjust anything. Leaves a nice clean edge and dosen't damage the copper. Only limitation is you can't strip the sheath all the way to the entry in a box.

Cracking piece of kit, easy to use, good build quality, many features including depth stop for final terminations, cutters, crimp tool although i dont really use this feature as i prefer to still use ratchet crimps. only issue with tools like this is there are always cheaper alternatives available which i have used in the past and not had any issues with so although the tool is a must have for any electrician for the price i would use a different brand but just my opinion.

This is the first one I use one of the tool and I think they are amazing very handy tool to have in ur tool box

Great little tool saves a lot of time, does the better job than some other higher priced products however it does feel a little cheap to use that said it’s become one of my go to items in the toolbox.

Great tool. Sometimes i find that the red tab breaks and the wire stripper wont accept 5core flex. Apart from that its a great tool.

Bit hard for getting in tight spaces but makes cable stripping easy and stress free. Worth every penny

Awesome bit of kit, reduces second fix times drastically, neater job and worth it for flex alone . If you can pick one up in one of COs half price days, I’d highly suggest doing it.

Had this a while and love them make wiring boilers and thermostats ect so much quicker neater and easier would recommend them any day

I bought this to help with a charity lighting install I was involved in. Perfect for stripping twin & earth cable as it easily does the inner and outer sheath.

The crimp facility is a bit poor quality though and nowhere near as good as a dedicated crimper.

Shopping around, I got a good price from a 3rd party seller on Amazon.

Good bit of kit, has its uses at times, but not essential and doesn't save any time. Provides a nice clean edge where cables stripped, but is generally too bulky to fit inside backboxes to strip cable far back enough.

Amazing product would be lost without these. Reasonably priced and good quality and make my job 10x easier. Would recommend for any size of flat cable and up to 1.5mm 3 core flex.

They are helpful on flex however the time it takes to go to your toolbag and haul around these big strippers you may aswell get yourself a pair of cutters or croppers and strip the cable that way

They are ok, better on flex than cable. But after watching my sparky mate use the CK cable cutters for striping as well as cutting i have since put them away and just use the cable cutters, much quicker!

On my second pair of these and find them very easy to use on 1, 1.5mm cable/flex. Can be difficult to get thicker cables between the jaws. Otherwise they are solid and reliable. Just watch you hands as I've nipped my hand in the cutter a couple of times when I've not been paying attention.

I have these, to be honest I stopped using them, easier to use my side cutters. But the product is good.

Was using side cutters for stripping 1.5mm twin & earth. They not perfect and need some adjustments but you can work much faster - especially when you need to strip cables above your head and install downlighters. Good value £18 so I keep them on my tool belt

I have some of these but am not a massive fan. Easier to use use sidecutters.

They are a bit fiddly to use and have too many 'features' to achieve not much.

I have the Irwin version and they are really handy, use them most days, with no issues. Well priced and great quality

Had a one of these for quite a few years now haven't used it in ages though find it quicker with snips, good tool for new starters as it makes life easier for them, wouldn't go out and buy one now as is a bit expensive for what it is and you could get a good pair of snips/side cutters for less

Excellent wire stripping tool, as an electrician of 16 years I personally do not use a stripping tool. I have one of these for apprentices to use, saves me time finding faults when they have knicked cables trying to strip with snis.
